This is hardly a 3 stars hotel, all drinks, beer and even the water was altered. Food was good. Rooms are not up dated, they look old and so the whole hotel facility. I was told that all rooms had ocean view and are not. Hotel design looks kind of old.

Rooms are big, plain. Our room was a little tired, but clean, and had a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Staff was very helpful. Flora around the grounds was beautiful.

The room had a balcony. Certain restaurants, bars close at certain hours. The resort hotel is located on large tropical ground contain spectacular views of the bays. Transportation via gas golf carts is provided from the lobby, the beach / pool areas. The pool and beach areas can get crowded if you don't get an early start, and the pool can seem more of a party scene but it remains a tranquil place with enough space to find the rest you crave.

We stayed at the Las Brisas for eight nights, March 15-22. This trip was the best we have experienced in Mexico and this was our 9th. We stayed in the Mer section of the hotel and had a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. There are four buildings in the Mer section, each 3 floors. I would recommend the Bering, Caribe, and Mediterrean bldgs as they all face the ocean or bay. The Pacifico bldg is ok with ocean views but not directly on the water. Rooms in the three other sections (Nubes, Estrella, and Madre) don't have balconies. Included with the room in the Mer section (Las Brisas Beach Club) was a continental breakfast and a cocktail hour at 6 pm. If we ate our dinner at 2-3 in the afternoon we didn't need to eat later as the cocktail hour included a variety of hors deurves. We would take a taxi (40-50 pesos with tip) into Santa Cruz and eat at one of the palapa restaurants or go into Las Crucecita to eat there. The food was excellent at both places especially the seafood. Because these areas are easily accessed you may not want all inclusive at the hotel. We did not eat lunch/dinner at the hotel but service at the hotel was excellent and efficient. The gals who hosted the cocktail hour and breakfast were warm and friendly. Rooms were clean and bathrooms nice.Beds a little hard. There are many steps to walk the beautiful grounds of the hotel but there are shuttles you can access from your room. The tbeaches are.very nice. In my opinion the Brisas is the best placed hotel on the bay as you can find sunshine or shade at the beaches. The views are photo perfect. You can't go wrong here!

The whole staff, from check-in to check-out was super friendly, rooms are a little far from the lobby, a little cart (golf) has to pick you up from your room so give yourself extra minutes, everything is very clean, the fitness center needs updating but if you really need to work out, that will do it. It takes about 10 minutes to get downtown.

the room was not confortable, we had a rainy weekend and the water was on the floor inside the room. when we consult in the web , the page was show several restorant, and they told us that we have the chance to choose the menu, and only was a restorant with buffet. we expected the value for the money. bahias de huatulco is nice place, the view is excelent, the hotel has 3 beaches, and the amenites like the pool or tenis court are ok, but the fitness center is upkeep the hotel need to give more attencion in the maintenace

it was a bad hotel. there were ants in the room and in the sand. the rooms are very out dated and old. I did not receive the room that was on the pictures at the on line travel website. Everything was over priced and food was not traditional. Also, there were no elevators and the stairs were a killer.

Enjoyed our stay.Las Brisas-grounds were pretty-staff needs to ensure things like cigerette buds aren't left everywhere. Food was okay-Beaches were fantastic and could snorkel free! Also the kayaking was great and was part of the all inclusive package. Our room was in the Mars building and overlooked the ocean. We saw whales swimming the first morning. The nearby towns and food were GREAT! Although the rooms and hotel needs updating and some cleaning it was the best trip my husband and I have ever taken. We will go back to Hautulco.

Amazing Hotel in amazing place, Huatulco? A lot of thinks to do in the Hotel (also try the tours) Room we choose had plenty of space and really nice view, I got excellent pictures of sunsets, You can enjoy the beach, pools and hotel surroundings, if you have kids take it to the Hotel Kids club, Pros: Grand Tourism Hotel, near downtown, excellent rooms, huge bathroom, Cons: Too big to walk, you may be boring of the use of trolleys and so much stairs

The bed was so hard it was impossible to sleep. They changed us to another room which was the same. AC barely worked despite their promise "it was fixed." People reserve beach chairs the night before by leaving towels etc. on them, which leave no chairs for the morning. We heard many horror stories of "no toilets for days, sinks which didn't work, etc." We ordered the same thing from room service for breakfast every day for 10 days and never received the same thing or the right things. Huatulco is great, but skip this resort.

