The hotel was overall nice, the location was quiet, on the lagoon side of the island, nice quiet place to lounge on the beach and the water center was always nice and willing to help. The pool was a little cold, not heated, and we never found the hot tub! but we had the ocean. Free breakfast, was not the best! so don't plan on it. We stayed a week and never got new sheets, but we never asked for them, so if you want clean towels and sheets you need to ask. The front desk was always friendly and helpful. If you don't speak french don't plan on watching any good tv the selection is slim and all in french. But overall for the price it was a good place to stay and good service.

The room was actually much larger than I had expected. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice to have a large patio with a fridge and sink. The beach on the property is not a good one for swimming, but great for laying in the sun. The employees were nice, the grounds kept clean.

It is a European hotel, with the toilet separate from the shower, and a general feeling like many of the accomodations I have stayed at in Italy and France. It is not a Four Seasons in the US. The bed was a true king sized bed, but the mattress was not super comfy. However, the room was large (more of a suite, really), and it was quiet. The pool is great, with a bar right next to it, and the little beach on Simpson Bay is a nice place to soak up some sun. The staff was helpful in calling taxis and arranging a car rental. I only ate at the bar, not the main restaurant, and it was fine for a snack, but with the great restaurants in Grand Case in Marigot, I did not plan on eating at the hotel. The grounds are pretty with tropical plants and flowers. The location is decent - we walked to Marigot, but I live in New York and walk everywhere. It is not that far from the Dutch side, the Atlantis and the casino in Maho. Baie Rouge is beautiful and not too far a walk away. Overall, I enjoyed the trip.

This hotel is four stars but it is not worth 1 star.It doesn't even have an elevator.We you arrive from a long trip and are 84 years old you have to beg that they take your luggage to your room !!!! I think it is very expensive for the service you get ! Beside that, the breakfast is good .

The Hotel Le Flamboyant, on the French side, St. Martin worked fine for our needs. The rooms were large with patios, equipted with mini fridge, small stove and sink, kind of unusual. The hotel is on Simpson's Bay, not the ocean, very pretty but it is best if you have a car to drive to all the fabulous beaches close by. The guests at the hotel seemed to be from all over....which was fun. The hotel is minutes from Marigot, so that was great also. So yes, we would recommend and we own two hotels in the states.

From the very first minute I arrived I knew this would be a horrible experience. I reserved in June 2008 for just two nights of December 20th and 21st, 2008. I paid $* per night. I did not have exaggerated expectations due to the price; however, my companion and I were treated like dirt at this place. I am convinced it is because the staff suspected we are American. We did not receive a 'welcoming" cocktail like all others did. They do not provide washcloths (two hand towels, and two larger towels, that's it). There was no ice bucket in the room. The "kitchens" are outside of the rooms on the patios. The beds are about 3 inches off the floor - it felt like I was sleeping on a futon. My companion called the pillows "tissue boxes wrapped in a sheet". When I asked for an ice bucket, the front desk told me they would bring it to my room - it never came. When I went back down they told me "there was a mistake". There are no elevators and we were on the third floor. They would not give the wireless internet password - I had to bring my laptop downstairs to the patio so they could enter it. The pool is setup so you MUST step into a foot bath that was dirty before you can enter into the pool. They rip you off on the water sports too - there is one sign that says some of the non-power boats are "free" - it's a lie. Again, I travel around the world for a living - this is an absolute NIGHTMARE. Stay on the Dutch Side of Sint Maarten, and eat on the French side only. Do not stay on the French side.

"NOTE, this is an all inclusive style resort. Dinner costs about $37! Far away from most shops and restaurants if you do not have a car! Nice hotel, but staff and most guests speak French (TV is in French). Beach is on inner harbor, not the ocean.. so don't book if you would like to sit on the ocean beach! The dutch side of the island is much more ""happening"" and has more opportunites. Room was nice though, loved the outdoor kitchen!"

"Nice quiet hotel on the French side of St. Martin 2 miles from Marigot with friendly English speaking staff. Nice palm lined beach on St. Martin's tranquil lagoon. 2 well cared for pools, watersports, tennis courts, ample parking for rental cars with electronic gated security, 6 miles from Atlantis Casino. Choose a deluxe room with pool/ocean view. All rooms have outdoor kitchens on large balconies with table/chairs. Hertz car rental is outside hotel. Hotel offers room with/or w/o meal plan. Rent a car to enjoy many great restaurants. The hotel would benefit from some minor painting."

"Area near hotel not very happening, but hotel was fun - volleyball, bar singer at night ""Deuce"" was great. Pool-side food was outstanding. Drinks well poured. Best restaurant was Les Bouchaniers across the street from hotel on beach -- Unbelievable food and outstanding service."
