Front Desk staff capacity for speaking English became poor when it came time to resolve a problem. Requested non-smoking room-and was taken to multiple rooms on non-smoking floor where where the trim was being stained with denatured alcohol and the walls painted with alcohol based paint. Requested room for three persons, had to call for bed and extra towels. Seems requests were handled one at a time to elicit tips; Air conditioning worked marginally-can't imagine how intolerable it would be in the summer!! Pool was closed for repair; This hotel does not hold to the same standards it has in the US.

Have stayed here many times. Good value and great location for Pyramids or excursions to Alexandria, Bahariya Oasis & Fayyoum.

It was like staying at home, the comfort level was awesome. After the long day out, Meridien offers the great view and excellent cleanliness. Although the only thing that disappointed me was the shampoos and conditioners. They should improve their standard here. Beside that this is the perfect hotel for every tourist. Would love visiting it again.

This Hotel is located very close to Gizah pyramids but I wouldn't say it is at "walking distance". The main issue is the price of the inside Restaurants. We didn't like the dinner buffet, nor the Breakfast buffet; the selection was poor except for the salads.

Excellent location for the pyramids and an easy 30 mins trip to the Cairo museum. There was some building work going on when we were there so the swimming pool area was a bit noisy. The staff are really helpful and pleasent, but everyone wants a tip which gets annoying. I would recommend this hotel though for its location and the food range was good.

If you came to Cairo to see Pyramids, hotel location is ideal. But there is too much traffic arround the hotel. If you want to see other part of see more than to see pyramids you have to choose another hotel. By the way, hotel really need to be renovated. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is full of staff, seems like there's two per guest. This isn't always a good thing because sometimes they're all over you, offering help and expecting a tip. Prices at hotel are 2x-3x those of local shops, bars and restaurants, which is a big difference. Location is good for pyramids but anywhere else is a rather long drive. Always use hotel cabs, good and cheap (by european standards). Hotel restaurants are decent but not extraordinary in any way. Minha house is close, however. Much better choice for fine dining, local restaurants better choice for egyptian food.
