The hotel and staff were great! Our room was very nice, with all the extras. The staff went out of their way to make our stay exceptional! But I have to say that one episode put a damper on our opinion of the hotel. We accidently dropped a souvenir mug on the glass-topped end table and broke the side of the glass. We reported the incident to the front desk immediately, and then again the next morning. We wanted to make sure the staff was aware we weren't trying to shirk our responsibility for the break. We were charged $80 for the glass top. I feel the charge should have been absorbed by the hotel, since we had paid for our stay.

The experience was less than satisfying: 1- too few employees at front desk/concierge during peak times (i.e., Friday night) 2- front desk staff with no customer focus (I asked for a room away from the elevators for quiet, and the front desk person gave me a room next to the ice machine) 3- a bathroom that wasn't entirely clean (there was someone else's orange medicine pill on the floor in front of the sink when I checked in - what else wasn't clean?) 4- afternoon tea service that was adequate at best due to skimpy portions, purchased pastries versus homemade, and inadequate menu flexibility - they really should check out 5- overpriced breakfast buffet.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel 7/2/07 to 7/5/07. The hotel is located within walking distance to many attractions. The rooms and the hotel are beautifully furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a lovely pool and health facility. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay at this hotel again.

My wife and I decided we needed an anniversry getaway. We live in the western suburbs of Boston. This was our first time staying at the Langham although I had eaten there once before. There was absolutely nothing difficult about our visit at the Langham. We got there four hours early and we really didn't expect to do more than drop off our bags. Our room was already ready for us. I checked in and then we ran off to have fun. Our bags were up in our room before we were. Staff was bend-over-backwards helpful to us. Room was way comfortable. The jazz brunch the next morning at Cafe Fleuri (in the hotel) was fantastic, and pretty pricy to boot. I think I remember that brunch was listed at $55 per person, but for us it was $85. That might have been because it was Mother's Day. If you take advantage of all the amenities, you can easily spend hundreds of dollars without leaving the hotel. My only complaint would be the location of our room. We were on the fifth floor facing inward to where a courtyard would be. In this case, fifth-floor "inner" rooms are lined up with the roof over the pool, plus all the air conditionning equipment. Not a very attractive view out the window.

As a runner of the Marathon, the Langham was a great location from the Buses to the start, the finish and to the airport. They even had powerbars and water before and after the race in the lobby!

Your hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Qunicy Market or the Commons. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were excellent and the food (Sunday brunch) was well worth the price. We will stay here again when we return to Boston.

We have traveled all over world - service was top notch. Great location for shopping, sightseeing, food, subway. Concierge very helpful, knowledgeable. Rooms very clean - accidentally left Privacy on door and still made room at 8pm.

I loved the Langham. The staff was always accommodating and the room extremely comfortable. The water pressure in the bathroom was a little off with hot and cold water not being an easy switch, but overall I found my stay at The Langham particularly comfortable and pleasant.

Great idea...convert the original Federal Reserve Building into a hotel. Talk about getting your money's worth. Elegant surroundings...room right size for two people. For the eco-friendly their option of reusing towels and linens was ideal. Convenient location in the Financial District...while on the Freedom Walk, recommend stopping at Faneuil Hall Mkt. Place.

"This hotel was in a great location to get to all Boston has to offer. Room was beautiful, turn down service very nice, bellman/concierge incredibly friendly. Front desk staff weren't very helpful or nice. Paying for internet access after what we paid for a week's stay was ridiculous. Jazz buffet wasn't worth the money (we were seated in a room where we couldn't even hear the music). Very lovely bar."

Our family stayed at the Langham this past Labor Day weekend. This was our first visit to Boston so we really did not know much about where and what to do. The hotel was wonderful from the doorman to the housekeeping staff. All requests were met with a smile and accomplished in a very timely manner. I absolutly and positivly reccomend this hotel for your next stay in Boston.

"My husband and I chose the Langham for our honeymoon. Great location!! Walk 10 min to Boston Commons, Beacon Hill, aquarium, Quincy Market, Old North Church, etc. Our room was completely spotless everyday!! The concierge desk went above and beyond to help us and answer any questions we had. The only bad aspect of this hotel is the phone charge. Bring your cell phone b/c ONE 5 min phone call from your room is VERY EXPENSIVE!!!! If you've never been to Boston you really should stay here...my experience was unbelievable!"
