The room was clean the staff was nice. The Breakfast was OK (more fresh fruit would be better). No complaints

Basic, no frills, but nice. Could have offered a late checkout. This is your basic cheap hotel. Nothing fancy, but nice. My only complaints were that the bathrooms were tiny and that they could have accommodated our late checkout.

This hotel used to be Baymont Inn and we've stayed there a lot in the past, but now it's LaQuinta. Asked for smoking room and they gave nonsmoking, then asked for close to lobby due to handicapped and they gave us room far away from lobby and pool. Shower and bathroom floor never cleaned during our 5 day stay until we complained on 3rd & 4th day. Talked to front desk and then General Manager who just made excuses and never apologized or took action or compensated us in any way for the numerous complaints. Spiders in room. Used soap never taken away, floor not vacuumed, sink top & sink not cleaned thoroughly, empty cups/cans not thrown. Kids jumping into pool repeatedly after 10 pm. Large pickup truck parked nightly in No Parking zone in front of building and customers couldn't back up in handicapped spots. Free continental breakfast gone fast and few hard stale items only left when we got there 3 times. Last day, lady in charge of buffet served lobby front desk food and drink which is meant for customers and didn't help me-just stared-when I was handicapped and trying to put food/drink on a tray. Management needs to take customer service training and customer satisfaction classes asap. No desire to appreciate or thank customer or make them happy. Never stay again.

Our 4-night stay at the La Quinta Inn in Wausau was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the continental breakfast was particularly nice, especially the make-your-own waffle options. The indoor pool and jacuzzi, although somewhat small, provided a nice place to relax, and the location, while nothing great in and of itself, was conveniently located in terms of dining, shopping, and recreational opportunities. It was especially nice to be able to walk to the lovely little wooded park just across the highway from the Inn.

Non-smoking room, but smelled like old smoke. Dingy appearance.

Nice stay but the beds were rock hard.

Friendly front desk staff. They felt bad for the problems I reported. It was smelly and it felt dirty. This is the first bad experience I had with a hotel. I started out with there being slime in the ice machine. I was going to put it in my drink. The bathtub looked like it needed some serious bleach. The bottom had a dirty look as well as the sides looking dirty around the ring. The door to the bathroom had to be forced shut. The hallway really smelled like a bad mix of deodorizer and dead, stale air.

The staff was very friendly there. I thought the room was VERY VERY small. The shower and toilet area was so small I am glad I am a small person. The beds are the old full size bed yet, not up dated yet. I thought it was expensive for what it was.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool could have been cleaner (looked like algae) speaking from a swim club manager. The room was clean and the people were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend La Quinta to other people (I have stayed at other La Quinta's and I found that the Wausau location was the friendliest by far).

For an overnight stay it was just fine. They are in a remodeling stage so there are some things that will be improved by next visit.

Very friendly help at the breakfast bar. Trying to get to the hotel. For the price and last minute, we did not have high expectations, so we were not disappointed. For the cheap price that we paid, the room was clean and it had the History channel and Discovery, so my son and I were very happy! Enjoyed our stay for the night.

Friendly staff, clean, quiet, comfortable, 12 noon check-out, breakfast included, convenient location. The place was a fantastic for the price. This hotel was staffed with friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people. It was clean, comfortable, if not exceptionally spacious (I was just there to sleep, not party) but clean, and attractive. It also had great cable channels (MSNBC, CNN). The locate was fantastic as far as ease of access to major highways! I'd highly recommend anyone looking for a reasonably priced place to stay, stay here!

Appreciative and kind staff. Even the late night desk clerk was smiley and welcoming. Old bathroom with noisy fan that went on with the light. We stayed here 1 night en route to a family event. The rate was very fair; the location off 29 was perfect. I was really taken with how great the staff was the whole time we were there. Everyone was all smiles and seemed very earnest about helping you- it was not forced or fake. We arrived around 11pm and the desk clerk was bright eyed and nice as if we were arriving at noon. There were nice touches letting us know we were appreciated and welcome in the room (candy and a note!), at breakfast, and at the front desk. Also, I forgot my personal pillow there, and when I went to retrieve it they were very organized with their lost and found items. It was not the fanciest or newest room ever, but the pool and the lobby was fine and it was a nice place to be.

The hotel was in great location, easy to find and was around a lot of great restaurants. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, very relaxing. The only thing I can think of, would maybe the water pressure in the shower could have been better. This was a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. The room met my expectations. My quest and I had a great time and it was very nice to relax in a comfortable setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
