still can't get over how great of an experience we had at the crystal hotel. very elegant rooms, comfortable beds and a heavenly deep soaking bath tub! i will spare the details of the service i requested in the bathtub which the hotel staff gladly arranged for us. i will surely stay there another time when i am in montreal.

What a surprise. Fantastic location close to shopping, museums, bars, restaurants and the Bell Center. Spacious rooms with all of the latest amenitites. Definitely will stay here the next time I'm in Montreal.

You must see the spa on 12 floors! Inside pool with sauna. Hi-Tech Gym with view on downtown montreal. Thing you have to try is to take a Spa, outside, with the night view of Montreal! So wonderful, so relaxing.... The bed... Ohh my God!!! Indescribable! The room, well it's not a room it's a suite (all rooms are suites in this hotel). With small kitchen, fridg, plasma tv and ultra comfotable sofa. *Hotel with no kids. They don't have any room with 2 beds. You'll never have a suprise at 6am with kids crying in the hall. Room service was very affordable, service was real quick. Food was good. Everything was perfect! I recommend this hotel to everyone!

Originally booked to stay at the Ritz Carlton but due to major remodeling project they transfered our booking to Hotel Le Crystal at De La Montagne Street. The location is perfect, walk to three metro stations and rail station. Buses are convenient and same price as metro. You can walk to the underground City with best entry at the Metro stations and some stores at St Catherine's street. Hotel staff could not do enough to make us more comfortable. The small breakfast/snack bar is limited and a bit expensive. Our suite was well equipped with coffee machine, tea making, crockery and silverware for four plus a microwave oven. Well furnished sitting room with TV and generous storage. The bathroom is a dream. Bedroom has internet connection, writhing desk and another TV plus stacks of wardrobe and drawer space. The mattress is the most comfortable I've found in any hotel to date. The only negative was the view from our 5th fl window which overlooked the back of the YMCA. It was very quiet until the garbage collectors arrived one morning around 6.30am. Should we revisit Montreal and I hope we shall Hotel Le Crystal would be my # 1 choice.

Incredible room - very modern, spacious and SO clean and modern with every amenity imaginable. Great gym with great views and this hotel has glass walls and windows everywhere. Location is excellent a block from St. Catherine St. and near the Metro. Concierge was extremely helpful with dining recommendations. Great find

I had a very nice stay in Le Crystal. The staff gave me a warm welcome and while being sure that my room was ready, [...] offered me tea in the hotel's restaurant and answered all my questions that I had on respect to transportation from the hotel, places to eat, shopping, etc.The room was very comfortable, with a microwave, refrigerate, safe deposit and two plasma TVs and many other annuities too many mention. My overall experience was excellent and I will recommend this hotel to anyone that was to spend any time in Montreal.

We spent 4 nights at Hotel le Crystal and found it to be a wonderful experience. Our suite was perfect--roomy, clean, nicely furnished and lots of extras. The espresso machine was a great touch and easy to use. The location can't be beat for ease of getting around. The concierge Val was very helpful and everyone went out of their way to be friendly. The rooftop spa was fabulous on a cool night and the view was perfect. We would definitely book here again and would highly recommend it to others.

Everyone went out of their way to be helpful, & it was a great experience. Despite their newness, everyone was eager to be sure our needs were met.

My husband and I had a great visit to Montreal and can not wait to go back. Beautiful city. We walked all around the city and to Mount Royal from hotel a little bit of a hike but well worth it. We also took a day trip to Quebec City which was great also.

One the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. The rooms were exceptional--in aesthetics, comfort, view, and features. My room did not feel like a hotel room, but rather a luxury downtown apartment. The fitness center, pool, spa, and the outdoor sea-salt jaccuzi located on the 12th floor were additional bonuses! From the moment I walked into the lobby and throughout my stay, the service was friendly and attentive. I truly felt like a welcomed guest. One example is the exceptional service that I received when I ordered late hour room service. The manager went out of his way to create a delicious meal when some of the items on the menu were no longer available. If I were to ever travel to Montreal, I would definitely stay at the Hotel Le Crystal.

Excellent, courteous, friendly service, plush suites. I definitely would return. Great location - in the center of downtown.

This is a lovely hotel, with a friendly staff, that is stilll under construction! The pool, fitness center and spa are not open despite the listing on online travel website and construction begins early every morning (with vibrations and banging throughout the hotel). The pleasant staff is not at fault, but they are also able to do nothing to improve the situation. Wait until all work has been completed before staying here.

This is a gorgeous hotel for sure. It is not a five star though. We found mens underwear and a sock tucked behind a pillow on a chair in the living room, for example. The rooms are gorgeous, so is the view and location is great. Staff is friendly, but like any other country outside the US, service is just not the same. Rooms service was good, but again, not five star. Keep in mind, however, you are not paying five star rates, so it's still very worth it and a great value. The hotel has just been mis-ranked. Though maybe that is five-start in canandialand!

I normally never write reviews. But I had to for this place. The rooms and service was excellent. This place is 1st class for a short trip stay.

I was at a business convention. The hotel is brand new which makes the rooms very large and lovely. The bathroom was very nice albeit the shower stall was a little small for the size of the room. Loved the soaking tub and molton brown toiletries. The bed was very firm and so were the pillows. Not quite a 'heavenly bed' which I prefer. It was nice to have a kitchenette and free wifi. Nespresso machine was a nice touch but I like a good mug of coffee in the morning. Hotel staff was friendly and the concierge helpful in a stuffy way. We did ask for a nightly room refresh one eve and never got it. That was bad. Overall, a lovely place to stay. Restaurant was adequate and the locale is close to the metro and some nice shopping and restaurants.

We spent five nights in condo-like room, half block from top flight Europea restaurant. Subway 2 blocks away, cabs available all the time. Bell Center 2 blocks away. Go Avalanche. Restaurant in hotel served fresh food, superbly prepared. . Concierge was well informed and experienced helping us with museums, restaurants and general sightseeing. Our room had a balcony for smoking and view of skyline., most rooms do not. Non smoking inside. If in Montreal we would return to this wonderful hotel. We did not use room service or pool.

Like I said in the title, the hotel is nice but no 5 star. Let me give you some examples. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge (all suites I believe) and new with the latest offerings such as nice faucets in the bathroom and plasma tv's. The rooms have some amenitities that really cater to a family with an infant or small child, such as some dishes, dishwash liquid, a microwave, and a fridge that allows you to put in some of your own items (instead the garden variety fridge that is full of the hotels own offerings on sensors that cannot be moved about without you getting charged.) Saying all this, however, there were some non 5 star characteristics about the hotel. The staff sometimes forgot to empty out one of the wastebaskets. They forgot to restock some of the things in the bathroom (such as bath salts) more than once. The room service menu is limited as far as dinner items are concerned. And the food was a little bland. I know these are minor details, but it adds up to the experience being a little less than perfect.

The hotel's rooms are great! Very spacious, and clean. I loved the Nespresso coffee machine in the room. The restaurant in the hotel is also great. It is easily accessable to the subway, which is nice because Montreal's attractions are spreadout. It is also located downtown so you can walk to great restaurants and shopping.
