The Le Saint Sulpice Hotel Montreal is in the central area of Old Montreal, right behind the Notre-Dame Basilica and other historical sites. This location is only slightly out of the way, closer to attractions like Cite du Multimedia and Technoparc instead of the Montreal business district.
The Le Saint Sulpice Hotel Montreal can be found at 414 Rue St-Sulpice. It is about a five minute walk from Palais des Congres.
Guests can choose between 108 rooms, ranging from 500 to 1500 square feet. Guests who stay at the Le Saint Sulpice Hotel Montreal can choose between a loft-style room and single bedroom. Rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with modern amenities as well as fireplaces. The on site restaurant is called the S Le Restaurant and specializes in seafood. Meeting rooms can accommodate about 80 people, making it ideal for business travelers. There is also an herb garden in the courtyard area of the hotel.
If you are looking for a hotel in Montreal then the four-star Le Saint Sulpice Hotel Montreal will be one of the first considerations given its luxury and convenient location. It is very noticeable because of its hanging artistic decorations by well known artists.

This hotel was lovely with an outstanding location. The desk personnel was very knowledgeable and helpful. There is cobblestone restoration going on on St-Sulpice so access is somewhat challenging but not a huge problem. I would skip the breakfast at the hotel unless the complimentary continental breakfast will do, it was quite good but the hot, ordered breakfast was mediocre at best. The room was very clean and well supplied. We had the 1 bdrm. suite. I was disappointed that our room had the combo shower/tub as I read some rooms have them separately; I guess it's the luck of the draw unless you know to ask ahead. My only criticism of the room was that the duvet cover and pillow shams would have benefited by being laundered because they had an odor to them that could have been remedied, everything else was impecable. We chose to eat our other meals elsewhere so I cannot critique the restaurant. I did get a glass of house Chardonnay from the bar one evening and was shocked to see the tab for $14, and it wasn't even good wine. It would have been cheaper to drink a white wine split in the room's frig. Local calls are $1 each from the room which they do not tell you unless you ask. All-in-all, I would stay at this establishment again in a heartbeat.

Found it based on traveller reviews-they're true-couldn't imagine anyone having a bad experience here. [...] got us a really good rate (helped we were staying a week). Going for conference in Palais des Congres for 3 days of the week we (took my wife)spent in Montreal. Hotel is directly behind the beautiful Basilica of Notre Dame and in the center of the old port town part of Montreal. Less than 5 minute walk to Palais/Convention center (~3 short blocks)which also has entry to nice subway system to carry you anywhere you want to go. Surrounded by great restaurants from simple crepes and soup or sandwich to really fine dining ($8-15 each to well over $50 each. Street in front of hotel under construction so had to get bags up from corner - but the hotel had a porter there standing full time looking for anyone with a need ready to fill it - rain or shine he was there as we came and went down on the corner. Construction wasn't a problem - street was actually quieter due to this. Room soundproof, everything worked well. Huge windows end of suite that opened like the whole wall was gone - over the courtyard of green trees and the sound of water from a fountain. I'm not sure which room we had, I paced it off from door straight through to the other end at about 45 feet front to back. Bedroom was smallish but had big double doors opening into suite if needed. Separations made it nice for wife to sleep in when I was getting ready for conference. I highly recommend getting the Continental breakfast-very worthwhile and paid for itself many times over as we'd eat well there and usually only eat one more big meal a day. We came in YUL airport and I'd suggest the taxi or Limo to hotel. If taking a train trip ( we left from here on an all day train through beautiful country down to NYC for a nother week off), the Amtrak station is just a few blocks by taxi.

The hotel was wonderful. Clean, efficient, friendly, helpful, and right in Old Montreal. Definitely would go there again. And there are good restaurants and bistros within easy walking distance.

Staff was excellent, friendly and attentive - all both fluent in English and French, some even spoke a 3rd language of Spanish or Italian. Loft room was very clean, spacious, well lit, nice sitting area with extra loaded minibar and twice daily maid service. Free bottle water and daily newspaper (English and French versions) provided daily for guests. Location near Old Port great for activities and restaurants. Walking distance to Metro, busline, banks and major attractions. Good boutique type shopping close by. Food room service was good (so was food) and complementary breakfast (* extra for American upgrade) well worth getting up for. Consierge great at booking tours, tickets, restaurant reservations and suggestions for all. An excellent vacation due to the wonderful staff of hotel and beautiful friendly bi-lingual people of Montreal. Highly recommend this hotel and this city and plan on returing to Montreal soon.

The hotel was beyond our expectations! The rooms are very large and spacious. We felt like we were in an apartment. It is located immediately behind Notre Dame and just a few blocks off the St. Lawrence River. We walked to almost everything we wanted to see (wonderful restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing). The Metro was just a few short blocks away where we could get to anything not in walking distance. The staff was not only helpful but they were extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book here if we ever get back to Montreal!

My husband and I enjoyed a four night stay at this excellent hotel. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and most helpful. Reservations for dinner, helpful hints on activities, directions from the hotel.... all of these things were readily provided by various staff members. The room was excellent over looking a courtyard. This is an all suite hotel with rooms in various sizes. Ours was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the bells of the cathedral from our open window. The hotel is centrally located for easy access to St. Paul street of Old Montreal. I couldn't have asked for a better location.

hotel was very quiet and staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant. our room definitely didn't have a loft like the reservation said, so I'm not quite sure what that was about. The hotel location proved very convenient, it was just a short walk to the metro and it was easy to get a cab to other parts of town. The free breakfast with the room was ok, not the best.

