Excellent breakfast set up except for two (essentially British) shortcomings, namely 1/no toast available, 2/only scrambled eggs, and no poached, fried or boiled --- otherwise, Superb!

the room we got has not seen normal maintenance for a long time.part of the hotel has been refurbished and is OK but check the room-and the bed- you get!

The hotel is old and in dire need of modernisation. The bathroom was really bad, water wouldn't drain properly from the plug hole, when taking a shower, the toilet was blocked, had to call in maintenance. However, the staff were great, very helpful. Make sure when checking in you ask for a renovated room, as the hotel is a grand old hotel which is being refurbished in stages!

The Gallia was a fantastic location and completely exceeded my expectations. The interior was beautiful and lavish, transporting you to a bygone era. The staff were extremely friendly and helped make our weekend extremely memorable. I would definitely not hesitate to stay there again, or recommend it to friends and family!

There was a smell from the toilet when we arrived, and the hotel sad it was normal....! Then at the checkin they even didnt gave us a smile. the nice PianoBar on 8th floor was closed(for ever? looked like they have closed it in a hurry) even the sign said it was still there. breakfast was nothing special, normal will i say, but the best service we got in the hotel was there. I promise i will never stay there again, absolutly not worth it.

We have stayed at this holel twice and have had great experiences both times. Our rooms have been large, clean, and well-appointed and the concierge and other staff are great. I was surprised to read the other reviews--the hotel is well worth the price and is well-located. I have never felt the least insecure about walking from the train station to the hotel at any hour of the day. The Baboon Bar is a wonderful looking place, but the prices for the drinks are sky high.
