Reasonable rates for summer. Close to the fun stuff of Newport. Large, clean, never been smoked in room. We had the Executive King. Motel is pet friendly but didn't smell like a farm.

The friendly staff and the location. It wasn't as well maintained this visit, nor were our needs met efficiently. This time we brought friends and were disappointed. The walls in our room had spots/stains on them and were needing new paint. The toliet didn't flush well and the pool was over-chlorinated. We clearly chose the wrong time for breakfast (8:30 am) because some food was gone and there was no place to sit. Also the waffles were sticking to the waffle iron. The breakfast staff was neither helpful or friendly. I realize the hotel was fully booked, but it seemed like the staff in general was not prepared for this. I will only stay here again if I have no other choice.

We stayed at the La Quinta for 10 days, so we became very familiar with the staff and the hotel in general. Overall the experience was adequate at best. The floors /ceilings are thin so late night move-ins above your room will likely wake you. The night supervisor/manager tended to be combative when concerns were raised, however the breakfast room attendant XXX was friendly, helpful and outgoing- we enjoyed his daily cheer! The Inn's decor is a bit dated (sea-foam green) and the ceilings were painted green as well (a bit odd). A big factor in my low scores was the overall cleanliness & attention to detail that is lacking at this location. The rooms are a bit grungy with accululated dust and grime in nearly all out of the flow areas. The daily clean-up was a mixed bag as well, some days it was ok, others it as obviously a fluff & run. There was grease and dirt built-up on the bathroom door. We were shorted on towels 5 out of our 10 nights. The rooms are a bit dark and would benefit from better lighting. The staff at the inn is primarily young, but most were very nice and helpful. The confrotational manner of the night supervisor/manager was unnecessary and detracted from our overall experience.

room was comfortable and quite. the carpet should have been vacuumed better. the continental breakfast was excellant. overall I would give it a Bminus.

Great location close to the aquarium and South Beach State Park. Clean room, pet friendly, kid friendly. Walking distance to the aquarium with shops and places to eat nearby. Close to Hatfield center, about a half a mile from South Beach State Park, which is a very nice place. They have seperate floors for those with and without pets, so you can request one or the other.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 1 night while visiting Oregon. It's what we expected and needed: A good, clean room with a comfortable bed. Free breakfast was good, but most other comparable motels/hotels have same deal. Location was fine and just a short drive over the bridge to the main part of Newport.

Staff, Beds, Breakfast. Bathroom and bathtub not clean had black mold and smelled. We were not told they were under construction. When finished will probably be pretty. The staff were great. The place was worth the money. Only problem was the bathtubs have a matt that is put down to avoid being slippery and under is black mold that stinks really bad. They should replace them each time.

My sister and I stayed there for four nights. The beds were cozy, the room large, and the staff wonderfull! The bathroom could have had a bit more room, but it was fine. I liked this hotel very much.

Good Location. Too loud. A decent, clean stop with pleasant staff.

Good value with large, clean room, proximity to Oregon Coast Aquarium. If you go to the aquarium, you can walk from here. High speed wireless internet worked very well. Staff was very nice. I'd stay again.

Close to the aquarium. Far from everything else. Hotel was clean & well kept although the pool room was a bit dark and the water a bit chilly. The hotel staff was pretty cool for the most part we didn't see them so not bad, not good aside from that the hotel is at the opposite end of town. Kind of far from the beach. But I only went there to sleep and swim. All in all it was a great hotel for the money and I would stay again.

"We stayed in this motel while visiting the Oregon Coast. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the aquarium and some great shops. The staff, service, and breakfast are excellent. The only problem we had was that the breakfast room was small and during peak times seating was limited, we had to wait for a place to sit. However the motel was completely full during our visit. The kids loved the pool and the washer and dryer were a big help."

I liked the layout of the room and the useful kitchen of the suit. A little surprised at the small repairs that have gone unattended. I would be willing to stay at this hotel again. From the pool to the included self-serve breakfast bar, we found everything to be of a nice quality and very enjoyable. This is not a luxury hotel, but it is certainly the best of what an economy hotel can offer.

We had ants all over our room. The sleeper bed was unsleepable and it clearly had never been opened up and cleaned. Not my idea of a Suite!

Clean, nothing broken, lots of room-very nice. Beds could have been a little firmer. Hard to get a room here during spring break - glad we did this year. Nothing worth complaining about. Very satisfied with our stay. We will definitely try again next year.

Good breakfast bar with boiled eggs, hot waffles and fresh fruit. There is an indoor heated pool with hot tub, two free computers/Internet available to guests, a good breakfast bar selection with hot waffles, boiled eggs, yogurt, pastry/bagels, fresh fruit and a few vending machines. The hotel staff was helpful with a small selection of DVDs to use for free. There was microwave/fridge/DVD player/hair dryer/ironing board located in the room. An overall good experience.

Was convenient and very clean. All they had left was a smoking room and was awful, but that was our fault for waiting till last minute. This is the second time we stayed in this hotel, once in 2004 and now in 2007. Both times it was very clean and relaxing room. It is right off hwy 101 which makes it super convenient.

The bed seems like is kind of old, too soft! Staff was pretty helpful, except the night before my departure, I discovered that my black jacket that I had hung up in the room which was gone, notified the front desk whom told me she would let me know if anyone finds it that she would contact me. However, no one has contacted me and my black jacket is missing from my room. I'm very upset about this.
