Excellent qualityWe were very impressed with the hotel and restaurant, although the food in the restaurant was a little salty and although delicious also generous with the calories. The views from room and restaurant were amazing.The room was great and service was friendly, the discount made the room affordable. Although we couldn't afford the price of a round of golf at the attached course especially when there were cheaper courses nearby.

Excellent locationenjoyed my stay here but a pity that i don't play golf. The view across the golf course is excellent and the hotel is better than average. Good food with choice of either 'bar meals' of 'bistro' . The staff all seemed very friendly and helpful, nice service with a smile.

Lanhydrock hotel guest review 14/7/09A golfers paradise, but also pleasant atmosphere for couples etc, stunning grounds, clean modern rooms and very quiet in the night. All staff I met were friendly and helpful, and the food (I had local seafood) was equal to any other fine hotel/restaurant I have dined in, but was not OTT expensive. A nice change from the busy seaside type hotels, plenty of parking.

Beautiful surroundings. Very new, very clean, very smart. Unfortunately, we were given the wrong type of room; however, when this was brought to the notice of the management, profuse apologies were offered, and an appropriate adjustment made to the cost.Breakfast was good, although the hot food was really only warm. Good choice, though.

This was quite a surprise, we were not sure what to expect this being a hotel/conference centre attached to a golf club. However, it turned out to be very acceptable, modern, well run & with excellent, helpful staff. We were made very welcome even though we were not on a golfing break

Unobtrusivess & PleasentStayed for 3 nights with my wife. Reception area and rooms were very clean - its fairly new (we stayed in Jul 09) and contemporary, bathrroms are modern.Breakfast was included in our package - it was fine, - got a little boring on the 3rd day - a little more variety would be goodStaff were unobtrusive - but helpful polite and attentive when appropriate

Wonderful ViewsAll double rooms have wonderful views of the golf course. Request a ground floor room, as these have small patio areas. Suzanne (the receptionist) moved us downstairs with no problem at all - she was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was very good - I had the haddock and poached eggs every day (enough to feed two people), but didn't get chance to sample dinner.The hotel provided an excellent base, just outside Bodmin, enabling us to travel easily to both coasts.

The ideal retreat.Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club is spacious and has every facility to enhance your stay. The rooms are contemporary and spotlessly clean. Staff were attentive and polite. The views from the room, bar and restaurant over the golf course were splendid even when the day began a little misty.

Lovely room in lovely locationThe location of the hotel was great and we had lovely views over the golf course from our room. Really liked the terrace outside the room with a table and chairs so we could sit outside all evening in the sunshine. We ate at the bar and the food was really good and not expensive (the restaurant would have been a lot more expensive I'm sure) Breakfast was also very good. The room was very comfortable and spacious with good facilities. My only complaint was the bar of soap on the bath which had been used and not replaced with a fresh one. We got a really good deal on a luxury room with late rooms!

Pleasant stayRoom clean and nicely laid out, although the hairdryer was wired via a drawer under the tv, making it difficult to use in front of a mirror.Bed was VERY firm, which did not suit us personally.

Wedding Anniversary TripWe spent two nights at the Lanhydrock Hotel, we found the hotel very clean, comfortable and the staff team friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our car battery and the staff were very helpful in locating a local garage for us. Our room was lovely with patio doors and a small patio overlooking the 18th hole and the course, we ate in the bar the first night and the restaurant on the second night, breakfast was localy sourced and very tasty! We shall be returning soon

Either the 3rd or 4th time i have stayed here and i think that says it all. For the same price as a Premier in you get to stay in a lovley hotel with great veiws and quiet nights. Food is good rooms are clean. will go back again.

Very enjoyable stayWe had a very pleasant 2 nights at this hotel. The service was superb, the room (an executive double overlooking the 18th hole) was spacious, comfortable, well presented and very clean. Given the price (we paid £99 and £89 for a Fri and Sat night booked thru Laterooms), we thought this to be very good value for money. The only downside was no mini-fridge in the bedrooms, to store milk for our 16 month old (and the odd drink for his parents!) but the bar staff were very obliging in providing us a complementary jug of milk for his night time bottle. Plentiful and varied cooked breakfast. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place and would stay here again.
