Good evening or stay was fantastic there we bookt the hotel for my father and mother-in-law (the are 68 and 67 years old) .Because the were married in 2004.it was a late wedding gift. In 2004 my mother-in-law lost her battle against 30years of cancer and that same year my father-in-law found a nieuw girlfriend and they wantend to live together so they decided to marrie. my in-law family gift them a crystal statue we dint't like it and dit some thing else we save mony for a holiday to jamaica. And we went also because it was ore money.and we never been to a bounty island. We had a fantastic time 2 weeks.good food, friendly staff en clean rooms and the security is good and the helpt crossing over, or rooms where on the odder side of the road,we had rent a save for ore paspoort and order papers and that was good organized you had to sign when your going in (date and time) and out to (time) .We went olso snorkeling and we did go to the black river and the Appelton rum factory we had a few rain showers but most of the time is was sunny weather. And the sunset where beautiful. Ot stay there was FANTASTIC!! But i think that everyone experience there holiday different because we have different expectations and the way we treat each other.(if i'm happy the other wan respods happy and that is wat i meen by it). There was min point i dit lost all of my photos so we are going back same place but than for 3 weeks groetjes Barry en Bianca Kleinluchtenbeld Jasper

I love this little resort. Both the Beach and Garden side are great. The staff are nice and the food was good. It's very laid back, but very professional in taking care of their guest. If I could change anything it would be the music in the restaurant.I want to hear the local music. Your room and your personal effects are safe. Everyone takes good care of you from the guys on the beach to the security guard that helps you across the street. The housekeepers are sweethearts and the front desk will help you with anything you may need. The pools are sparkling clean and the garden is beautiful. Paul runs a tight ship but everyone including the staff are happy and relaxed.I heard other guest talking about how much they were enjoying their stay at Legends.I am always sad to leave this peaceful little piece of paradise. I'll be going back to see my friends at Legends very soon.

My husband and I spent four days at Samsara and then the last four at Legends...we were worried when we had walked to Legends from Samsara when we saw wall to wall spring breakers but by the time we had checked into Legends it was at the end of spring break, the beaches were less packed and were able to find a spot to lay out. You can walk for miles on the beach in either direction and find plenty of things to entertain yourself. We had a moonlight lobster dinner down the way and went parasailing. The staff at Legends were pleasant and helpful. The beds like Samsara were extremely hard and if you don't mind not sleeping thru the night, it's okay. Our room overlooked the water, it's safe to wander on the beach, security guards keep people from pestering you to buy something. The only drawback was there is limited chairs to sun in or few places to get any bit of shade which is helpful in the afternoon so you have to stake out your chairs at breakfast. I was impressed with the safety all along the beachfront properties and have no fear about sending my children down there next year for spring break, they will love it.

It was awful and don't stay there please. The place was not friendly and they lied to us about free breakfast and happy hour. The Air Conditioning in the room was beat up and ragged looking. The room smelled lreally bad and the front dest clerks were rude and all they care about is getting your money. We had a wedding there and it was very overrated when in came to customer satisfaction. They changed the wedding time on us and made my homeland friends I went to school with miss the wedding. Overall, it was not worth it and recommend not to stay at this hotel. Did not let us know about happy hour and then charged us as if we didnt know about it. Stay for 4 nights and not one bartender told us about happy hour. The same thing happend with breakfast stay four nights and told us the last morning that we had free breakfast. My nephew had reservations to stay at the Legends and when we checked in they told him that there were no rooms available. And sent him to the Barb B Barn motel down the beach. They overbooked the hotel for another group from the UK and left us hanging. We spent plenty of cash for the wedding and were not pleased. The only positive was the food was not bad at the place. If you're not on the all inclusive plan they scam you to pay extra money for food and beverages. Change menus for lunch and dinner. Overall, the beach is great but the place is real sneaky with the was they handle their customers. Other customers complained too about the rooms and food. The food was not proper for the the all inclusive plan. Don't Stay!

Our stay at the Legends Beach Resort was very pleasant. My husband and I took my 91 yr. old Mother with us and all of the staff was so very helpful and gracious to her. They even erected a ramp from our porch to the walkway and the walkway to the restaurant in order to make her not have to walk the 3 or 4 steps! Our room was very well kept and we always had towels and washcloths. They grounds and beach were very well kept, the walkway were swept several times per day, and the beach was immaculate. Security was out-of-this-world. We had no problem with beach vendors and felt comfortable leaving Mom in her lounge on the beach when we went in the ocean for a dip. My husband went fishing with the activities people from the resort and caught a huge Tuna that the cook prepared especially for us. I could go on and on because there are so many good things to say about Legends and Samsara. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing and casual vacation without all of the glitz, Legends and Samsara are the place to go. We will definitely go back!

