The Larnach Castle Lodge is situated in a quiet location, offering guests easy access to the sights in the city while remaining near the famous castle. There is a variety of sights to be seen in the local area, including the Royal Albatross Yellow-eyed penguin colony. The center of the city is located within a twenty minute drive. Guests can also take part in a tour of the castle as well as walk through the gardens. Reaching the Larnach Castle Lodge is simple due to its convenient and well known location.

What are your breakfast options?: Breakfast is available between 7:30am - 9:30am and is included in your room rate. The Castle Café is open daily from 9:30am - 4:30pm.

We have a three-course table d'hote menu served house party style at one sitting - a chance to meet the other guests. The dinner is prepared especially for our guests, so must be booked, reconfirmed and ordered from our menu by 5:00pm on the day.
What transport is available to get around?: We always recommend renting a car during their stay, as there is so much to see on the Peninsula, and having your own car is extremely convenient. The other alternative is to use taxis, but they get expensive, as the Castle is a reasonable drive from anywhere.
What can I do nearby?: There is much to see and do on the Otago Peninsula - the wildlife capital of New Zealand. During your stay, you can visit the Royal Albatross, Yellow-eyed penguins, Wildlife Cruises. In Dunedin there is a scenic train trip and unique historic houses.
Do you have internet?: A computer is available for guests to gain access to the internet. Or they can use the Wifi available. We have tickets available for 20 mB of data, the first ticket is free, after that it is $1 per ticket.
Do you provide parking?: We have plenty of free parking for guests and visitors to the Castle.
