Date of Stay:
July, 2009
I spent the night and caught the lightrail into town from the airport. Nice breakfast including yogurt, muffins, fresh fruit. Lots of seating.
Date of Stay:
June, 2009
The price and location. For the money this is a nice hotel in a nice location, and the staff was very courteous. I have no complaints whatsoever, in fact this hotel was nicer than I expected it to be.
Date of Stay:
November, 2008
This location in west Bloomington is great if you're going to a game, Mall of America or anything. Fast checkin, rooms were clean and well kept. Nice pool area, coin laundry if needed and fitness room. Morning breakfast was nice but not great - just cereal, bagels, waffles etc. and was cleaned out by 9:30 Sunday morning. OVerall a great value and location for going to the cities.

I was upset when I first checked in and asked to cancel my second night and they had me call Orbitz and Orbitz showed one cancellation procedure but then the hotel assistant manager was able to say no they would not accept my cancellation for the second night........not a happy hoteler at that time

It had everything we wanted. The pool and hot-tub areas need a little help. I would highly recommend this hotel to others looking for a great place to stay close to the Mall of America. The shuttle service was most helpful and took us to places not even mentioned!
Date of Stay:
April, 2008
The loud heater fan would come on every 20 minutes. Even when we pussed the OFF button. Did not sleep.

Very nice very clean, and very freindy service
Date of Stay:

I appreciated the continental breakfast and all the room they had in that room. The breakfast should have gone until ten vs. nine, We missed it the first day. We were a little nervous when we did this at first, but we were very please with the accommodations. The hotel was very nice and pleasant. Thanks for your work.

Stayed there when returning from a flight The pool area is really poor. The hot tub needs repair. Bed is sumptuous but the room is small and carpet seems old and not too clean. No free newspaper. Very small bathroom The price for a stay park fly was too high.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last year and have found them to be consistently friendly and helpful. I always feel very at home here.
Date of Stay:
March, 2009
Very modern looking rooms and pretty looking. Staff was very helpful.

This is a no-frills hotel, but it is very clean, updated, and you can't beat the price. The beds have wonderful feather pillows and down comforters which made for a very good night's sleep. The location is convenient and easy to find. I wasn't all that impressed with the clerk at the front desk. She was full of tatoos and didn't even greet me, which was disappointing. Overall, me and my friends were impressed and would definitely stay there again!

I had stayed in this type of hotel before when it was a motel. They were Ok then but this is a very excellent Hotel. This La Quinta showed professionalism at the front desk, excellent breakfast in the morning, wonderful room, etc.
Date of Stay:

Good free breakfast. Front desk staff was smoking in front of hotel door. Rooms were clean but simple. Not very attractive. I did not appreciate the front desk staff smoking outside the fornt door. I have asthma and the sign on the hotel specifically stated no smoking within 20 feet of the entrance.

I'm not just talking about the Green Bay Packers' ! I'm talking about you too! Go Pack your bags, then Go check out this newly renovated hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, the decor nice and modern and the beds were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was the best hotel CB I've had. My only complaint was that the bathroom towels were not soft. they were rough on the skin. Soft towels would have made this stay all the better. However, the towels were easily forgotten as soon as we boarded the train to the Metrodome to see the Packers and Vikings play! What a weekend! Our friends getaway was great! Thanks Minnesota!

This La Quinta was a good place to stay. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating and Shuttle Drivers were as well. The room was a nice view and liked the vanity and bathroom being seperate. The location was good and an added bonus by having complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport and the Mall of America. There is an Olive Garden a block away with in walking distance that had good food. They had a variety of pamphlets in the hotel of area attractions that included coupons. The continental breakfast that was served was very good and a great variety. Especially the waffles you got to make yourself. Overall I would give this hotel a 4 out of 5.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was not working while we were there, which was disappointing. This hotel was a great value, clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The staff was fun and friendly. The continental breakfast was really good. I wish there was more equipment in the fitness center but it was adequate and clean. The sauna was a great feature but the hot tub was under repair, which was disappointing.
Date of Stay:
August, 2007
This hotel seems to cater to the "one night stay" for those needing to be close to the Minneapolis - St Paul airport. Rooms were small, as were the baths. Hotel cleanliness was good. Very few frills, but if you only need a comfy bed at a good rate, this place will probably be good for you. Rooms on no-smoking floors appear to be in best condition. Scheduling of the airport shuttle would be improved if it departed every 30 minutes instead of only on the hour, which really limits flexibility in making early morning flights.
Date of Stay:
March, 2008
We loved our room we stayed in, it was cleaned, modern, and the view was great!! We went down to the pool and it was ok. The hot tub needs some work done. But otherwise VERY satisfied!
Date of Stay:
January, 2009
Convenient location. The hot tub was out of order and the pool was kind of small. Overall, a great value for the money. The location was convenient, the rooms were comfortable and everything was clean.
