standard room was the smallest hotel room i've ever seen. as soon as i walked in,i realized that i will not be able to live in this room for 4 days. they said i can upgrade to a room 3 times the size for an additional 40 dollars per night. i felt it was unfair bec. i couldn't get a refund, and the original room was as small as an elevator.

The young men who helped with beach chairs were great! Very friendly and attentive to our needs, always pleasant. Room too small, no ice on any floor, no vending, no coffee in room, clunking noise all night every night, ridiculously high drinks at pool bar. This was a disappointing 4-star hotel. Many small conveniences you would find at the Days Inn for 1/3 of the price of this small room (obviously the Priceline rooms)ie: coffee maker, ice, etc. Were not available. The spa's steam room was out of order for the 6 days we were there (though the massages we had were great and the spa staff friendly) Have stayed at other 4-star resorts where drinks were no where near the prices charged at this hotel. (Ex: $5 for an ordinary small bottle of water? $15 for a weak drink in a small plastic cup?) Other than the cabana guys who treated everyone respectfully and were terrific can't say much for the desk attendants.Had to pay for a USA Today. Only offered to special preferred guests.

The Good: The beach is beautiful! They have great staff that will put out chairs and umbrellas and serve drinks. There were several children there but the only place we saw them was on the beach - inside the hotel was very quiet. We did not take our 3 yr old son - but after watching the kids play in the sand we wish we did! So, it is a great place to stay rather you want a romantic vacation or family vacation. Also, the view from the back patio is gorgeous! My husband and I sat there and watched the waves and listened to the ocean. Yes, you have to pay for parking - but we never had to wait very long and it was much better than trying to park our car by ourselves (very small entrance!) We came and went several times a day and it was never a problem. The rooms are very nice - with modern design. Ask about square footage if size is a concern for you because you may be surprised at how small the smaller ones are! Luckily we were upgraded to a 900 sq ft suite - because they were out of ocean views (which we had reserved) - so in exchange for a larger room we got a view of the street! It really wasn't too bad - the balcony wrapped around and we could see alittle ocean. OK - now the bad. When they say Ocean/Partial Bayview - that means you will be looking at the hotel next door and it you look hard enough you can see a little bit of ocean from your window. If you really want to hear and see the ocean good - you have to get ocean view only.

We loved the stay there. At the reception friendly open welcome. We spend some quality time there especially when we ordered food to our room and have a waiter serve it outside We loved the stay there. . The service on the pool and beach was good, we received everything what we've asked on time.

Our experience at Le Meridien Sunny Isles was bad at best. When we arried, we had to wait 2 hours for a room at check-in to be provided with a room key. While the lobby and restaurant (BICE) are open and very well maintained, this cannot be said for the room. We checked out one day early as the smell of mildew in the room was overpowering. To try and illustrate this, both of our suitcases have taken on a sight damp / mildew-lik odor that was only eliminated after having placed them on our deck in the sun when we arrived at home. It took two days for the smell to no lnger be present. The carpets and tiled floors were very dirty. A good steam cleaning would have been required for the room to be acceptable. There were also no clothes hangers in the closet. One day ou room was not serviced by housekeeping. When we contacted the fron desk at 6 p.m., we were told that someone would call us back as thre was to way that this could or should have happened. Approx 1 hour later, we called the front desk again as we were in need of fresh towels. A person from guest services brought some towels and proceeded to inform us that housekeeping had indeed taken care of our room for the day. We reiterated this was not he case, even welcoming him into the room to see the the bathroom had not been cleaned and the bed had not been made. He again stated that we were mistaken. OK readers, I assure you that we were in no way mistaken about our room not having been cleaned / seviced by housekeeping. Not quite sure why the employee felt the need to state that we were incorrect, but it is irrelevant at this time. Just know, the service level was not at all at the level I have experienced at other Le Meridien properties. This hotel is sub-standard at best. Final note: If you are interested in a hotel that allows in excess of 6 guests ( 4 adults) in one room, Le Meridien at Sunny Isles Beach is for you!

Right on the beach. Valet parking was required (no other options) and charged $25/night plus tipping. There was an obligatory resort fee of $16/night that was not disclosed at check-in or on the website. Internet service in the room was not included and was an extra $13/night. The standard room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. There was barely enough room to walk around the bed literally. I felt crowded being in there alone.

- pictures do not tell the truth - THIS is not a meridien that one might know from outside the US- pool is minisculous squeezed against a wall, only around 10 beds around pool- towel vouchers for 50USD each- breakfast a real rip-off, not even toast, butter and jam come with an a la carte 90 USD breakfast- personnel very friendly, rooms clean, huge kitchen and fridge in suites- sofa beds in suites extremely uncomfortable - metal buttons sticking through- valet parking 25/day - extremely expensive and no where-else to park in the area- an additional approx 55 USD/day in taxes and resort fee- check out time 11am, even 1pm check-out with a toddler prior to a transatlantic flight was not permitted- their treatment of a guest does not deserve a 4 star rating- whole beach, pool, restaurant were closed for an entire day without prior warning for an hotel internal event... without any apologies, compensation offers ..

I stayed in the suite and the view was spectacular. Sleeping with the glass doors open was definitly the highlight. Restaurant room service for breakfast and dinner was exquisite. Great place to relax in comfort on the ocean.

Nothing. Surprise resort fees at the end of the trip of $16 a day, for a total of over $65. Rooms did not have two beds, rooms were very small. Stay away, this is definitely not a 4 star hotel, more like a 2 star hotel with a tiny pool, but with 4 star extra charges for parking and resort fees.

Parking is 25/night. Regular rooms are extremely small. Pictures are misleading. Room was not clean..ex: coffee/drink stains all over desk and bathroom sink was dirty also. Expected more from such a pricey hotel. Movie rentals 15/movie.

Pool shaded by 2 PM, overpriced food. Parking fee is high, the room was small, the pool is shaded by 2 PM. Polite staff, fine beach front access. Don't eat in the restaurant. I would not recommend.

Good location, very good beach access. Pool terrible, too small not enough pool side chairs. The room was awful. The standard room is too small for comfort, very little space. Pool is substandard for a 4 star resort, limited pool side seating. Beach access excellent, great location, well maintained but lacked that extra something to convince me. Staff friendly, but service was mediocre overall. Would not recommend for romantic vacation, but seemed to be family friendly.

Location and beach service. Understaffed. Late with room for checkin. I have never really stayed in a place that does the little things so poorly. Room was not ready until 70 minutes after check-in time. Sheet was missing on the bed. They sent up a sheet 20 minutes later and handed it to us. Only when I asked did they send housekeeping to make the bed. Had to wait 20 minutes for someone to open the boutique during opening hours. No newspapers available in the hotel. However, the facilities were nice, location is great and the beach service was excellent.

"Reserved an Ocean Front Room and was upgraded to a corner suite with kitchen, livingroom, 2 bathrooms and washer/dryer. Room was clean. Staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. $25/day valet fee and $16/day resort fee is unavoidable, but was worth it."

good location to everything, clean, excellent access to beach room, additional charge for wireless access, additonal resort fee should be included or added with priceline. Found out later that a fully equipped condo in the same hotel could have been rented at the same price.
