I only booked this hotel because it was on the river. Unfortunately, when I got there, my room was not riverview. I had the view of a wall. I even called the hotel a week before to confirm that I had a riverview room and they told me yes. When I got there they told me it was first come first serve, and I was there 10 minutes before check-in and first in line. I would not have driven 4 hours if I was not gauranteed a "Riverview" room.

Very friendly staff, beautiful view, very clean and well kept. We will definitely return to Charleston and this hotel again! This hotel was very well maintained and very well staffed. We would highly recommend to all our friends and family.

The hotel was suppose to have been remodeled and our room was not. You could open a drawer and no bottom would be there. The shower knob could turn and turn and you didn't know if you had hot or cold water. Definitely not a 3 star hotel.

I needed a good night's rest b/c I had 2 job interviews in the morning. The hotel was quiet and peaceful and close to everything. I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location. Sheets were not changed after a day. This is an older hotel. There were some tears in the furniture. It could have been a little cleaner.

Room was very comfortable, remote did'nt work properly, no ashtrays, and tv was blue around the picture on tv. breakfast was awsome! Everything was clean, would still stay again. we had a great time

when we went out and came back to the room, the key would not work. we had to make numerous trips to the front desk to solve this problem.

The look and cleanliness, I really enjoyed my stay. The location was good for me for where I needed to go in Charleston. I thought the hotel was super clean but I wish I had a refrigerator in my room. I will definitely stay there next time I'm in Charleston.

The door to my room did not fit in the door frame. I ended up stuffing a towel in the space between the door and the door frame, and was able to get two hand towels in there. I could watch people walk by the room and hear EVERYTHING in the hallways. The night desk worker was nice! Everyone else was friendly and helpful. My standards aren't really high, but the lack of a proper door would make me not stay again.

The hotel was very nice. Nice location with a very nice view. We enjoyed it very much. The only problem was that I was charged for the room when I made the reservation, took it out on my debit card and charged again when I checked out, debit card again. It took 3 phone call but finally straighted it out.

the hotel was only minutes from downtown chaleston and close to james island/folley beach. it had a small pool and a fitness room which i didn't use.the overall cleanliness was very good.they had a good selection of food for the comtinental breakfast but ran out of food early.the best feature of the hotel was location/price.

My family thouroughly enjoyed our stay @ this wonderfully designed hotel! As we were traveling home we ALL decided that this will be our pick any time we are in the Charleston area. The staff was VERY friendly and took care of our every need, and we are a high maintence family!! With all the new staff changes every was pleasant and attentive. The only thing we would suggest is a small fridge and microwave in the rooms. Our rooms were right beside a 4 lane highway and we never heard the traffic. LOVE IT !!!!!

Overall, the hotel was good. My Mom and I went down to Charleston for the Cooper River Bridge Race and the location of the hotel was AWESOME! It was very close to everything - we had to drive, but the drive was minimal. The rooms were clean, towels and sheets clean. Beds were comfy. The only downside to the hotel is, it is pet-friendly and while I am a dog owner and love pet-friendly places, there were guests there that weekend who left their pets in the rooms and the dogs barked incessantly. That made sleeping a problem. I say bring your dog - but if the dog is going to bark, leave it at home with a kennel or a friend.
