Great rooms. Good hotel andwould stay there again.
Date of Stay:
April, 2008
The room was fithy! The bathroom walls were moldy, and we are pretty sure that thesheets had not been changed. On top of that, the pillows smelled of dirty dog...They had a side door that they wanted you to take your pet out and in, instead of coming through the lobby. Then we discovered that the door would not open from the outside. We were stuck far away from the lobby outside in the cold after walking the dog. Then the staff told us, ""Yes. That door isn't working. But that's the door that you will have to use."" That was more than a hassle, it didn't seem safe.

Very clean and modern. Eggs at breakfast weren't good. The La Quinta Inn & Suites in Dalton, GA was excellent. The La Quinta Inn & Suites chain should look to this property as an example of what a La Quinta should look and feel.
Date of Stay:
August, 2006
Very friendly front desk staff. Room was very large, but lacked a bit in cleanliness (but hey, I did score a lost kid's toy from behind the end table while looking for an outlet). For being next to two very busy roads, it was actually fairly quiet. I would actually stay here again, but they really need to work on their vacuuming skills *a lot*. TV remote was missing and clock radio was partially broken.
Date of Stay:
January, 2008
The lobby was the only thing. The room was outdated, bathroom had leftover hair in shower, carpet was sticky, window did not lock. The hotel was in somewhat of renovation process. I didn't know however if they planned on remodeling the rooms. When I called and asked about the rooms I was told they were great. I strongly disagree. The hotel staff needs to not disagree with one another in front of guests. I know they were young, however they need to either have someone older on shift with them or learn how to better handle problems that they face when they arise.
Date of Stay:
December, 2007
Hotel was being remolded and was very convenient because of this. This hotel should not have been rated a 21/2 star hotel while it was being remodeled. After the construction it would then rate the 21/2 stars.
Date of Stay:
December, 2007
Very friendly staff. Good, full breakfast in am. Extensive construction throughout. Noise. Paint. Move car 3 times. This would be an average 2.5 star hotel without the construction workers jamming the breakfast bar at 7:30 am and hammering and Nail guns going off at 8 am and continuing into the darkness at night. And the large amounts of drywall dust.

Lobby area was nice. Elevators were filthy hotel was under remodeling conditions. Walls very thin and room was noisy. Beds were very uncomfortable. I was very disappointed in the hotel. Very uncomfortable beds, noisy. We could hear the vacuum running two rooms away from us. Television noise through walls. Construction banging at 8:00am on a Saturday morning. Price/value ratio was very poor. Will not stay here again. The bitterness of poor quality lasts long after the sweetness of low price has faded.

Very quiet during the night. Small double beds. This was a great place to stay the night while on the road.
Date of Stay:
September, 2007
Had a good Jacuzzi. Was a little dark.
Date of Stay:
March, 2007
Bed was comfortable, pretty clean room. Chair had a huge rip in it, walls in need of repair, and holes in them. It was not a typical Wingate hotel by any means. The room was battered, huge hole in the chair; walls were damaged and had not been repaired or even painted over.
Date of Stay:
February, 2007
Nice people working there and very clean. Nothing to report. My experience here was excellent. I will go there again. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean. I would tell anyone to go there.
Date of Stay:
October, 2006
The room was well equipped. There was no communication between shifts. My late arrival wasn't relayed and my reservation cancelled. I guess this was an ok hotel for Dalton, GA. I usually stay at the Wingate in Buckhead and love it. It isn't Buckhead it's Dalton. I would have expected a little more. The Wingate might generally be a three star hotel. This location is a 1 1/2.

Breakfast. Quality of the bed. The Wingate Inn Dalton provides upscale amenities and clean accommodations with a convenient location.

Can't think of one. Feels used. Hallway was humid and hot. Very disappointed with this hotel build for "business travelers". It needs attention.
Date of Stay:

Large rooms. Room smelled like it used to be a smoking room. Great location, staff, and room.
Date of Stay:

Convenience. None. Staff was very pleasant. Access to the interstate was excellent with dining facilities close by.

Clean and comfortable, great breakfast but with the time change that Sunday it was cut short so they didn't refill milk and other things. Elevator ran slow. As I said clean and comfortable, well worth staying here again.
Date of Stay:
January, 2006
Very comfortable, clean, and up to the star rating it carries. They need those lovely down comforters! Have no complaints at all about this hotel - very inviting lobby, nice rooms, staff was considerate and helpful and check-in and out went smoothly.
Date of Stay:
December, 2005
Was surprised at the quality & variety offered at the complimentary breakfast. Nothing negative to mention. Stayed with spouse and 2 daughters, room was large enough for 4 people to maneuver comfortably. Lobby was decorated very nice for the Holidays. Very Clean!
