Le Meridien is a fresh and decidedly hip place to stay. It has all the important elements that a good hotel needs - location, great service, and very cool rooms. Having never been to Vienna before I picked Le Meridien based on a whim. I could not have picked better. The location is amazing. Right across the street is the Hofburg Place and one block one way are both of the cities art museums and one block the other direction is the Opera House. The underground has a station just a short walk from the hotel. Also there are several very good cafes and restaurants easily with in walking distance. We were there 4 days and after walking our feet off the first 3 days the hotel staff arranged a coach trip for us with a sightseeing group that picked us up in the hotel lobby. I can't say I would use the sightseeing outfit again. The tour was rushed and left alot to be desired. However, I would stay at Le Meridien again. The hotel rooms had light wood floors, glass doors, soft lighting, high ceilings, a wall of windows, and a stocked mini refrigerator that was free. Wow. Also they provided us with a lap top computer at no charge. My favorite part of the hotel is the elevators. Three magical elevators - all with dark blue lighting and each with a different sound track. My favorite was birdsong. The effect was so soothing...

Great elevators. Vastly overpriced breakfast. This is a very good hotel in a superb location - just down the street from Vienna Opera. It's got its quirks, though. The glass semi-see-through doors to the bathrooms won't be to everyone's taste. On the other hand, the elevators with changing lighting and underseas sound track, and the free minibar added an unusual touch.

1) While the hotel promotes green environment and encourages guest to save water, the designed of the bathroom shower does not support this action. Water flows out of the shower room and make wet the whole bath room floor. At the end, guest needs to use as many towels as they have to cover the wet floor. So, very wasteful! 2) Mattress of the bed is too soft and all pillows are too soft. When asked for a firmer pillow, I was given a cushion.

A good place for the money. The vienna sausages on the pillow were a nice touch!

This was a great hotel with great service. I booked it because of a great rate sale on Orbitz and was not disappointed. It was easy to get to and was in a great location for exploring Vienna. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was gorgeous, very modern and sleek. The only complaint I would make is that when we checked in, I felt like it was implied that breakfast was included, but it turned out to be 25 Euros per person, which was quite steep considering I thought it was included. It was a very nice breakfast buffet, but we had just come from a similar hotel in another city where a very similar breakfast WAS included in the nightly rate, so I was a bit dissapointed when I was asked to pay for it upon check out. Overall, though, it was a great stay... and it was probably my own fault for being naive enough to think the breakfast would be free in such an expensive city.

Close to the underground. No air conditioning in the rooms, very noisy on the street side. Friendly staff and close to the me metro but would not stay here again because of lack of air conditioning in the rooms.

It was overall ok. I think the Meridien name commands better things, ie good sun block curtains so that the room is not so bright at 7 am.

While the hotel was nicely kept & modern in design I found the beautiful bathroom had no accomadation for hanging toileties or clothes. Rooms were very nice & clean. Resturant gave a nice presentation but is a little expensive. Location was very central too all amenities.

Free internet, location to museums and subway. The hotel has modern decor, which is great. Having a soaker claw tub was amazing, free internet computer in the basement was an added bonus.

Put in a room above the kitchens - had to ask to be shifted because of the noise all night. Trendy rooms - busy hotel in good location

The Le Meridien was a grat location in a wonderful city. Room were beautiful with all the needed features. Our view was great and the staff was attentive to our needs. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay in a central location in Vienna. The facilities were excellent and the convenience to the sights just great. In room high speed internet access and the fitness area were nice touches. The bath and shower were unusual but most luxurious.

Very modern, great location and you can walk to the museums. Great location. Hotel has very modern rooms. Food was good. But mostly the location is perfect for tourist, that was the most important to me and that's why I would recommend it.

Great modern decor. Great location. Free Internet access. Comfortable beds and pillows. Trash cans too small. I traveled with my wife and 18 year old daughter. We stayed five nights. We all liked the hotel. Short walks to Opera House, Museum Quarter, shopping, restaurants, movie theater, subway, tram and bus stops, grocery store and bakeries. This was the best deal I have ever gotten on a hotel room.

The hotel was amazing. The room was beautifuly decorated. Our queen size bad was white and so soft. The hotel is located right on the Ring. A problem with the room was the shower because there was no curtain and the water flowed all over the bathroom. The room service is very expensive. The hotel was wonderful. It really made our weekend worth while. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was amazing. Beautifuly decorated and equiped with on the house" drinks that were replaced every day. The hotel is located right on the Ring we hardly used the subway (which is right at the entrance of the hotel).Have fun :)"
