Review 25-28 july 2009Mario is a nice man who speaks good English and is very helpfull. The apartment is very new and clean with a big terrace which al 5 rooms can use. Our room was the only one with a balcony for ourselves! Breakfast is served in a common room and is pretty good for an Italian breakfast (pre-wrapped croissants, toaster, marmelade, orangejuice, tea, coffee, etc.). B&B is very close to center of the town. No noise from town, traffic or anything else. We loved it and will return here if we come back to Sardinia!

Perfect holidayWe had a very enjoyable stay at La Terazza which is a great B&B facility. The en suite room we stayed in was new, very clean and cosy with its own little terrace overlooking Alghero and air-conditioning which really saved our lives as it was so hot. B&B is located very close to historic town centre and beach (10-15 mins) as well as the beautiful harbor. With very welcoming and helpful host Mario it makes just perfect place to spend your holiday. We will be back for sure.

It was initially difficult to check in as the owner does not live there and we had to phone him to get him to come with keys. Other than that good location and ncie sun terrace.

Mario is the perfect host, friendly, efficient, and charming, who will try and assist you with anything to make your holiday experience staying at his B&B as good as possible. He will pick you up from the airport and drop you back for 10 euros which is extremely helpful, and generally advise you on good restaurants etc. The only drawback for anyone who is not fully fit is that the flat is on the fourth floor with 84 steps to climb up to get to the room, and there is no lift. The next time we go to Alghero we will definitely stay there again.

Good customer service when owner prestent. Otherwise hard to get hold of during stay if you have any questions. Glad we took advantage of airport transfer provided by Mario, the B&B owner. This made the holiday & finding the B&B hasstle free. Loved the use of the balcony. Self - service breakfast was very average but definatley good value for money.

Lovely owner - would recommend you don't pay for taxis from airport as Mario would give you a lift for 10 euro and works out much cheaper. Great location and extremely clean.

Had a lovely stay at La Terrazza, Mario is a great guy and very accomodating, he met us at the airport and dropped us off. Breakfast is self service with cornflakes, toast, yoghurt, juice and tea or coffee. The terrace outside the appartment is great for sunbathing and has a nice view of the bay. There is a supermarket just around the corner (250 metres). there are a lot of stairs to the appartment so its probably not suited to less mobile people. Alghero has a nice beach and lots of restaurants but the public transport system is not particularily user friendly (unless you speak Italian) so its probably worth hiring a car for your stay

Guesthouse was great - big room, pleasant shared area (lounge and eating area that's shared with guests staying in other room). Mario the owner was helpful and friendly and made us very welcome. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse.

Very pleasant stay in beautyful little Alghero. Had the ensuite double room. Clean and in very good condition. Mario, the host, is very friendly. He's not living at the flat himself, but shows up a few times every day to see that you're allright, fills the fridge with what you need for breakfeast, which is more or less the Italian way=sweet. But you can buy the excellent local salami, ham and cheeses in the shops nearby if you want. And the real coffee you'll have to drink in a café anyway, like the Italians do (in the flat there is only Nescafé and a selection of teas, mineral water, juice etc). The flat, on the top of the building) has a very big terace so you have nearly a panoramic view, and if you're lucky you can spend an hour lying in the sun. The only warning: this place is not prepared for disabled people, there is no elevator! Otherwise, walking distance to the historic Old Town (10 minutes). It's not a five star hotel, but for the price it was really a nice surprise, we can recommand it. And for 10 € Mario will pick you up at the airport. WM, Stockholm

It's a nice hotel conveniently located not far away from the old city and the beaches. The owner, Mario, was very friendly and helpful. I will definitively recommend this place to my friends.

B&B La Terrazza is a great place to stay in Alghero being only about 10 minutes walk to the centre. The area is really safe too. My friend and I had the twin room with private bathroom and it was all spotlessly clean. The bath towels were high quality and smelt lovely too, just like at home! The lounge area is great also, with a settee and two chairs and piles of magazines, information about Alghero, and a CD player with a variety of CD's to choose from. The terrace was one of the biggest terraces I have ever seen, in fact, you could almost have a game of tennis out there it is so huge (although probably not recommended!!!). The owner, Mario, collected us from the airport and is a very helpful and friendly chap. The only drawback to anyone with mobility difficulties, is that the apartment is on the fifth floor and there isn't a lift. All-in-all, a great location, quality accommodation and excellent value for money. Grazie mille Mario, che vediamo, Rachel & Kathy.

The owner has clearly put a lot of effort into the flat, our bathroom was amazing and the whole place was very clean. There is a great, huge three sided balcony although on the third floor, on a very pleasant street in a great location for exploring Alghero. The owner was very helpful and for a small fee collected us from the airport too. Bedroom had air conditioning, our only gripe was that our bed wasn't very comfortable.

An apartment rather than a hotel we had a very spacious ensuite room, breakfast was left for us by the owner (very helpful) and we could use the large terrace. The owner picked us up from the airport which I would recommend, cheaper than a taxi and easier to find than driving yourself (and finding parking). Would be ideal for a family as there are two bedrooms and shared 'living' accomodation - we stayed a few days and hardly saw the other guests as they tended to stay for one night and move on in the morning.we would stay again.

The owner, could not have been more helpful. The B&B is near the town centre, walking distance. the accomadation was more a appartment which you share with one other couple with a shared lounge, Both rooms have own bathroom. we will be coming backPhil & Jackie

Unobtrusively advertised, on a quiet city street, this B and B made a good, cheap, stop-over on our trip around the fantastic island of Sardinia. The friendly owner met us as agreed and the accommodation was as described. There is a shared lounge area, which is ‘intensely’ decorated. Breakfast is basic. The bedroom was a good size, well furnished with a more than adequate ensuite. The terrace could be really good but currently underused.

Mario was very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely come back to stay here if we return to Sardinia.
