Hotel was OK nothing special but would stay again in ever in Norwich, carpets in room looked like they had been there for an awful long time and certainly could od with a bloody good cleaning A Lot Of Shake & Vac Required

Not quite what we were expectingThe hotel seems a little run down, though nothing too specific I can put a finger on. Car park needs a general tidy up. Room OK but bathroom could have been cleaner. We missed the comment about the restaurant not being open for hot meals, but were able to walk to the new riverside leisure development where there is a good choice - would not have been as convenient if the weather had been bad. Breakfast is extra and seems overpriced.

Travel in NorfolkEasily found from the train station, but some distance from centre of town.

Stay in NorwichThe hotel is walking distance from the city centre. There is ample off street parking for those who are driving, with good access in & out of town. The rooms are adequate. This hotel classes itself as a "metro hotel", so does a breakfast, but no other meals. There are plenty of eating houses with-in easy walking distance. Recommended.

Fantastic staff disappointing accomodationThe staff were excellent friendly and really helpful - but the room left a lot to be desired, the stench of sweaty feet was awful which lingered during my entire stay and permeated the whole room even after opening the window! - the carpet really needed a good steam clean, and the room could do with a lick of paint to cover the marks and stains The creaking floorboards from the room above was dreadfully noisy too.

The room was very tired and in need of refurbishment.

Wonderful peopleI spent two nights at the hotel which is quite close to Norwich station. My room was comfortable but perhaps in need of a little redecoration. I did not have breakfast but the sandwich and pots of tea I consumed were good and reasonably priced. The staff were wonderful - they could not have been more helpful. I will certainly stay again.

Throwback to the 70's!The entrance and bar area looked of reasonable standard, however, the corridors and the room we were in was decidedly in need of re-decoration. The wallpaper was coming away from the walls, paint chipped, the carpet was stained and the mirrors not cleaned. There were chipped tiles in the bathroom and grotty grouting in the shower area. The photo in the ad bore no resemblance whatsoever to this room. As for the \"white bath towels\" well I suppose if you were a small child they would have constituted a \"bath\" towel. The pluses were bed linen was clean, and the reception staff helpful.

NorwichI booked this hotel for an overnight stay, as my daughter and I were visiting the city. I wanted two single rooms at a reasonable price and this place fitted the bill. The rooms were small, but clean. Decor was a little bit dated, but we weren't there to sit in the room so it didn't really matter. The staff were friendly and helpful - we didn't eat there so can't comment on the food.In summary, for a cheap, clean bed for the night, near to the city centre (and the football ground if you're that way inclined) then this was ideal.

There's good and not so good.I always feel a trifle odd about staying in an hotel that has no restaurant; it's like getting to heaven and finding you have no soul. There's no occasion to judge the real qualities of the place, just an anonymous room in a faceless building; no interaction with staff and no point of real contact. The room was small, a little dingy in places with a very dark bathroom, the lift is straight out of a Roald Dahl short story, the corridors are narrow and the carpet worn. One gets the impression they're waiting for something to happen before they get down to the real business of running an hotel. It's a shame because the location is excellent, five minutes walk from the station and fifteen from the town centre and a restaurant ought to do very well.
