We were calling the place Faulty Towers after a short visit...for $300 a night we had no remote for the tv, no closet, clock, tissue or control of the a/c. (The a/c vent dropped out in the middle of the night!!) The railings outside were falling apart, the breakfast was pre-prepared. The owner was very inflexible. Find another place to stay.

We experienced several firsts at the lakeside Illahee Inn. Our host attempted to show prospective guests through our room when we were showering and changing in the morning. We were charged corkage fee for wine we brought and opened in our room. There was a kitchenette in our room but no food is allowed. There was a great private deck overlooking the lake with a patio set on it but we could not have a meal on it. We booked a romantic outdoor dinner lakeside but it was too far too far for the cook to carry the food so we were seated inside by the kitchen instead. There were numerous undisclosed charges on our bill. The Owner believes all this is OK. A very odd view of hospitality.
