Location Description:

Located in one of the two ends of West Bay Beach. Oceanfront property with a private and secluded location, only minutes from the crowd of the beach.

Dining:

Caribbean food with an Italian twist. You're at Piero's, Roatan's newest water front restaurant. And You're in the hands of Chef Piero who will present you with his exciting new renditions of lobster, conch, shrimp and fish entrees. Such specialities as lobster in mustard sauce, shrimp in pestro, grouper in white wine. Plus fresh home made pasta and unique sauces with island ingredients from land and sea. And if you'd like something not on the menu, simply say so. Just tell Chef Piero what you'd like and he'll invent something to meet your request.

A nice tucked away resort for singles or couples. A nice sized fresh water pool would have been nice instead of the small plunge pool on location. The beds in the rooms were a bit hard and the walls are very thin (lots of "extra curricular" activities to be heard if you know what I mean). A short walk to the white sugar West Bay beach turquoise waters (3 minutes max). Taxi boats to West End are $3 each way and take about 5 minutes to get there for all your shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. Los Rocas on location restuarant has great food and the bar makes great drinks thanks to [...] and [...] (they know how to make some serious kick butt drinks and carry you to your room if needed). Insect repellant is on hand for there are tiny little small biting flies (all over the island and not just Los Rocas) that tend to be a bit of a nuisance early evening till sunset. Speaking of sunsets, have your camera ready. All in all my wife and I are planning to return in the fall if we don't get slammed by another hurricane (Ike 2008/Galveston).

[...] is Very Helpful. My reservations (my fault) were incorrect and he and Orbitz made it happen. Las Rocas is beautiful. On the border of the Wildlife Preserve, excellent sunsets and diving (didn't dive), best bartender bar none in the West End ([...]) and next to an excellent restaurant "Bite on the Beach" (ask for [...], watch the eels & baracudas under the deck light at night) Las Rocas delivers excellent value, location and amenities.

The Las Rocas hotel was a very clean hotel .The rooms were a nice size.The only downfall was if you are in the double rooms you can feel all the movements the other people make in the other room.The location of the hotel was great.The bugs on the island were the worst I have ever experienced.We found this country to be very safe and very friendly.

Las Rocas Resort and Dive Center was a beautiful, bungalow type resort in a great location. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The breakfast was a great way to meet people in the a.m. sitting on the deck over looking the ocean. Food was good too. I loved the hammock on my porch. My only dissapointment was the bed was pretty hard. I would stay there again.
