Stayed only one night, saturday. Room basic but comfortable. Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. Couldn't fault the service, staff very polite. Overall an enjoyable stay and will stay again when next in area

Costa GeriatricaWe booked a twin room for my partner and I - because there were no doubles, and then we booked a single room for my Aunt. We arrived at the Langham Hotel to find out that they had only booked in the single room - and due to the numerous coaches of old age pensioners in town and at the hotel - there were no twin or double rooms available! They gave us each a single room - which were fairly dire and depressing - however a couple of hours later they told us we could move into a twin room which was much nicer with a sea view. The receptionist was very patient and polite and we were grateful that she sorted out the issue. They provided parking about a block and half away for £6 per night - in the army base. There was a man playing keyboard in the Langhams bar until midnight (Show me the way to Amarillo is still stuck in my head because the sound travelled right up into the rest of the hotel!)All in all - I would never return to Eastbourne though - bit depressing and boring - and the hotel was a bit too full of OAPs!

DissapointedWe were dissapointed with this hotel, the room was really not worth what we paid, extra money required to park the car, mattress had springs poking through.

A liitle DatedGreat Reception area and Restaurant. However the rooms were small and dated. I paid £65 which included breakfast (Not Bad). If the rooms were modernised this could be a great hotel.

Perfect Hotel to see EastbourneRecently said at the Langham whilst visiting friends, the hotel is right on the seafront, really easy to find and easier to park on side streets than other hotels closer to the town centre. It is a 5 walk to the pier and a 10 min walk to the town centre. The Rooms are clean and modern, food is good standard but a little disppointed the breakfast isn't a help yourself service you order and are served which is nice but you dont always get a lot, although we were offered more if we wanted. Would recommend it to everyone I know and would go back next time I am staying in the area.

Hotel staff were very very good and it seems a shame that they gave us what appeared to be the last room in the place. The room was small but comfortable, the door looked like it had been broken the week previously and recently fixed. Headboard had someones hair all over it! Shower flooded the bathroom floor and seemed unstopable. No view of anything hospitable, unless pidgeons count

Not An Experience I Wish To RepeatThis is not a hotel that I would wish to stay at again. Even though, we got the room at a reduced price, I did not feel it was value for money. If I had paid the full price, I would have been very disappointed indeed. The exterior of the hotel gave the impression that the interior would be modern, fresh and comfortable. In fact, the interior was rather tired and shabby-looking with very small, claustrophobic rooms. We had to have our room changed as the first one we were offered resembled a cupboard with the tiniest en-suite shower room I have ever come across. However, the staff were friendly, polite and helpful - working to the best of their ability with the facilities available.

Birthday treatWe booked the room for £65 through late rooms. When i phoned and requested a sea view room i was told these were obviously more expensive, so i paid an extra £15 and boy what a room we got. Sea front, superb view, balcony and as it was my wife's birthday treat we also got a four poster bed!We were so impressed with the bar snack we got when we arrived we booked for dinner as well. Food again superb, eating with a great sea view (in the conservortory) wonderful service and in just the right place.A must if you fancy a relaxing break with that extra bit of quality, its nearly 300 miles from our home but we're thinking of going back again soon it was so good

Whilst staff on arrival were attentive and responsive, we found our room to be extremely basic and unattractive, although it was clean. They took payment on arrival. It might be wise to find out what the room looks like before confirming your stay if this is where you really want to book. Whilst the room was discounted (£99 reduced to £65) as it was a last minute booking, I think you could find better elsewhere for £65. No sea view, instead overlooking scaffolding, paper thin walls, crammed space, and bathroom wise, more of a light sprinkle than a shower. Pillows were completely inadequate - one pillow each about one inch thick. We were camping the following day and wished we'd brought our own pillows up from the car. Breakfast service was abysmal (we had to call for someone to tell them that we were ready to order after no attention for some time). At one point, after trying and failing to get a member of staff's attention, we even had to walk into their kitchen to ask for our toast as the rest of our breakfast was going cold. Normal departure time is 10.30 but we'd spoken to staff the night before who said our requested departure time of 11 should be fine. We were called at 10.40 to ask when we were leaving. At check out, there was no \"did you/hope you enjoyed your stay\". I think they knew the answer.

Our Stay at the LanghamThe staff were extremely polite and efficient and the room allocated to us was beautifully light and airy. The two dinners we had in the restaurant were of gourmet standard (both for me as a vegetarian and my partner who is not) and I cannot speak highly enough of the service we had in the restaurant. Breakfast was also excellent again, with an excellent choice for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I would highly recommend this hotel for either business or pleasure.

Great from the outside but rooms desperatley need updatingGood location on the front and from the outside it looks really nice and worthy of a 3 star but inside it all looks so tired and our room was really rank, especially the en-suite that didn't look like it had been cleaned properly and hadn't had anything done to it over 20 years. We didn't eat diinner but had a full english for breakfast which was average but it was a cheap deal through laterooms.

Our daughter, from Tunbridge Wells has always said that she would love to stay at this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Langham Hotel and will advise anyone, back home in Australia, to come here if they are travelling to the UK.Thank you to all the staff for our help and assistance.Gregory & Judith Rowe, St Helens, Tasmania, Australia

Value for MoneyWe stayed two nights and found the Hotel to be just right for us. - Quiet room, even though it was at the rear and fairly close to kitchen area. The food was very good and the Lounge / Bar very quiet with no TV just low background musicHad a very relaxing stay

Good value from LateRooms.comA very pleasant hotel with good service, but did not think room would be value for money at original price. Bathroom very cramped badly laid out and no extractor fan, but very clean and would certainly visit again.
