The room was large, but not cleaned well. There was dirt behind the bedside table, and in other places in the room. The mattress was uncomfortable. A staff member behind the desk gave us incorrect information about our staying another day, and if I had not gone to double check our room would not have been available for the extra day we were forced to spend there. This experience gave us the impression that staff training was inadequate. There was no shampoo or any other amenities in the room when we arrived. We asked for some, and we had to go to the desk to get two small bottles of shampoo. The next day, the maid took one of the bottles, leaving us only one. On the plus side, the breakfast was good, the grounds surrounding the hotel were lovely and well kept. The dining room was light and pleasant. The hotel staff for the most part were friendly, and the hotel was pet friendly.

While the La Quinta Inn did have a great free breakfast which included fresh bagels,waffles, and an excellent choice of cerals and fruit, there were problems with the cleanliness of the room. The windows were so filthy, you could not see out of them. Also, the bathtub stopper did not work, so it was impossible to take a bath. An opened bottle of vodka was in the fridge. Could not get an answer at the front desk to request a wake-up call the night before my departure. Tried calling for an hour. Could not go down stairs to see if anyone was even at the desk because I just got out of the shower and was packing. Had to phone the main office of La Quinta headquartes. They were gracious enough to have someone from their office give me a wake-up call at 5:30 AM. If you're a woman traveling alone, it is not comforting to know if there's an emergency you can't get help at the front desk. Did find the staff very nice and friendly. The Galleria is more than the distance posted in their site, but you can still walk to it.

The front desk staff were wonderful folks and very nice. However, be advised that you can hear EVERYTHING from the neighboring rooms as well as the front lobby and hallways. The sound of various toilets flushing all night did get very bothersome.

The sink, toilet and shower all had problems. The water drained so slowly that the bathtub would fill up even when you take a quick shower. This was a minor inconvenience. The unfriendliness of the staff was more vexing. There was a young woman at the desk who made it clear she did not like working and dealing with people. She was rude and made it clear she did not care whether you were happy with her service or not. Upon check-out, I asked a desk clerk for a customer satisfaction survery and it was not surprising when he could not find one anywhere.

The stay in this hotel is wonderful! Everyone is nice and the hotel is so clean! I love the size of the room and showers were wonderful! The outside pool and hot tub were clean and good temps! I only stay at this hotel when I go to the Gallieria area! which can be a bit $$$ but not here! this helps so i can spend money else where but have a wonderful place to rest at!

We checked in around 10:00 PM and promptly got our room. The room was big, clean, and comfortable. The only problem was when the maid came by on morning, we asked her to "come back a little later" as we were leaving soon. the room was never made up. The front desk apologized and I was able to get some clean towels and a small discount, so no major problem. The breakfast was the standard complimentary stuff most places have, but was very good. Public areas in and out of the hotel are very nice and clean. I would definetly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the galleria area without paying the high prices of the full service high rises.

The main reason for choosing this hotel was that it was very close to The Galleria area.Since I do not drive cars in cities I do not know, this fact was a plus. We walked around a lot and still enjoy the main touristical points of the city. The hotel was clean and comfy. The room was larger than I expected. Maybe a bigger bathroom would have been better, but the view to the coty compensate for it. I also was able to use my laptop enjoying free internet and we swam in the warm pool and enjoyed the jacuzzi. The hotel did not have bathrobes, I think they should have some for the jacuzzi swimming pool area. My son did notn want to pack one to avoid the bulk, but he was disapointed they did not have any available for the guests. Closet area and dresser had plenty of storage room. I wished they had room service, since we were not driving we had to leave the comfortable swimming pool area, get dressed and go to a restaurant at night. The ydo not have a kitchen, but they could have agreements with close by restaurants to order over the phone. Overall a great experience.

I like the location to down town and the view. I was very well please with my stay. Good and safe area to stay. Access to highway for easy traveling.

I was very pleased with the cleanliness and presentation of the room. We arrived late Friday, just presented an ID and Visa and then proceeded to the room. It was huge, very clean and comfortable! I would definitely return, and appreciate all the comments the other travelers have left so I was able to choose this location without worry.

Stayed overnight in Houston, exceptionally clean room, excellent air conditioner, cold room. Clean bed and sheets. Front desk clerk not too savvy giving directions, overall excellent value for location. Very close to Galleria Mall.

The location was very convenient to the Galleria area. The room did not seem to be the quality expected for the price. The hotel is located very conveniently to the Galleria area, and it has very easy access to the interstates without being too noisy. My room was average, but I was very disappointed with the bathroom plumbing. I also had a staff member intrude into my room without knocking or announcing himself on my last morning at 8 AM. Overall, I would say it's not what I expected for the price, but it did feel safe & it has the potential to be a very nice hotel.

Nice pool area. Room not ready, air did not cool room. Our room had not been cleaned when we checked in at midnight, so we were moved to another room. The air did not work properly so we spent the night in a very hot room and had to move again the next day. Very bad experience!

Convenient location, good breakfast selections. The halls, lobby and other common areas were freezing. Bad traffic area. The parking was convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast selections were excellent. The halls, lobby and other common areas were uncomfortably cold. The hotel is located in a heavily trafficked area of Houston, on the access road of an exceedingly busy freeway. At certain times of day it is difficult to get to the hotel without long traffic delays.
