Big and spacious room, decent bathroom, cool 19th century elevator, complementary internet, breakfast is quite reach comparing what we had in Rome for higher price. Very welcoming stuff. Beg though not very comfortable, but still ok.

We stayed four nights at La Residenza. This is an excellent location close enough to train station and right in the middle of town. The price for Florence is very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Spacious bathroom and individual air conditioning.

Very very helpful staff. I could not get internet in my room so they moved me, without me asking to another room. Very polite, always smiling, there to help and make my stay a pleasant one. The hotel is strategically located, at walking distance of every sight in Florence

I highly recommend La Residenza. We were warmly greeted by our hotel host (I can't remember his name) who personally walked us up to our room. We were presently surprised that we were given a triple room and a cot free of charge as we were a family of 4 (1 5yr old an 1 5mo old). That was a nice touch. The rooms are great and the location is awesome. It seemed like we were just a bloock or 2 away from all the points of interest in Florence. Breakfast was not bad, compared to other hotels we stayed in Rome and Venice. It's your basic deli slices of ham, cheese, toast, yogurt, juices, cereals, and coffee/capucinno's from a machine. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel due to it's location, room conditions, and a friendly staff. The price is more than fair for what we paid and we stayed on the most expensive street in Florence (Prada right across the street, Gucci and Ferragamo only steps away). I will not hesitate to stay here again for our next visit to Florence. Sincerely, Eric

Both the room and the bed were smaller than I was led to understand from the pictures. The room was extremely sparse, with very little table space, no night-table, and no comfortable chair. There was a serious lack of plugs to plug anything in. Not very comfortable when you're awake. The location is excellent and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Our room was quite nice, but desperately needed to be upgraded with new carpeting, bathroom tiles, furniture and paint on the walls. Not everything in Italy needs to look as though it belongs in the Renaissance. For other travelers, I would say the location is excellent. It's close to all the important visitor sites in Florence, as well as to nearby extravagant shopping.

The staff was very accomodating with personalized service. Price was good considering its location. Rooms were more roomy that I expected but unfortunately wathe jotel could not don much about the lack of good lighting in the room and bathroom s which gave me trouble reading and doing make-up unlike other Italian hotels where lighting was abundant. Breakfast room was bright and pleasant. Overall it was worth the money we paid for.

Generally, it was a great stay, location and people were lovely. We stayed 2 nights in a triple, which was spacious and served us well. The final 2 nights we booked 3 singles for some privacy, but lost out on the spaciousness and all 3 rooms involved stairs (either in the room or in the hallway.) The staff was very helpful with our luggage.

During a two week trip to Italy involving many different cities and hotels, Hotel La Residenza was the best hotel we stayed in. The hotel room was clean and quiet, the breakfast was delicious, the staff were more than helpful, the roof top balcony was a wonderful spot to relax. The location was perfect in terms of sight seeing and getting to and from the rail station. I felt safe and comfortable the entire trip. We loved this hotel and highly reccommend it to all that are considering it.

Nicely located and very interesting building. Staff were very helpful although 24 hour room service is seriously depleted after 6pm as hot drinks not available. Would recommend this hotel as the location alone is worth it and we felt that the price was reasonable considering how expensive Florence can be

Ideal central location with the right balance between the City bustle and the quieter back streets. Lots of authentic restaurants nearby especially south of the river. Roof terrace is small but attractive with lots of fragrant flowers and is perfectly adequate for a relaxing glass of wine and a good book. Rooms 8 & 9 good size, excellent bathrooms - only problem is windows were sealed but there was AC
