Friendly service with a true smile, clean room, comfortable bed, a great & tasty cooked breakfast (incl. home made bread). Only a short walk to shops, pubs & restaurants. If I'd go back to Luton, this is the place I'd stay.

I will come backWhen I was looking for a hotel in Luton I end up with decision. Hilton or Leaside, there were £6 difference but the location make me go to Leaside. It was a good decision. 7min walk to train, 5min walk to city centre, nice restaurant and really quite room. I've already booked next stay...

Brilliant if you're on a budgetI stayed at the Leaside as i had a Works Party in Central London and needed to go but on a budget. i realised that 1/2 hour train journey from Luton and i was in Kings Cross so booked this hotel really cheap on late rooms. The room i had was very clean and looked up market ( the bathroom was tiny, but I didnt want to party in there anyway. The staff were very friendly, and helpful - the breakfast was a little slow, but it was worth the wait. so if you want a five star luxury hotel, this is not the place for you. if you want to stay in good surroundings, that are clean and tidy and only be half hour train ride from London - then book this one on Late Rooms and grab a bargain.

Good Hotel with 'B&B' ReceptionWe chose to stay at this hotel after looking hard for a good quality venue around Hitchen/Letchworth. With satnav it was not difficult to find. Incredibly small car park, but at least this was inside of an electronic gate for security. On arrival, two flights of stairs to the Hotel entrance which with two large bags meant 'one-at-a-time' was necessary. Don't be fooled by the 'seaside-hotel-type-B&B' Reception (which was disappointing). The rooms have recently been upgraded and were very clean/tidy and presentable. Some small comforts were still missing; at the time no Room information booklet was available, no tissue box, no soap, a safe at floor level(?), and the smallest of flat panel TV screens I have every seen in a hotel (14"?). That said, the food was excellent (even from the bar). The closeness to Luton town centre was convenient and getting out of the hotel to get on the M1 or go north was uncomplicated (helps not being in a rush). The staff are very welcoming, attentive and do the hotel much credit - (thank you).

Quick overnighter before a flightThe hotel is not very well located and a big sign saying cars were regularly broken into didnt help at first but we ended up parking under the CCTV camera. The hotel is a bit run down but we had a room at the back that had a double and two singles in. We had arrived about 2100 hours and when we asked about food we were told only the bar menu was available. However the £4.99 beefburgers were gorgeous and there were tons of chips so that was good. All in all not too bad a place to stop if it is only for a sleep over before the flight. The rooms were clean and the one we had looked as though some money had been spent on it.

Our short stay at Leaside Gastrotel was most comfortable. The staff were very polite and most helpful. The accomodation was of a very high standard, and although there was a wedding reception during our stay, it did not in any way impose on our comfort. The restauraunt was perfection and the staff during dinner and breakfast were charming and polite.

Worth making a detour to Luton forA great hotel, with a great restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive. The night we stayed there was a wedding party in the hotel and our room was directly above the disco. As soon as the staff realilsed we were not part of the wedding party they moved us to another room at the back of the hotel for a quiet night's rest. Without us having to say a word. That's what I call service! The room is tastefully decorated, clean as is the bathroom. The restaurant offers three different styles of menu (Thai, brasserie, and cooking on lava stones) all at reasonable prices and our Thai selection was simply delicious. My only regret is that I have no reason to come back to Luton again but the next time I do I'll make sure to book this hotel again.

Nice place in LutonHotel is a walking distance from the City center, the room was very clean and well equipped. The food was very good except the boiled eggs. thr first down side, the doors bang a lot, espcially in room 105, we wokeup a couple of times in the night. The Air Con was very good, made the room very comfortable. Ample of free parking and very well secured.

leasidealthough arriving late 2 am due to a flight delay, we were able to contact the hotel staff easily enough, one of whom was waiting outside to welcome us. we had a speedy easy check in,so much so that we dropped our bags and went down for a nightcap which the manager treated us to. our room was ample clean and suited all our needs. although arriving late it was a struggle to get up for breakfast, but wow arn't we glad we didn't miss it (our eyes were bigger than our stomachs), it set us up for the rest of the days traveling. would definatly stay here again, hopefully ariving earlier to saviour the friendly relaxing atmosphere. thanx to all managment and staff for taking the stress out of a stressful journey. alan party of three. june 2009.

Value for MoneyExcellent value for money in a clean and friendly environment. Our room was not only decorated to a high standard, but keep to a very clean and tidy standard. The quality of the fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard, with comfort a priority. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We would definitely stay here again.

nice stayit was a really good hotel and amazing value! was quite central but not too sure as i have never been to luton before. the room was really nice as was the rest of the hotel! it was big and spacious had lots of sky movie channels and good lil touches like tea and coffee, hairdryer etc the shower was a little bit dates but still ok and resteraunt had a great appearence and was really good value! but the traditional italian pizza was not very italian but big and cheap i would give it 6-7 out of 10. nice bar also and a nice manager who i over heard giving a room to 2 american back packers on the cheap as they had no where else to go! highly reccomended and good secure parking!

The hotel is very impressive in its decor, it is homely and informal, a very relaxed atmosphere with in the hotel and the staff, considering the location of the hotel, i was pleasantly shocked as it has superb character and would recommend any one to stay there. The staff very extremely help ful at the reception, bar and dining room, very polite.I feel if any one encountered any problems the staff and the manager would bend over back wards in order to resolve the situation. I lived in Luton many years ago and never knew it existed. Great Place to stay would not hesistate to call again.

OK place to stay if you've got an early morning flight from Luton...We stayed at Leaside as we had an early morning flight to catch. Room was nicely decorated but as it was a hot night, we had the air-con on which started making LOUD screeching noises every 10 mins from about 1 am. We had to turn it off in the end so spent the rest of the night sweating instead as if we had opened the skylight (no other window), the light would have kept us up. Bed was ok but one night was enough. Had dinner there too - food was ok - massive pizzas which were tasty but not cheap for location and environment. All in all, it was just an ok stay. Would probably try somewhere else next time I had an early morning flight but for £39, it was good value!

Different night different room!On the 2nd of our 2 night stay we upgraded to one of the more expensive rooms as a special treat. This room had a jacuzzi, seperate sitting area and a couple of flat screen tvs and it was very nice.Food again was very good, but service did appear fairly slow in the evening and was very slow for breakfast (which was due to just one person appearing to be on duty so it may have been staff sickness problems). Hotel in general is recommended though and we would stay here again.

Stayed one night, excellent breakfast, would stay again.I had to meet my partner off a late flight at Luton airport and so decided to stay in the area for the night. Took me a while to find the actual hotel (in my car) as my trusty TomTom took me to the main road in front of the hotel with no obvious way to get there. I went in a big loop and finally saw a sign that took me down a rickety service road through to the side of the hotel and I bagged the last space in the gated car park. Room was in the attic and was clean and nicely presented. I had to jam a piece of paper in the door (rm 204) as it rattled every time somebody opened nearby doors. Once done all was fine. Breakfast was great, I had the full English and it was the BEST cooked breakfast I've had in my many hotel stays over the years... Well done, keep it up.

Superior room reviewWe stayed in one of the superior rooms at the Leaside and overall it was a very nice stay. Food was very good in the restaurant (but much more than we could manage) and the room itself had a very comfy king size bed. The wooden floorboards in the room did squeak though, which was particularly annoying when trying to creep around witout waking the partner at night! :-)Overall a nice hotel that we would stay at again

This hotel is well worth a visit. Really friendly staff, excellent food and nice decor. The only let down was that my bathroom was looking a bit tired, carcked tiles and a cracked sink. Other than this, the hotel was very good.
