This hotel is not the nice new one that is visible from the interstate but instead the somewhat "un-nice" one across the street. This one is on the Texas side, the new one is on the Arkansas side. This hotel is definitely not a 2.5* hotel. It is shabbily maintained. It is a two-story hotel but there is no elevator and you must go up an internal staircase and then out the door to an exterior walk-way to second story rooms. We stayed here May 5, 2009 and the check-in person was rude. I had called after making this reservation to make sure I had a room on the 1st floor as I am handicapped. I was told "no problem" However, when we arrived I was told that rooms were assigned first thing in the morning and there was no changing it now. This was not a very nice introduction. The room had an unpleasant odor, the beds were significantly different in height and there was mold in the bathroom. My husband was bitten by fleas in the night. There was a sticker on the mirror reminding us about the "free" USA Today newspaper in the morning. I asked for one and was told they haven't had them in over a year. That really rocked my world and I proceeded to elaborate about the problems with the room and left a message for the manager to call me. This hotel was supposed to have "satisfaction guaranteed" NOT No call on the 6th. No call on the 7th. I called the hotel again and left my number and then called the 800 number. That finally got a call from April the manager who said she had "checked" the room and could not "see" any fleas. The mold had been covered by silicone and that I had peeled the silicone off the wall to reveal the mold. Hmmmm. Does that mean that they were covering rather than treating the mold. Lady, there is mold in that bathroom. When white tile has intermittent black and grey grout, that's mold. No explanation was given on the mattresses and the smell and I was again reminded that she could not refund my money. These people don't want our business, they only want to fill their bad rooms with unsuspecting customers and be done with it. This is a 1 star hotel masquerading as a 2.5* hotel. Let's see if they actually do send me a coupon for a free night's stay. I would never use it here. This is one of the worst La Quinta's I have ever see. I'm not the only review that pointed out the lack of cleanliness and the bugs. This is a Fleabag Hotel that should be closed. La Quinta should be ashamed to be associated with it.

The motel staff were very nice and understanding. We needed a room where we could park the boat close to the room. The accommodated us very quiokly and with no hassle.

The Motel was very good in most every respect, EXCEPT they were unable to provide a room that had not been smoked in. After inspecting three rooms with the helps of a most cooperative desk clerk and maid, we gave up and took the room with least smell of cigarette smoke and . Otherwise the room and bath, tho a bit small by motel standards, was clean, the bedding good, the sheets in a woven pattern you would find in the Chicago Hilton. The breakfast was more than adequate including a waffle machine and batter that produced great waffles. I would certainly recommend it for the price ($59 + tax) and location if your asthma can stand the smoke and perhaps they have rooms that have been completely purged from the tobacco smell. You would enjoy the staff who speak ordinary English and extend Southern hospitality.

We were checking in very late at night. Hotel staff was very friendly on the phone and in person. Room was clean. Other guests were a little noisy.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast area very small for size of hotel. Room Clean and comfortable. After I was in room they accidentaly gave my room to a family who was trying to get in while I was in there. In the morning the breakfast area was very small for the amount of people having breakfast. Got a cup of coffee and left.

The room was clean and adquate for a one night stay. The bathroom was a little small for a bigger person. The breakfast was nice and had a variety.

My stay was very pleasant. My only complaint is that the air conditioner was not blowing cold air. Since I was only in the room at night and it wasn't really hot I didn't bother the front desk with it. I'm sure they would have offered to let me switch rooms. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The other observation I had was that there was no business center. If you bring your own computer this would not be a problem.

Nothing Over priced, nasty smell, not clean. It lacked cleanliness and was expensive thanks to Priceline.

I stayed for 2 nights. It is all exterior door hence the safety reveiw. I wasn't to worried about it though, plus I travel with protection. I would recommend this hotel for any traveling guys but I just think women should be in interior room accomodations for safety reasons. The beds AND pillows were clean and comfortable which is most important to me when I am traveling. Also, the place was clean accept for a stain on the carpet. Overall it was a good deal for the money. I will prob stay there again when I come back to town. As long as the price is good! Conitnental breakfast could have had some more fresh fruit, better juice and a few more options but again, I can't complain much cause there was food to eat at least.

I did not go to this hotel; my plans changed and I couldn't cancel--so I hope they enjoyed the empty room.

This hotel was great!! They have a wonderful continental breakfast. My family and I shared two conjoining rooms and loved it. It's in a quite spot with minimal traffic and has very roomy rooms. I plan to stay again in the summer on my way to see family again.

Waffle maker at continental breakfast. Small beds. The continental breakfast was better than some due to a waffle maker and hard boiled eggs. Probably a reasonable price.

We had a long motorcycle ride to get to the hotel and when we got there we went right to the pool. It was very nice with the towels very handy.
