The hotel is clean and the staff very kind. The rooms are clean and the pools perfect! The location of the hotel is really good, too. It is not in the town which is good, due to great traffic, especially in the evening. You are only 20 minutes away (by car), from the main attractions of the city, like the Mall of Emirates.

I had a late check-in and arrived around midnight looking forward to getting some rest after nearly 10 hours of traveling. They show me to my room which smelled strongly of smoke. When I asked for a room change because I had specifically requested a non-smoking room, they said that they had non available (in a 400 room hotel!) and that the fault was with Orbitz not with them. I had to wait another hour until I finally got my room, and nothing was offered to compensate me. I still paid the full price for the room even though I didnt get it until nearly 2am. All they offered was an orange juice while I waited in the lobby. And instead of being apologetic they seemed annoyed that I was making a fuss.

We arrived very early in morning and they gave us drinks and let us use the spa to shower etc until our rooms werew ready. Arranged transport to airport and reasonably priced caes to take us around Dubai.

Although this Hotel is in the middle of the new constuction of a rail line, you wouldn't know it. It is so peaceful and the sounds of birds chirping at the enterance has to be experienced. No fault whatsoever in the facilities/service and the hotel staff could be aired. This was an excellent Hotel and I would book again. A great holiday destination.

Hotel rooms are very nice and recently renovated. But e.g at the pool areas could be in a better shape. And sometimes the airplane noice can disturb espesially at night time. Staff at the hotel is really frendly and always willing to help.

"I first went to the airport Meridien hotel in 2004 and returned in 2005. Second time around the hotel had made some major improvements and renovations. Being close to airport is a plus point and it's very easy to get around to beaches / malls / souks etc by hotel provided transport / taxis (which are not exp). There are lots of different, very nice restaurants attached to the hotel - you don't really need to leave the hotel for your meals. Shop around for best deals for your stay at this hotel.... rates vary a lot between websites and travel agents. You won't go far wrong staying here."

We spent a few days in this hotel while touring UAE; it is located close to the airport, affordable and good cost value relation. It has an hourly shuttle to a commercial center which we found very handy; then, either in the hotel or in the commercial center, you can book the different tours in offer. The hotel has different restaurants; buffet breakfast was very good; lobby cafe just average; then we tried the french and the japanese; we liked everything in the first one but the second one was dissapointing. We ask for teppanyaki, so they sit us in a teppanyaki table sharing with other guests, presented us a menu, we ordered (of course we assumed it was teppanyaki) and then brought us dishes out from the fridge. The explanation: what you ordered is not tepanyaki. Well, Thank you very much.

I was very impressed with the hotel and would definitely stay there again - maybe for a bit longer, so I can enjoy the excellent facilities more. The staff were all very friendly and the room a good size and comfortable.
