At this Mediterranean-style resort, ranked in 2004 by Travel & Leisure 500 as one of the top 10 Caribbean hotels, guests wanting outdoor activities can ski, kayak, surf, sail, snorkel, play tennis on three outdoor courts, and day-trip to nearby islands. Couples can rent the resort's 37-foot powerboat for romantic sunset cruises, and sample the vibrant restaurants, clubs and shops of Marigot, the capital of the French side, and Philipsburg, the capital of the Dutch side. At this resort, a hillside pool with sundeck and bar supplies swimming to the sound of a gentle three-tier waterfall.
