Good location. Very small rooms. No phone. Nearly invisible staff (and not in a good way). Breakfast adequate, but not included in room rate, which we discovered upon checkout. Very loud music and talking past 3:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Sometimes clean sheets. Worst of all, someone with a key (the maid?) went into my closed suitcase, rooted around, found my wallet, and took all the (US) currency. Leeson Inn has not even issued a generic apology.

I stayed in the Leeson Inn with Laura my new girl friend and we certainly hit off. I would certainly recommend this hotel on account of the reasonable price and its superb location.

Over and AboveThe staff at the hotel were very friendly, let us check in later than we had indicated and gave a lot of useful information about the local area with ideas on less 'popular' and crowded eateries, places to shop and even a good beauty and massage salon! Really, really helpful and above and beyond the call of duty!

Awesome location! We got a great rate, so weren't too disappointed that the bathroom makeover was pretty low-quality. However, rooms have been nicely made-over. Not great TV reception and 3 channels, so bring a book for bedtime! Staff is friendly overall. Continental breakfast is a huge rip-off. Walk next door to cafe for good coffee and reasonable prices. Overall, would stay there again.

Not a good HotelJust not a good hotel at all. Our room on the second floor was tiny and unclean. The paint was peeling off the walls, only 2 lights worked. The TV did not work and the wood was so rotten around the window that it woudn't shut. A warm afternoon meant that there were lots of flies in our room. There was an overpowering smell of drains, the toilet seat was broken and the shower made a strange sound when turned on. No real wardrobe and no proper vanity unit. The hotel is located in an area where there are lots of basement nightclubs that stay open VERY late. The burger van situated outside our 'open' window meant that we were kept awake all night by 'kids' coming out of the nightclub, drunk, swearing and shouting and even fighting! This went on until at least 5am. We couldn't wait for morning to come so we could leave! I feel we were completely 'ripped off' with the price we paid for this place.

Dangerous and shoud not be open in its current state.Very well situated hotel, but our two rooms were truely dangerous. Bare wires where the light switch should have been on the landing was not only lethal, but meant stairs had to be negotiated in pitch black. Plug sockets hanging from the walls exposing bare wires, a broken toilet seat, a loose bathroom shelf that nothing could be put on, a broken plug in the bath that you couldn't remove without a knife and 7 out of 11 broken panes of glass in the window completed the picture.

No reflection!This is in a very good location.It iswithin walking distance of city center and all bus routes.There was no mirror in the bathroom which made shaving a bit of a hazard course ,going from room to bathroom and back a few times. !!!

Excellent experienceMy husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Leeson Inn immensely. The room was smaller than normal but with all the amenities needed. The staff was always helpful and accommodating concerning our requests. They even stored our luggage for the last day as our flight was leaving Dublin late and and we wanted more time to sightsee. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a budget but still quality place to stay at.

Best overall value in Dublin city centreVery conveniently located, very comfortable, very good value. Note .. laterooms claimed that I saved over 200 euro on this booking. That suggests a list price of near 250 euro for a single room. That price is not achievable for this hotel in this economy, so would take that claim with a pinch of salt.Still, this is the best value in Dublin City Centre at this time, and that is saying something given the competition that is going on at the moment.

Ideal for a short break.We booked about 2 weeks in advance and thought the price of the room (144 Euro for 3 nights) was very good value. The reception staff, Miriam and Greta, were lovely; they were very helpful, courteous and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. We requested a quiet room and that's exactly what we got (Room 108). The room was an adequate size,clean and warm, there was good storage space, and the bed was comfortable . A bit of paint was peeling off in the bathroom, the lighting a bit dim, but such minor things didn't spoil our stay. Regular coaches go from the Leeson to the airport (7 Euro single or 12 Euro return) , and also regular buses to the city centre, but quite honestly it's better to walk; only takes about 15 mins. We would recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wants a basic, well-priced place to stay in a central location.

I arrived 2 hours before my boyfriend who was coming from the UK, I had hoped to chill out and watch TV. TV didn't work and neither did the phone to call reception. Some of the lights didn't work either and the light in the bathroom activated a fan so loud, that I didn't use the light. I went to explain to the receptionist but the hotel was apparently full and I could not move rooms. We asked to speak to a manager, there was none! The next day as I paid for the room, I asked for the manager again, still no sign. I was assured she would ring me, 3 days later and still no word. I know the room was cheap but seriously, it was a joke. The ceiling in reception was leaking too. Would not stay here again

Leeson's Downtown, DublinMy room was in the attic space, so small but cosy. The bathroom needed a bit of a 'refresh', but was perfectly usable and clean. The bedroom was fine. In some ways, it was a bit shabbier than similarly priced hotels in Dublin, but I enjoyed my stay as it was comfy and homely. The TV only has two English channels. You can get internet in all the rooms, which was great. It is reasonably near to the centre of town- you can walk to the main shopping centre is under ten minutes, and there are restaurants and bars nearer. The staff were helpful. It's good value for money for Dublin city centre.

Was allocated a twin room when booked a double, the first room should of been a warning to the standard here but alas the second room was even worse. Cracked tiles, sink coming away from wall, double glazing doesn't shut, mould in shower, dirty room, dirty sheets on bed, appaling cutomer service from the receptionists, who didn't care when we complained about the room........... I'd advise you to stay elsewhere.

The hotel was in an excellent location. Bedroom was lovely, however the bathroom was not in a great condition with paint peeling off the walls, a large plastered area on the ceileing, and sealant peeling off. This didn't, however, affect our stay, and we would definately stay there again