I stayed here with my 12-year-old daughter over Christmas week. Old Montreal is especially beautiful at this time of year and the hotel is down the block from the Notre-Dame Basilica where we attended midnight mass. We experienced highly efficient service the entire week and our suite was the perfect size for two people, affording each of us a separate space. Among the extras we enjoyed were L'Occitane products, the gym and sauna, and access to a computer for checking emails, The kitchenette in our room came in handy on the couple of nights we just could not re-brave the cold for dinner. The staff was helpful in recommending shopping areas (we were here during boxing day sales!) and precise when it came to bus and subway directions. We enjoyed the full breakfast daily, and one wonderful dinner in the hotel's restaurant. I've already recommended the hotel to friends.

Le St. Sulpice is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Old Montreal, just behind the Notre Dame Cathedral. Old Montreal is not the best place to bring a car--use taxis or the Metro if you can--but if you rent a car or you are driving there, the valet is quick and courteous. Check-in and the front desk are as pleasant as you'll find in Montreal. The rooms are very good sized, although the one-bedroom suite barely accommodates a queen-size bed. It might be better to forgo the suite and go with a plain room. The suite's living room is good-sized, with a fireplace and a window that opens up to the street. The shops and galleries of Old Montreal are right outside the hotel entrance, and you are only two blocks from the heart of Old Montreal. Overall, a great hotel, especially with the deal you get on Travel website! Compared with the hotel Web site, I got my flight and car for free.

The St. Sulpice is in the nicest area of Montral - old Montreal, right behind the Notre Dame cathedral! The room was OK. The hotel was not busy at all so they could have given us a nicer room (some have fireplaces!). The concierge was very helpful in finding out about the city and the restaurants we went to were amazing (Gibby's)! The breakfast was Ok - we would have liked more variety it was the same thing every day. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselved thoroughly.

For once, a hotel room described as "superior" actually was. The oversized room was a real treat. The bed was very comfortable, the room impeccably clean, & there were a lot of nice touches like a spa robe, Occitane toiletries, and a windproof umbrella that made a sudden storm no big deal. The staff at the Saint Sulpice are professional, polite, and unobtrusive. There's an air of formality here, but not pretense. I was tickled to see that what appeared to be a glossy black wet-bar counter in my room was actually a two-burner cooktop. There was also a microwave & small fridge. (OK, the placement of the microwave in a high cupboard was a bit quirky for those of us who aren't 6 foot 2, but that's a small quibble.) I love dining out whenever I visit Quebec, but as a solo traveler it's also a treat to fix the occasional supper at "home" after visiting the local markets. For those of you who prefer to leave all cooking to the chefs, enjoy the elegance, quiet, and excellent location of the Saint Sulpice. It's just around the corner from Notre Dame, the superb Centaur Theatre (English language), and the Rue du St-Paul, where you'll find many other must-visit cafes and bakeries. (If you're a fan of the 1930s comic book hero Tintin, be sure to dine at the Tintin-themed Le Petit Moulinsart.) The rate for the Saint Sulpice included a generous & varied continental breakfast. It's fine, especially if you're on a tight budget, but not a must, since there are even better options for breakfast nearby. (Don't miss Olive + Gourmando for its brioche with Valhrona chocolate & superior scones. Also deservedly popular for breakfast, despite being a chain, is Eggspectations.)

Our family of 4 had a great time. Our room was big & modern. A frosted glass shower ""wall"" separated bathroom from bedroom -strange! Everyone in hotel and city was nice, helpful, and spoke English. Especially enjoyed Old Montreal - hotel's location was key. Behind Notre Dame Cathedral, near shops, restaurants, and port. We were amazed how quiet it was and laugh everytime ""traffic"" backed up behind a horse and carraige. We never heard single car beep (just like NYC). All in all, a very low-key, relaxing, and stressfree city - perfect getaway. Would love a repeat stay.

We had a GREAT experience at the Saint Sulpice. Our suite was fantastic & very clean. We loved our courtyard area as it was cozy and private. The hotel staff from the front desk to the bell desk, housekeeping, etc were friendly and very helpful. The hotel restaurant has a very delicious menu and also a very nice continental breakfast. The hotel is located in old downtown Montreal and is located near pretty much everything (Mont Royal, Bell Center, etc). The old downtown area is quaint with many little shops and some fabulous little restaurants. The hotel exceeded our expectations!!!! We highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Montreal and will definitely stay at the Saint Sulpice on our next trip to Montreal

All rooms are suites and we booked the mid priced suite. The room was super clean, bed was very comfortable ( my husband has back problems and thought the bed was great),bath was first class. we enjoyed a gas fireplace and a view of the courtyard. The location was fantastic - a few doors down from Notre Dame and right in the heart of Old Montreal. We walked everywhere. Great restuarants within walking distance. excellent service. definately recommend to friends and would stay again and again.

From check-in to check out The Saint Sulpice is a really wonderful hotel located in a great part of Montreal that has consumer comforts by the dozens. From gracious staff to a first rate business center, this hotel more then met the needs of this traveler who was trying to pack too many things into a already crowded day in a city that I did not know well. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and appointed quite nicely. In fact, it would also is a place where my wife and family will stay on my sons college trip.

The Saint Sulpice hotel was fantastic; the rooms were very spacious, clean, and modern, and its central location in Vieux Montreal can't be beat. Restauarants, shopping and strolling around this charming part of town are only steps away. The only drawback is the shower, which is separated from the sleeping quarters by an opaque type of glass which enables other guests to see your silhouette while you're showering. Nice for couples, not so nice when you're traveling with friends. Otherwise the bathrooms are very large and clean. The staff was overall very helful and nice, but the breakfast service could be a little more efficient and speedy. I would definitely stay here again if the price were right and I recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The room was very nice, especially the gas fireplace which we very much enjoyed. The service was great from the parking garage attendents to the concierge. Highly recommended.
