worst experience ever....please don't ever go there

First time in Montreal, good location. Great views of the city from the roof-top pool.

The fact that there was a refrigerator in the room. The exercise room was very poor and theTV in the room was very too small. This hotel is getting old. TheTV in the room was the smallest one I've ever seen, and the exercise room was very bad. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to one of my friend if the price stay the same. It's alright if you travel for business.

Older hotel but clean and room was good sized.

This was our third or fourth stay here as we have student at McGill--just across the street. Location is wonderful and room was comfortable and very good value for the money. Lots of space and nice little kitchenette. Staff was fine. We didn't use exercise room or eat in, so cannot comment on that. Parking is available and fine, but extra charge (as it is most everywhere in city).

This hotel was very comfortable and located right in the heart of Montreal.

The hotel was lovely, with a nice big king bed and a view of the city skyline. The room decorations were pretty standard, but not tacky. I never saw the pool because it was outside and it was too cold to go out. A big plus was that there was a fridge in the room, a big minus was the cost of internet (more than $10/day). I wish Orbitz had a way to include that in the room rundown, because otherwise you end up spending a lot more money than you'd anticipated.

It's proximity to everything and the layout of the room. The elevators were too small and the pullout couch was a wreck. Excellent location and perfect room layout for traveling with family.

This was a nice hotel. We stayed for a week. The room was really comfortable with nice beds and a really nice bathroom. We swam in clean pool and enjoyed the good food at their restaurant. We went on a scenic boat ride which was scheduled by the friendly staff and the hotel. All and all really nice!

Good Location but if you are interested in Old Montreal, you'd better take Metro. It is quite a bit of walking, especially if you are with small kids/toddlers. Very close to McGill Univ.

The staff at this hotel is discourteous and petty. I've stayed at many hotels around the world, and this is the worst staff I have ever encountered. I would never stay at this place again. The rooms are just ok.

This Hotel , is in a great location, the main strip of clubs and nite life is one block away, so no need to take the car out to have a good time ! The pool is on the roof so if you like to tan , its the place to be .

Were very helpful in assisting us bring our bags up to our room. The bathroom tap was broken and dripping the whole time we were there (4 days). The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was in a perfect location. It would not be a five-star hotel in any stretch of the imagination, only so far as being located in an excellent area. The room was bright and clean. The bathroom was small and outdated. My two friends who had the next room endured noise that was so transparent in their room that it kept them up. What I enjoyed best was that the bed was very comfortable. The door had locks that are a potential fire hazard. They still use keys, which are antiquated and easy for someone to duplicate if lost.

Kitchen facilities in the room. Extra charges for internet, extra persons etc.

The hotel is in downtown Montreal, across the street from McGill University, right around the corner from a Metro station (Peel), and just a block or two away from a wide variety of dining possibilities. Our room was comfortable and clean, had a small kitchen, but was otherwise unremarkable. That's okay as there is so much to do and see in Montreal we hardly spent any time in the room. My son (14 at the time) loved the pool. My only real complaint is that the night manager is a little surly. C'est la vie.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during the Montreal Jazz Festival. For the price we felt we got a great deal. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, although there was a slightly funny smell. The decor was a little outdated but I didn't really care about that. Had a small kitchenette with a fridge, sink, and 2 burners; although we didn't need to use it I could see that being very useful for a longer stay or for families with small children. Speaking of small children, we were right next door to a family w. 2 of them, and although you could hear them yelling and screaming each time we walked by their door, we never heard a peep when in our room. The rooftop pool was a big plus - nice lounge chairs and amazing views of the city. The location is very close to downtown shopping and dining. It's a LONG walk to Vieux-Montréal (Old City), but a Metro station is close by. My only complaint: upon checking out, the guy at the front desk helpfully asked if we needed directions back to the US border. He gave us a map with detailed instructions...but somehow failed to mention THE HUGE PARADE THAT WAS BLOCKING OFF ALL THE MAJOR ROUTES OUT OF THE CITY. It took us an hour and a half to make our way out of it. I felt that was extremely irresponsible on their part and in the end turned a really great experience into just a good one. I will probably find a hotel closer to Old City on my next trip, but if you are looking for a good deal downtown, I would recommend Le Cantlie.

The place needs a major renovation. The toilet ran constantly, and we could hear the toilets flush and the water running in adjacent rooms. The elevator was downright scary.
