Date of Stay:

It was great location right next to mall, right off express way, and very close to all types of shopping, yet I found it to be very peaceful, and friendly staff.

The TV reception was poor on many channels. It was comfortable and clean but rather out of the way and difficult to get to.

The hotel was very good for the price. It was clean and safe and very accomodating for someone just interested in a place to spend the night without the bells and whistles and price.

There needs to be a scale on seeing room size, seemed clean but had a problem with pubic hair found in bed. We loved the make your own waffles and rest of breakfast was nice. The biggest problem with the whole trip was the cab ride...after traveling twice the time i did the last time in town I realized the driver had no clue where the address was or how to get there. We were dropped at a gas station with the driver demanding to be paid the metered 30 dollars.

Quick. Wireless internet had problems. Decent, wireless had issues.

The room I was assigned to was quite spacious and the rate quite reasonable. Although the exterior of the hotel looked somewhat worn, the room I had was nice and clean. The only complaint I have about staying here is that it seemed popular with out-of-town contractors and construction workers who liked to drive loud pick-up trucks.

excelent location. On a house hunting trip. Have not found the home as yet but excellent location to plan the day. Will stay on my next trip.

The breakfast , I have always like having the waffles, and the apple juice was good. The four days I was there they never changed the sheets and on the last night I had to go to the office and pick up my own towels. This hotel is someplace you might like to stay only once.

The hotel is located behind a vacant Cracker Barrel which is behind a vacant Donut Shoppe. Our room was supposed to be nonsmoking one but smelled of smoke. It is tucked behind the main road just enough to feel a bit unsafe. It appears that this side of the interstate was once well maintained, but now there is a vacant mall down the road and this hotel has seen better days. On the other side of the interstate, there are more updated hotels such as Hampton Inn and Drury Inn. I would not stay there again, even though it was inexpensive for our stop on the way to see relatives.

The check in was disappointing as the front desk had no maps of the hotel (for ice locations, room placemen etc.) and no maps of the city. We also asked about breweries and the clerk was less than pleased to tell us about one. The next morning the hard boiled eggs were not ready & ended up being slightly over cooked. However, the room was exceptionally clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Good location for getting on & off the main interstate.

It was a comfortable hotel and fairly near nice eating places. The location seemed to be getting rundown.

Extremely friendly staff, especially the front desk. A very short drive to any restaurant of your choice, stores, airport, etc. Extremely nice room for the money!

I liked its location, it was within range of a lot of local attractions. The room smelled damp. I enjoyed the stay and I'll most likely go there again if I'm in that area. It had unsecured wireless internet which could be a potential risk. Overall a good stay.

Stayed for 8 nights and the staff went out of their way to accommodate me. Would definitly stay there again.

The place was clean and decent. The location was convenient being right off the highway, but it's sitting between the backside of a shopping area and the highway, so the ambience isn't great.

Very clean, & quiet. Very disappointed pool wasn't open.

I needed a last minute reservation near Greenville. I have stayed at other newly renovated hotels in this chain before and had excellent experiences. I only read the most recent Orbitz reviews briefly and noticed lots of "5" ratings. Hmmmm. It wasn't until after I checked in that I saw the "1" lower down the column. I wish I saw it before I was stuck. The room SMELLED. I mean, I'm not a really picky person, but some kind of smell permeated everything. Wet dog smell. Also, the room felt like like I was in a basement. Weird. The WORST part of the experience was I couldn't get the lock to work properly. I just did not feel safe. I spent the night with the lights on fully dressed on top of the sheets. Miserable experience. You're in an alley between the interstate and a factory. Not a good place for a woman alone.

Convenient breakfast, clean. Helpful maids. I didn't like the entrance off of the main road. Felt like an alley.

La Quinta Greenville was in need of some renovation, with hard mattresses and worn-out door locks that defied opening by the punch-hole key cards(?) provided, and heavy bedpreads. Its location is convenient to 85, but circuitous to get to their front door, when you discover you're right alongside the Interstate with its continuous road noise.
