I was in Dallas on business and only stayed one night. The employees were friendly and the room was extremely clean. I really enjoyed the second shower head which showers your body from an angle. My only issue is that they have a limited parking. Once valet fills up you have to find your own parking. This parking my be by a meter several blocks away or at a city parking lot that you have to pay again everytime you re-enter. PLEASE correct you parking issue Hotel Lawrence.

Close to the Convention Center. It was a dump. This hotel was nasty, rundown and junky. We had to change rooms because the one we first had dripping wet graffiti on the walls.

The selection of this hotel was based on location and cost. My company asked me to save some money while attending a conference and that was the main reason for picking this hotel. Overall I would say that it was a pleasant experience but it is an old building so the walls are a bit thin and the elevator was out for a while but its clean and pretty well kept. That being said if I would likely stay somewhere else and drive a little while. This is a rough location only a block from the bus station. I enjoyed the Founders Grill more than the hotel it's self.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they made cookies for everyone from 6-8 PM!

The bathroom/room was smaller then most closets. This was a horrible experience. The hotel was not in any way worth the money and no one was willing to take responsibility for the service or room.

I was in Dallas for a business conference and my stay at the Hotel Lawrence became one of the most pleasant adventures of the entire trip. I called back home and told everyone about this little quaint and charming hotel very close to my business conference site which offered free shutte to and from the site. This hotel reminded me of the 4 star hotels in Europe, small, convenient and full of charm.. I loved the comfort of the breakfast room and menu selections. I loved the cold milk and warm cookies set out in the lobby each night. The staff and shuttle drivers were freindly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet. This hotel was perfect for my business travel needs. I felt safe because I was shuttled to and from the nearby places I needed to go for free. This was great since I was traveling alone on this trip. I will definitely stay at the Hotel Lawrence again. I also highly recommend this hotel to the business traveler or to anyone in town for a few days and need a convenient, comfortable and affordable hotel . And..because the travel website arranged my travel plans this trip (for the first time), I will also be using them again. They were outstanding. I was very pleased..more than pleased with every aspect of this trip

Hotel Lawrence was perfectly adequate for the price. It is at a great location if you plan on exploring Downtown Dallas. When we requested towels, the staff brought them to our rooms in 2 minutes. The staff patiently answered all of our numerous questions. The only downside was a leaky bathtub and the parking situation. Either valet park in the hotel's parking garage or bring lots of change. The meters are free after 6PM, but on the weekdays, the metermaids start checking the meters at 7AM (and parking tickets are $35)!

The Bed was so soft and comfortable. Shuttle Van not reliable. I had to change rooms because the air was turned off when you left the room by way of sensor and when I returned it was 83. My next room had the sensor off. The shuttle service is not reliable and when you call for a pickup the staff tells you what you want to hear not what is really going on. e.g. He will be right there when in fact they were not going for another half hour. Pick up waits were over one hour. Shuttle should be on the hour and then you can work around their schedule. After the air issue my room was great. The restaurant in the hotel was simply wonderful. I would go back but I will make other arrangements for shuttles. I ending up taking taxis whose costs were not budgeted originally.

The hotel was pretty nice. There is no parking available within a reasonable distance...spend the extra money to valet your vehicle; however, remember the valet stops working at 10pm! The guest rooms were nice, small due to the historic nature of the building; however, I would definately stay here again!

Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Utilized free shuttle to my office downtown several times. Good free continental breakfast. Wifi was free but reception in room on 9th floor was weak.

Had a bad situation and they took care of it. Can't think of anything. Pleasant hotel near convention center, west end, arc, 6th floor. Has a 3 mile shuttle that takes you around in area. overall nice place.

The website shows pictures (misleading) of an historic, renovated hotel ... just our kind of place. What they don't show you is that it is very rundown and the staff couldn't even be described as discourteous. One would have to say rude. The shuttle service is completely unreliable. Every time we needed the shuttle, we were told that it would be, "15 to 20 minutes." The shortest wait time that we experienced was 40 minutes, the longest was 60. In fact, we requested the shuttle pick us up in the marketplace before we even finished dinner and we still had to wait another 30 mins. 'til he got there. Here's the rub. He had a girl with him in the van who was obviously upset because we (her words), "...messed up their date." The only thing the manager had to say about it was that we were not the only people staying there. Okay, so we were 2 of the 6 people staying there. It was seriously empty and it didn't take long to figure out why. The rooms are also very small and the air conditioner in either of our rooms didn't work very well, which made things more uncomfortable. The bathrooms were tiny and there was very limited shelving space. Toilets didn't flush well. Also, the drapes were designed not to close, something I'm not too comfortable with. The only good thing I can say is that the breakfast wasn't bad. They had a good selection of pastries, eggs, and fruit not to mention waffles. Also, the connecting restaurant had good food. This is a painfully honest review because I don't want anyone else to be so seriously mislead. We would never stay here again.

This hotel shows its age and makes you feel like you are staying in a hotel with lots of history. updates and a modern decor make it a great place to stay and keeps you from feeling like you are in an eligant hotel without the price tag youd expect

Staff helpful & professional, my service like large hotel. Carpet in hall really needs cleaning. Hotel is older, rooms are small but still acceptable, shower nice. Staff very helpful, many restaurants and DT area very close.

The room key I was given wouldn't open the door and I had to go back down to the desk with my luggage - twice - the last time I went down they changed my room. The rooms were small but clean. The low point was the bathtub/shower - it wouldnt drain properly and the force of the shower head was way too hard to the point of being uncomfortable. The upside is it's within walking distance of Market Street area.

The rooms were nice, modern but small. A very quaint and historic hotel with friendly employees. Good Location. Only negative is lack of parking, but overall I was pleased.

The hotel was not what I expected. Although front desk was friendly and their courtesy van was great, the room was below expectation. It was not only small, but the carpet is old and the bathtub did not drain well, although I repeatedly requested service on the days I stayed there. It only seemed to get worse and the bathtub didn't look well cleaned, considering it drained very slowly. Only one elevator for guest use for more than six floors is also a problem. Overall, I would not stay there again.

Hotel seemed underutilized. Few guests. Neighborhood iffy. Valet parking many blocks away and expensive. On street parking recommended only near street lights. Television sets easily heard as muffled sound through walls. No hot water in shower. On the positive side, the staff were very cordial. And there was a nice continental breakfast. The neighborhood is probably more lively during the week--I stayed on a weekend.

My recent stay at the hotel started off nice but ended very badly. We woke up to find a mouse in our room at 5am. We did manage to trap the roden and take it down to the hotel staff. Instead of making a scene, we thought the hotel management would quietly smooth over our stay. We were wrong, they did not even acknowledge the event. We decided to move to another hotel. The moral of the story: the squeaky wheel get the oil.

don't drive...no parking. rooms are very small and the hotel shows its age.
