It was a nice hotel with limited food options.

The hotel staff. Lack of items on continental breakfast. Well maintained clean hotel with a very friendly staff.

The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. Due to the airline travel restrictions on liquid, i would have liked to see some conditioner and/or toothpaste in the bath or at least a place to buy courtesy size items. I had to make a special trip to the drug store.

The only thing that kept me in this hotel was that I was staying with a group--that an the check in clerk who would have done anything if she could. I moved to three separate rooms in less than 24 hours. First night: stuck me in a thoroughly disgusting smoking room in error, so rancid your throat burned the minute you walked in, with dirt and stains on the sofa and furniture. (Sorree-we-are booked-up.) Had to leave window open (no screen) on a railyard doing maintenance work all night long. Second day--moved to room in which key did not work and had to trudge downstairs with all my luggage again, the front desk insisting I simply hadn't pushed the key firmly enough. I had to make them come upstairs and prove to them the key did not fit the door. Room also had no working A/C; after three hours the front desk was still telling me to "wait another 15 minutes to see if it came on" and never bothered to order maintenance as they said they would. Then they tried to make me stay in the room because their maintenance man hadn't pronounced the unit formally dead. Moved to third room and had to chase the flies out, only to discover the lock did not work on the door. Again said they would put in a work order (6 am) and by 4pm no one had come. At this point I gave up because I had to be at work and could not continue to play games. What a pity that this nice-looking hotel is such a lemon. They have a few good employees who are eclipsed by the rest. Breakfast was nothing to mention--either menu or "free" continental.

The location wasn't bad, easy access to I-5 but bordered an industrial area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well taken care of. They just need to add more options for food, the only restaurant is closed on Sundays for dinner and not much food options in the surrounding area. Frige and microwave in the room was convenient.

Overall clean and well kept. Not 100% non-smoking. I thought it was a good. Do check in early though or you might get stuck with a smoking room as we did. Not La Quinta's fault as we checked in very late on a busy weekend and all they had left was a smoking room.

This hotel seems new and all furnishings were nice. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was nice and offered complimentary continental breakfast as well as brunch. The room had a coffeepot, which was a good feature. The bed would have been very comfortable if I could have slept by myself. We had my mother with us so we got a room with two beds. I tried to get a room with a handicap bath, but those rooms only had one king bed. I'm pretty sure our beds were double instead of queen; we're used to sleeping in a king, so my husband and I were pretty uncomfortable. The other thing about the room was the heater. It was controlled by a wall thermostat and could not keep an even temperature. I had to get up twice during the night to shut if off and then turn it back on. It was also very noisy.

We made the horrible mistake of showing up 20 minutes before the end of the morning continental breakfast. By the time we got there the employees had removed everything and clearly could give a crap about the customers. Worst part, the reason they stopped serving the breakfast was so they could upsell us to the brunch which was * per person! What a load of !@#! I like how they act like the breakfast is free when in fact the cost of the breakfast is built into the room rate. It looks as if this place used to have good service but the quality has really gone down. Very dissapointing.

The la Quinta Tacoma had a very accomodating staff. My only complaint was that even though it was the holiday week the options for food were very limited during the hours I needed. The breakfast was served at different hours each day and a couple of times we totally missed it. The bar was open but my young son could not go in there. Room service would have been too expensive.

Good customer service and clean. Pool and spa were closed and continental breakfast had very limited variety. This hotel was nice, pretty centrally located, good price for the area, considering how clean the hotel was. The beds were extremely comfortable but a little small for two adults to sleep in, there were to full size beds in our room. There are a couple social gathering areas on the main floor which were great to be able to socialize with our in town friends. The continental breakfast, had toast, bagels, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and muffins.

Despite the passed shelf-life continental breakfast and a couple of other pet peeves, I could not have been more pleased than I was with the room and the pool. I think that as far as value in Tacoma, this is the best.

Thehotel was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay.

Friendly service, comfortable beds and close to freeway. Some minor road noise, breakfast wasnot hot. Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast was served in the restaurant and was OK, but no waffles. Hotel restaurant & bar were convenient with decent food. They closed fairly early during the week though. No stores and only one BBQ restaurant close by. Close to the Tacoma Dome & casino- but not walking distance for most people. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave. I would stay again.

VERY pleased with the room and the pool. Very quiet, comfortable room and clean, inviting pool/spa area. Convenient free parking, too. Just three negative comments: a panhandler approached me for money just outside the premises, the free continental breakfast seemed to feature items that had passed their shelf-life and, a promise made by the front desk staff that towels would be brought out to us poolside because there were none available at the time - never happened. (They specify using towels located at the frontdesk - not towels from the room.) All and all I would stay here again.

I was there on business. The location was great for me. I would stay there again. Clean comfy room.

It was clean and appealing to the eye. The room was contemporary & fresh. I enjoyed my stay, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. I like the fact that it was up to date and contemporary looking and not run down.

I liked the room but the some rooms are not as quiet. Staff very friendly and accomindating. Clean all around. Having the business center availible was great! Most food was top notch.

Our visit started by checking in with very friendly and professional personel. Some of our party arrived later and still had a nice selection of food at the bar. The next day we had lunch at the hotel. There was a buffet of mainly fried seafood (clam strips, fish, etc) and a full menu. The only minor drawback is the location in a semi-industrial area. However, getting into and out of the area was quite easy.

The rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable. I would like to see the continental breakfast be more environmentally friendly, i.e use real plates & flatware instead of plastic. The room was very clean. The continental breakfast could be improved by adding yogurt and a better selection fof fruit.

We had an enjoyable stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wasn't much closeby - within walking distance- for dining but the hotel food was very good . The hotel is right off the interstate and there was a major shopping area within two exits of the location. Nice outdoor heated pool the fitness center and business center were small, but adequate. The beds in the room were very comfortable and the room was clean.
