Peaceful ambience. NOT a 5 star but clearly very good package for the money.I stay here frequently when visiting Albuquerque---QUIET rooms even though adjacent to the Interstate.

I stayed one night in four different hotels on this trip--this being the last--and I think I will seek out La Quinta in the future. The value for the money was perfect, comparing it to a Day Inn in Cedar City Utah for the same price. There is no comparison. The room was new, clean, well appointed for the * range. I was surprised to find an On Demand movie system AND Nintendo. It was just what I needed after a very emotionally charged trip. The only things were there was a big wet spot on the carpet. The kind you only find with stocking feet, ew! I determined that they had cleaned a spot and it hadn't dried yet. The other thing, and this is really petty, is the vending machines. On my floor you pay $1.00 for a 12 oz. can of soda. But I had to go to the desk for change and found the vending down there had the 20oz bottles for $1.25.and they have other machines with better snacks. The lack on consistency bothered me.

Don't get a room on the North side of the building because you will listen to trucks on the Interstate all night if you do. Nice room that was very clean. Not great value for the cost of the room, however

This hotel is located in a very convenient area with easy access to I40 and Coors. It is surrounded by a few other hotels/motels but is easily the nicest property in the area. It is quiet and the staff are very nice, courteous, and attentive. The breakfast is a standard free hotel breakfast and the dining area can get a little cramped in the morning rush. The elevator is EXTREMELY slow and most of the time we were better off taking the stairs despite being on the 4th floor! You can hear some highway noise inside the room but that is a given with the hotels proximity to major thouroughfares and we didn't find it annoying. Otherwise a great place to stay for a quick trip to ABQ.

I stayed over the balloon fiesta weekend and reserved a suite, I was told the room was not clean and to check back in an hour, after an hour past I went back and was told it still wasn't clean and to check back in another hour, I gave them two hours and called before driving back from Old Town,when I called the front desk couldn't find my reservation and said I didn't have a reservation even when I gave him the confirmation number, finally he found it and told me the room was still not clean, after waiting until almost until 6pm the room was ready, I had a suite but the noise from the freeway was not worth the stay or the trouble I went through to get the room. I would not recommend the stay. I have a corporate account with La Quinta and have pulled my account away from them!!!

The hotel and our room was exceptionally nice, like a much more expensive hotel. Good security and well lit in the parking lot. Didn't use the pool or excersize room, but they both appeared well kept and clean. Nice gazebo like in their pictures, very nice continental breakfast bar with a nice variety of items. Would highly recommend and will stay again next time.

Had 2 rooms (suites) on different floors. One was ok, but the other had not been cleaned and had linen piled on the bed and trash cans still full, desk was notified immediately and informed us they could do nothing to clean the room, and would assigned us a different room. They assigned us to a lessor room on the other side of the hotel which was clean, but only had one good light bulb in the whole room.

They gave my little dog a bone. It was very sweet. We had to call 4 times about the people above us jumping on the floor. The hotel was great with the exception of the 4 calls we had to make about the folks upstairs running and jumping. We heard the noise for several hours that night. The staff finally asked to move us. However, we did not feel we were the ones that should be inconvenienced by a move.

We've stayed at this La Quinta almost every time we've driven between Phoenix and Des Moines (about a once a year endeavor one way or the other). This was our fourth stay. We are impressed every time. By contrast, we have yet to find an even acceptable choice in Wichita, so the Albuquerque West La Quinta stands out even more compared to the hotel we endured the night before. This La Quinta is singularly well maintained and spotless, even in places often ignored by others, like stairwells. It looked and smelled clean and new, even though it is not newly constructed. Hallways, including cove moldings and carpet, were immaculate. The level of care carried through to the outside where gardens around the outdoor pool are intimate in detail and nicely finished. The room had none of those little items needing repair and was as clean as could be. The room design is unique and particularly well thought out. Nice touches include a simple high speed wired connection for computers and a great desk/table combination. The hotel is conveniently located, close off of I-40 though a bit hidden among a cluster of lesser hotels. Staff at the desk and elsewhere were friendly and attentive. The morning breakfast service, included waffles and real orange juice in addition to basics like toast, fresh fruit and rolls. Staff kept the breakfast bar well stocked and clean, throughout breakfast. We travel frequently for business and few hotels costing two or three times as much are as good as this La Quinta. This particular hotel is why La Quinta made it onto our short list for hotels brands we actively seek out. This La Quinta is highly recommended and is a notable bargain. Very satisfying stay.

The hotel was clean. Our room was on the highway side and it was a little noisy. We felt safe at the hotel and it was clean and well maintained.

Room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Big bathroom with thick towels. Bed was very comfortable. Liked the secure, hard wire internet. Enjoyed the waffles in the morning. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but did not feel that I overpaid for what we got.

Cleanliness. Ice machine would not work on our floor, pets allowed and awaken several times during the night with dog barking. I found my experience to be very comfortable.

Great value, comvenient location, Nintendo 64 for kids. Young guests chasing and giggling in the hallway. No fridge. A good base for leisure travelers. Close to Petroglyth National Monument and Old Town. Restaurants, Walmart and gas stations in the vicinity.

Nice breakfast. The bathroom and small size of room if you had used a wheel chair. The huge bathroom was impossible. There was only a small porcelain vanity with no place to put toiletry or shaving items. Although there were 2 double beds, there was only 1 straight back chair to watch TV etc. I helped my 102 yr mother and know that you do not need that much room in a bathroom that you could not have a vanity of some sort.

"We were first sent to the filthiest room I've ever encountered, the sheets on the bed had yellow stains and the pillowcase had blood on it and hairs all in both beds and you could tell the sheets had not been changed. We got another room. They had only one cart to carry your luggage and it couldn't be located when we checked out and we had to carry everything out ourselves."

I loved the rooms, spacious, & comfortable beds. Super. Swimming pool was outside & not much choice on their continental breakfast. The hotel meets the expectation of traveler on short notice and welling to accomodate your needs. It is located off I-40 which is convenient for traveling. The hotel staff were very friendly and great to be met with a smile. I liked this establishment.

Location is excellent with pleasant, clean rooms. Several breakfast items were not available such as hard boiled eggs. Pleasant hotel which is a good value.