We had a lovely time once we changed our room to one that did not overlook the central air conditioning which was noisy. The room we had with a view of the ocean was remarkable and spacious and clean. Wonderful location, the staff really made everything better - friendly , timely, so that lots of little things could be overlooked - hot water not as often as one would like, some overly loud activities during the day that disrupted the beauty and peacefulness of the bay - because the staff tried so hard to be helpful and pleasant. Got off the plantation into La Crucecita to walk and visit so the combination of place, people and choices was really great for a 4 day visit.

We booked this hotel as a pre-destination to our cruise and had all kinds of trouble with Travel agency with the reservation. The hotel didn't have us on the books but were able to accommodate us. We were charged twice and "hoping" for a follow through on their 100% satisfaction guarantee. It's been a mess to get corrected and have really regretted the decision to use them. As for the hotel, it was a beautiful resort. The food was good. The service was great. Very little of the staff spoke fluent English. The rooms were clean, and Mediterranean-ish in style. Beds were not that comfortable. The resort is very spread out and it's almost a must to wait for the "shuttle" staff to make a round to pick you up for dinner, breakfast, etc. The pools were very overcrowded surprisingly with A LOT of kids. Location is gorgeous and would definitely visit again.

Las Brisas Huatulco proved to be a hotel with plenty of local flavor! The hotel sits on a hill and has access to three private beaches. Wow! We had a king size room and it was extremely confortable. The bathroom was large, but, it didnt seem to have air conditioning vents. Since this hotel sits on a hill and lacks elevators, all the ammenities were reachable by means of golf carts (staff operated) or by walking through small hills (plenty of stairs). The all inclusive option was an excellent choice and the food variety was plenty. Explore Huatulco by booking your local tours in the hotel's travel agency. You wont regret it!

Huatulco is wonderful place to visit and spend leisurely time in. I highly recommend the area no matter where you stay. It is friendly, clean, good economy, beautiful, and fun. The Brisas Huatulco is a large complex but wasnt crowed at all. Beaches are clean and no problem getting a sun lounge, sailing and kayaking were free. Once you discover the open air Mexican restaurant for breakfast, the grill for lunch and a choice for dinner both at the hotel or in town; how can you complain. We were on an all inclusive and I think that might be the best way to vacation there. Our room was a Beach Club Suite in Villa Mar and was absolutely fantastic with a view to die for. It also included a 5 oclock happy hour at the beach club room which was a great place to meet people or enjoy appetizers and drinks. The staff were polite and friendly and werent expecting tips for every little thing. The grounds are well kept and beautiful with an abundance of flowers and birds. Being 50 acres there was always a place to stroll to and be alone. I dont think if you didnt enjoy walking you could appreciate this resort as much as perhaps some others. We met a person with one leg, who came on a last minute deal, and he had some complaints. But I think he should have read these reviews before booking into a widespread resort. In conclusion, we had no complaints and truly enjoyed our stay. Ken and Maureen

Las Brisas Huatulco has spoiled me for any future all inclusive resorts I may stay at. They made our stay so comfortable. I traveled with my boyfriend who had been to other all inclusive resorts and was very impressed with the service and attention we received from Las Brisas. The hotel was set in a beautiful lush jungle location. At first I was worried because our oceanview room was so far from the activities and the pool, etc. But Las Brisas has a little golf cart bus system through out the property. You can call the front desk and let them know where to pick you up from and where you are going. It made things so easy to get around the large property. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was always clean, even in the public areas of the resort. The buffet that came with the package was more than I expected so we hardly spent any money because everything we needed was provided to us. This was truly one of the best vacations ever and we can't wait to go back!

We just returned from the Las Brisas Huatulco resort. The resorts were not crowded in Huatulco. We stayed in a Mar suite with a balcony (included a continental breakfast and 6PM drinks with appetizers). Request the Bering Bldg. (faces the Pacific; quiet).

"Having travelled Mexico on a yearly basis, this Hotel is below standard. our delux room had paint chipped furniture with a dribble for a shower. We upgraded to a suit. Pool and bar area dirty. Beach never raked. Water from taps not safe to drink. This hotel is being rated 4 1/2 stars by Canadian travel agencies. It's a 3 star. Management needs to travel and see other hotels regarding cleaniness and accommodations. As usual the Mexican people are great. We felt our 2 week stay was a rip-off."

The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. The rooms are very clean but quite spartan - they could use a splash of color. Good service overall. Not much English spoken. Overall it still looks too much like a Club Med.

"The hotel even a little old seems they do lots of daily maintanance, this hotel for a rating of 3 stars is excelent. The service makes you feel very comfortable, beautiful views."
