Great location, great staff. We stayed there for two nights and had a great room on the 3rd floor. Very modern, great beds and cool shower and bath. We returned a week later and stayed one last night. This room was on the 5th floor. The room was a bit smaller than our first stay, but was still nice. However, the walls (or ceilling) were VERY thin. A neighbor had a wake up call at 5 AM which we heard. When they took a shower, it sounded as if the shower in our room was in use! The staff recommends the cafe/bar across the street - don't go unless you're looking to hang out with college age people. Certainly don't go if you want anything more than olives or cheese to eat.

I found this hotel to be very noisy. Not because it is on Las Ramblas but because the walls are so thin. You can hear other people through the walls or when they walk passed our room which woke us up late at night/early in the morning. You must remember to put your do not disturb sign on your door as we didn't and housekeeping disturbed us 3 times between 8-9am. We had no view and no balcony.

Big, spacious walking shower. Not much closet or drawer space. Modern design.

I visited Barcelona with my family. We asked for connecting rooms but they were not available. We were given rooms in the same floor facing each other.. Rooms are small but beautifully decorated (modern and of course with heavenly beds which I learned later in the trip, are hard to find in Spain !!!! The best location.! Staff speaks English. We will be back !!!

Location. Very noise, rooms are small, no amenity available at the hotel like gym, spa, or restaurant. This hotel is very well situated, very noise, you can actually hear the guest in the room next door flushing the toilet or having a romantic time, hotel is under construction renovation.

Husband and I stayed September 2008---reservation not relayed properly---had to argue for an hour to get the Starwood preferred guest upgrade which is just about automomatic in the US---also, getting non-smoking and a larger room was hard---view was terrible. Hotel has a lot of new amenities, sound activiated lights, glass doors, however, some rooms have only showers. Room doors are so heavy that the sound of doors opening and closing in the hall wake a person up. Not all front desk staff is bilingual and I had to use an interpreter. Staff kept showing us the rack rate "which no one really pays" to justify why they did not want to upgrade us since I had a discounted government rate. I viewed four rooms vefore finally getting one that was tolerable. Since we stayed a week and I am a gold member, I would have expected more cooperation. Rumor has it this is not atypical treatment for a BBCN hotel. The location is very good---it is very clean---housekeeping good---a few computers with complimentary internet are available. The hotel was safe. I would consider staying there again due to the Starwood program and location if the parameters were made very clear before I left the US. I wish there were Marriotts in BCN other than at the airport, or the Ritz-Carlton by the beach.

Rooms were 5 star plus. Nothing, everything was great. Great hotel, best location, right in the heart of the rambles, best rooms, plasma TV's in the main room and washroom. I rate this hotel 5 Star plus.
