Lake View Hotel Mackinac Island

Lake View Hotel, in the heart of the historic village, is located in Main Street, directly across from the street where the ferry boats arrive. It is the oldest continuously operated hotel on Mackinac Island.

The Lake View Hotel is a full service resort featuring 85 guest rooms. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning. The hotel also offers coffee in the lobby, concierge services, and self parking. Onsite bike parking and high speed wireless Internet are complimentary. The hotel has three floors and has an elevator/lift.

Guests will enjoy the covered front porch and amenities such as the indoor heated pool, whirlpool and sauna. Since cars are not permitted on the island, visitors here enjoy a peaceful, relaxing step back in time. The Lake View Hotel captures much of the past with its Victorian-style atmosphere and nineteenth-century vernacular resort architecture, including a modified hipped roof accenting an open, wood-columned porch and a raised basement. Three specialty shops are located on site, including Mackinac Island Bike Shop, Sanders and Mackinac Outfitters. From banquets to business meetings, Lake View Hotel accommodates a variety of social and corporate events, and several grades of guest rooms are available in both Modified American and European plans.

Lake View Hotel features two restaurants: Goodfellow's Italian Chop House and Goodfellow's Wings and Things. Completely re-designed and re-constructed in 2008, Goodfellow's Italian Chop House serves breakfast, lunch and dinner served seven days a week in a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Enjoy a great meal in the Tuscan inspired dining room, or outside on the elevated, covered deck on Main Street. Wings and Things stays open late where you can catch sporting events amidst a sea of big screen TV's. Family friendly by day, adults only at night, The bars at both establishments feature comfortable leather stools surrounding custom bars with richly detailed granite countertops. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.