We spent my wife's birthday in Negril. My mission was to get a trip for the cheapest price for a long weekend. We have traveled to a lot of Caribbean Islands and we like to adventure out and meet the native people and feel the day to day struggle on the islands on our own. The hotel was simple, clean and we felt safe. The bed was only a box spring mattress (or that is want it felt like) and very hard, and the door had a gap that let any type of noise in. This is not a hotel to recommend for anyone that expects to have tiny bottles of shampoo in there rooms, with pillow top and a silent retreat. But for the price and our personal trip it was okay bring your own toiletries even a wash cloth. We barely spoke to any of the Staff except from the security out to the street and on the beach, they were nice. Negril has a beautiful beach with a great sunset. The beach at the hotel itself is long but not very wide so it gets kind of cramped. If you like to stay within the area of the hotel security is watching. The security is there to protect you from all the hustlers and people that trying to make a living. The hustlers are like mosquitoes in the middle of a swamp but they usually only bite once and a firm no is okay. The reggae concerts along the beach are awesome and sometimes they are free.

There was no beach view from this hotel...Felt very mislead! Asked for face cloths didn't receive them for 4 hours later. Ended up leaving hotel and staying somewhere else, very dissatisfied. Didn't feel secure and was very upset that were not allowed access to the beach after 11:00 pm. I would never stay at this hotel

The rooms were quite pleasant and the staff was very friendly. The food was very good for the most part for the type of resort it is. i would stay there again. We did not do the all inclusive as we like traveling around the area to eat at many different places. The Samsara resort was also nice to visit.

Please keep in mind that this hotel is not a 5-star resort, but you can do pretty much everything without the fancy hotel prices. The staff was friendly; the security personnel kept a good eye on your belongings while you're in the water and they made sure that you weren't being pestered by the local hagglers. The rooms were small, but quaint and served its purpose (who lives in the hotel rooms on vacation anyway?). The extra money we saved by not going to the grand hotels (e.g. Sandals, Rui) we spent on water activities and shopping. Get the all inclusive package, if not just for the drinks!! Everything outside of duty-free shopping (don't waste your time) can be bargained-down; don't be scared to ask for a better price on things. We'll definitely return soon to the Legends, WE LOVE NEGRIL!!!

This hotel is for people who have been to Jamaica previously and like simplicity. It is a hotel not a resort. A bed, shower and TV is all that you can expect. This is my 7th trip to Jamaica but my first stay at Legends. Its perfect for needs.

This is a mid range resort with a great location and wonderful employees. Do not expect a 5 star, you get what you pay for!! If you want to be pampered stay at a 5 Star. For us, it was great. Will stay there again on our return. Andy & Bonnie

overall- it was a good stay. you get what you pay for. accomodations were comfortable and hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. the upkeep of the room was not that great though (broken knob on the faucet, leaky air conditioner)but it was kept clean. this is not the place if you want to get away and be undisturbed. it is far from feeling like an enclosed resort because it is in the middle of everything and, depending on where you're staying, you might have to cross the street everytime you want to hit the beach or the hotel restaurant/bar. crossing the street is not really a simple task either since people drive like maniacs there. but...if you're looking to be doing things outside of the hotel boundaries and just need a clean place with a comfortable bed to crash at at night- it's a good place to consider.

This was my very first trip out of the country and I had a blast. Even though this is not a five star resort the employees are friendly, the rooms are cozy, and the perks are great. The only problem with the room was that the A/C constantly leaked. The food wasn't that great so you should definitely try little restaurants in the city..esp. Rick's Cafe. The villagers by the beach were extremely friendly and gave us a tour for little to nothing. We went snorkling and got a tour of the city for under $100. Wow! I couldn't have asked for a better trip! So if you're on a budget and looking for a good time this is definitely the place.

Ok as long as you don't mind no bath tubs and only get room only, all inclusive offers very limited selections; buying off the menu and tipping for what you got was a much better alternative, good security on the beach which was a plus and the food chef and bar staff were great! I have stayed at several Negril hotels and this was ok as long as the website price is right otherwise there are several others that I would prefer; watch the price because sister hotel on the (Samsara) cliffs can contain same hidden costs and no beach but great sunset viewing

I guess I have been spoiled by the all-inclusive vacations I have taken in Mexico where there is beach-side service and EVERYONE is happy to see you there. MOST of the people were nice, the cleaning staff made every attempt to keep things clean. I wasn't looking for a 4 star resort experience but this was far far less than that. The all-inclusive plan included putting a tally mark by your room number for EVERYTHING you asked for. I was told this was done for inventory purposes but I have never experienced this before on an all-inclusive plan. It wasn't like I was having massive amounts of drinks or food but it made me 'feel' like I was being abusive where the plan is concerned. Drinks were served in juice sized glasses - so unless you sat at the bar area - most of your time was spent going back and forth. The other places I have stayed on all-inclusive plans (beachside) actually gave you on the beach service - drinks and snacks were brought TO you - not here. Not a lot of menu options... buffet served at limited hours and I THINK you could eat outside of those hours although I could never get a real solid answer on whether it was part of your all inclusive plan. Then little things like lightbulbs in lamps that needed replaced, pull knobs on drawers that were missing, tape on remote control to keep the batteries in. IF I would have paid significantly less for this vacation than I would have for places that I usually go in Mexico (I keep referencing Mexico because this is usually where I go when I need to escape to a tropical beach environment) then all of these little things would have been more acceptable. BUT this vacation cost quite a bit more for quite a bit less. It basically feels like I wasted a lot of money and my week's vacation wasn't as relaxing as I needed it to be.
