I would never recommend this dirty hotel to anyone. I had booked a large suite and found bugs and brown streeks on the walls. We had a really bad experience with the staff also...never again!

Perfect hotel for a family. I have stayed at La Tour many times, and I always go back. The kitchens are convenient and the supermarket is just a couple of blocks away. Chinatown and the Old Port are walking distance. Highly recommended.

This is a complex with apartments that have been transformed for short-term rent. The building was almost empty when stayed there (i only stayed for one night). Nice size one bedroom apartment with all the amenities that a modern average hotel has to offer plus a fantastic view if you are luck enough to get a room at the top (17-storey building). The chinese restaurant downstairs is a bit shabby.

While I requested a nonsmoking room, the one I got reeked horribly of cigarettes. When I went to the front desk to complain, the receptionist assured me that mine was a nonsmoking room. I explained that someone had obviously been smoking (heavily) in the room. ?It?s not our fault, it?s the guests,? he said as if that were the most reasonable thing it the world. Ultimately, he refused to give me a new room. A hotel to avoid.

I had 15 family members stay at La Tour Hotel Centreville July 3-5,2008. 1. Each room provided had faulty water temperatures in the shower. The water went from scolding hot to scolding cold during any shower experienced by each family member among all the rooms 2. In one room, no working toilet was provided. There were insects found in the bed. This room had an open whole in the window where a portable airconditioner was installed upon check-in. Hotel staff was untruthful regarding another available room during the night.When asked what the guest would do without a toilet during the night, the hotel staff responded that he didn't know and that maintenance would be by in the morning to correct the problem. Finally, the next morning of July 4, 2008 another room was provided that had previously not been occupied the night before. 3. In a second room, the air conditioner did not work and upon repeatable requests to hotel staff to repair it, no reponse or remedy was provided. There was no electricity provided in the bedroom during the night of July 3, 2008. 4. In a third room, the stove did not work. Maintenance came and could not fix it. Hotel staff suggested a room change. After accepting the room change, hotel staff completely forgot and no room change took place. 5. In a fourth room,insects were found in the bed 6. When a cot was requested, hotel staff coaxed a guest in our party to come and "take a look at the cot". Upon anarrival the guest was asked to take the cot back to their room. No hotel staff would bring the cot to the room. Hotel management has been un-responsive with our feedback.

The hotel had a greta location, right downtown. But the hotel itself was not very nice. It was clean enough, but the place was old and worn out. The pillows were extremely lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep on. We heard the staff making lot's of noise from 3am until morning.

We did like the hotel because of its staff and their helpfulness and the hotel's location right downtown. But the toaster, Air Conditioning and coffee maker were all broken. Thankfully, the staff brought us a fan or we would have expired. Maryanne Merritt

Was there for the UFC fights with my wife and I wish I would of spent more on a different hotel because the walls are not very sound proof and the rugs in the rooms were stained, the bathroom had hair in the corners of the room, and it had by far the hardest bed I have ever bed on.

Set up more like a studio apartment than a standard hotel room, there was more space than one would expect. A furnished kitchen was a useful feature. The hotel is located so that just about everything is within walking distance. You can park your car indoors, and not use it again until you leave. Although clean and comfortable, the decor is very basic, and really needs some TLC.

Overall Le Tour Centre Ville was convenient and a great value. There is a kitchen and a refrigerator in the room. The furniture and TV can use an upgrade but overall comfortable. The hotel is just blocks from Chinatown and St. Catherine Street which makes it an ideal location. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel offers a lot for the money (kitchenette, large suites), but at a tradeoff of comfort. We were there on a very hot weekend with daytime temperatures reaching 90 F, and the air conditioning didn't function. The hotel was full because there was a lot going on in the city that weekend, so the staff was unable to move us to another room. We were stuck in a room in with no air conditioning and windows that do not open. The room we stayed in was also in need of refurbishment with stained rugs and a television that worked intermittently. That being said, the cleaning staff and front desk staff were all pleasant, and the hotel is centrally located.

My room was old, cabinat's wall guides we demaged. I found holes on covered sofa bed. even if I asked for a 3 people room I had to poll out sofa bed and use covered bed with holes. Sofa bed was very light. I'm completely unsatisfied of this stay.

The location of this hotel was great, and it was inexpensive, but the room was very dated, uncomfortable and not especially clean, and I received insect bites while in bed which was kind of gross. I wouldn't stay here again.

"The price was definitely right, so I can't complain too much. The rooms were very stuffy with no way to open windows and the phone service was a joke. We had 2 rooms on different floors and had an awful time trying to communicate. Otherwise, a really great location, nice clean rooms with nice kitchens-complete with stove, refrigerator and dishes! Close to just about everything-even subway stops. Nice, semi-competent staff-they try hard. Non-smokers be SURE to request non-smoking rooms. Considering the price, we were pleased."

La Tour Centre Ville was very conveniently located. It is close to Chinatown and St. Catherine. The room I was in was very spacious and had its own kitchen. The furniture and television can use an upgrade. The air conditioning could have been a little stronger. But all in all I had no problems with the room or the hotel staff. For the value, I can recommend this hotel
