Relaxing stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Shopping area down the street for any needed essentials and only 15 min drive from downtown Lake Geneva. Only complaint were sheets were a little scratchy for me.

Have eaten at their Restaurant many times in past years, so when making plans for an overnight stay, I thought "Why not". Well let me tell you: 1. We made reservations for a room with a view. Got a view of a parking lot with dead bugs on window from light below. 2. Could not call front desk with in room phone to complain because it didn't work. (used cell phone) 3. Our room was described as ground level, with patio and included two bathrooms. It was none of these. 4. Room key stopped working before our one night stay was over. 5. Our son could not play at their park. Childs play area is covered in goose feces and located in a low lying very muddy area. 6. Wires were hanging out of the wall. Water stains all over the ceiling along with peeling wall paper. Not to mention dirty carpet unraveling. 7. TV stand was actually broken and ready to collapse. I would have rather stayed at the Overlook Hotel in "The Shining"

A couple of friends and myself were excited to go to a couple of shows for the weekend at the Alpine Music Amplitheater. We were looking to stay somewehere close and cheap but all of the cheaper motels were already booked. The next best thing was Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan. The room was beautiful and was very impressive for the money. Scenery was incredible and our balcony was even better. It was roughly 18 miles from Alpine and was a very easy trip there and back. I would definitly stay there again. It was perfect. Oh, and take advantage of th Jacuzzi in the bathroom.

I booked the hotel through orbitz. The pictures looked nice. When I checked in I was put into the old part(Woodlawn)of the hotel which was dirty and had a strange odor. The screen was torn and let every kind of bug into the room, but the room needed air. The bathroom was horrible! It would of been nice if I was told this upon check in. The next day I upgraded to the new part of the hotel which is really nice. It is well worth the $20 a day.

Overall, the whole trip, in and out of the hotel, was a lot of fun. The staff was really helpful from printing out directions to get to certain locations to getting milk for my baby. I am very satisfied...and the spa...amazing!

This facility is in major need of updating. The hallway carpets are worn, and filthy. Our room was old and musty. The worst part was the bathroom. It had an outside tiny,dated formica sink. The tub/shower unit - yellow plastic had no drain stopper if you wanted to take a bath. The toilet was 6 inches from the tub - and separated from the sink by a wood and opaque glass sliding door . The sliding door handily had two toilet paper holders on it. No hair dryers provided. The staff gave conflicting information about how to get an early arrival. We had problems with the "keys" not working. We were so glad that our stay was only one night. We will not be going back. It's a nice setting, but Lake Lawn needs to level the place and start over.

We had the misfortune to choose this resort for an overnight stay. The staff was notfriendly at check in, our room keys did not work after we entered the room the first time. This necessitated a trip in the pouring rain at midnight for replacements. Our bedspreads were sosoiled we could not use them, and the blankets had foot prints on them. There were no extrasheets to use to cover themwith, as they do in many hotels. The patio door did not lock, so acharlie bar had to be used. This room had clearly not been updated since it was built in the 1960's based on the bathroom fixtures. The carpet in the hall was very dirty. The housekeeping was also not pleasant, and staff unwilling to assist. The property is quite lovelyoutside, with a lakefront view and walk. This clearly is not a place to take families withsmall children do to the poor quality of the rooms. The restaurant and coffee bar werefine. I was quite shocked to hear a radio ad for this resort commenting on 22 million renovations

We had a beautiful lakefront view with a balcony, we were able to hang out and see some ice fishing. The jaccuzzi bathtub was soothing. There was a glass walkway that went throughout the hotel with fire places in some areas,

I made reservations in early July to stay here in mid-August. Was aware of the one-nt charge and the 72-hour cancellation fee. I found a different place to say so I cancelled this reservation 3 days later (still plenty early to avoid any fees) and discovered several weeks later that my credit card was still charged the $* cancellation fee. Considering I made the cancellation much earlier than 72 hrs in advance I'm now in dispute with the resort. Due to this obvious way of collecting money that is inappropriate I would definitely NOT recommend this facility to anyone.

The hotel staff was very accomodating. We questioned some ideas from them about things to do since we were there in December (offseason). They were very helpful. The room was beautiful (we loved the fireplace) and very clean. The hotel is very big and does has both indoor and outdoor pools accomdating any season. The room has a large book that you can browse offering many different things to see and do around the town. We were a little disatisfied at the amount of cable channels they offer for what you pay to have the rooms though. We found a hair in our food at the hotel restaurant (very GROSS!) and their menu's are not very big. They have an extremely limited amount of things to order. We recommend going out to eat as there are many other restaurants to choose from outside the hotel. The closest mall is in nearby neighboring Janesville also. I would recommend someone to go to this hotel but stay away from the restaurant inside the hotel. It was very relaxing and comfortable and sits directly on the lake with an amazing view.

Stayed at Lake Lawn for a wedding. Room was overpriced and dirty - ended up with a sinus infection from the dust and odor in the room. Everything was old - not a pleasant experience. Relatives stayed at a nearby discount hotel and it was 4 stars compared to Lake Lawn.

The section we were in was very old and needed some updating, big time. The toilet did not work the greatest. It was not very clean. No elevator in the section we were in so we had to carry everything up to our room. The golf course look great. But we were not there to golf. It was a room for the night.

"I am 25 and have gone here since I was a kid and it still has a special place in my heart. Lots to do - several pools, good restaurants with nice lake view, walking paths, golf, horseback riding, spa, game room, boating. And it's spread out so you can just roam the many halls and get ice cream, sit and chat, etc. Something for the whole family or romantic for couples."

Our stay was short but sweet. The whole resort is relaxing. There is plenty to do for families. We would return if in the area. The only adverse thing was the matress was too soft.

Our room was extremely comfortable!It included a fireplace which was cozy because temps dropped into the 40's that weekend. The bathroom, jaccuzi tub, and beds were awesome! We didn't get in until late in the evening but our brief stay was very comfortable and we will stay here again in the future!
