We were in Chicago to see our son graduate from USN RTC. This is our second time, so we knew what to plan for. This hotel was in a great location near Six Flaggs, Gurnee Mall, Waukegan beach, and Great Lakes RTC. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The check in was a breeze, the room was very big and comfortable (king w/ sleeper), the shower was awesome. Indoor pool great, but was out of commission after the first day. Though there were people with dogs, a volleyball team etc our room was directly in front of the elevator, but noise was not a problem at all. Great place definitely worth it.

Clean and had a friendly staff. It was clean, convienent, breakfast was nice in the morning. Nice pool for the kids.

We came to see our son's boot camp graduation at the Naval Recruitment Base and stayed at this hotel. Every one was nice, and the room was clean and very comfortable. Ivan was on evening duty, and he was a great help when we needed to change our room because of a problem with the window. Enjoyed the breakfast. The only negative was the king size bed because it sagged on one side.

we selected this hotel based on previous reviews and were glad we did. we found the staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, and the kids really enjoyed the pool. we were two minuets from six flags and the hotel is located in the midst of several restaurants. we were also five minuets from gurnee mills, our other stop on this trip. loved it

Came for six Flags and a Dog show. Was treated with the best possible service and courtesy. Great location, right next to Six Flags, walking distance. The experience was better than a motel charging twice this much. THANK YOU!

Belgian waffles. Mold around pool, coffee only at breakfast.

Front staff was very helpful. One of the best buget hotels I have stayed in. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast had standard fare but loved the waffles you make yourself.

Staff was really helpful and friendly, breakfast was good, and they were very willing to accommodate the giant Uhaul truck I had with my car on a trailer behind it. There were lots of food options right there with the hotel too-not just fast food.

Close to theme park. Noisy and smoky. Was just okay.

We went for our son's Naval Graduation. Very convienent for getting to the base each day. With the Naval Graduation Discount it was very affordable as we stayed for 4 days. The staff was Awesome and so helpful. We would recommend this Hotel.

On the last day of my trip my digital camera was stolen from the room while I was out for the day and had specifically asked that the cleaning service not enter my room. The only pictures of my boyfriend's Navy bootcamp graduation were on that camera. In all honesty, this hotel was clean and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It was a good value for the price and I would have enjoyed my stay without this incident. Losing my camera and ESPECIALLY my only pictures of such an important time with my loved one was not worth the cheap price.

Nice room, breakfast OK, staff friendly. Pets are allowed, Slight urine odor in parts of hallway. The room was clean and very nice for a 2 star rated facility. The continental breakfast was adequate with hot and cold choices. The hallway carpeting needs to be cleaner and I detected a faint urine odor in part of the hallway. It is a pet friendly hotel and I assume that's where the smell came from.

Very nice staff, room very clean, great Free breakfast. This was very affordable hotel and location was very close and easy to get to the Naval base, the mall &many restuarant selections close by. The front staff even helped guide us into the area from the O'hare airport. Lots of families stayed the wkend we did & enjoyed the pool, too.

the staff was very professional and efficient. check -in was a breeze and the room was above expectation for the price...simple, nice and clean and the location was totally a vacation haven. you got the gurnee mall across the highway, restaurant all around the area from a simple burger king to red lobster and six flag theme park all in walking distance......................very much recommended for family vacation....

I liked the walking distance proximity to Six Flags Great America. Crappy cable TV, low shower head, analog stick broken on in-room video game controller. Great location, generally pleasant. Walking distance from Six Flags Great America and a number of neighboring restaurants. Continental breakfast is passable. Overall a good stay, but there were little gripes to be had.

After reading different reviews I scrabbled to get new reserv. elsewhere, glad they didn't pan out, we were very pleased with this hotel. Could use another elevator and breakfast can use some variety!

The breakfast buffet was great and it was super close to Six Flags. For the price, I have no complaints, but the breakfast buffet should be open later. We got this hotel for a great price for our trip to Six Flags great America, the hotel is 8 miles away (about a five minute drive). The hotel offers a breakfast buffet and has a nice pool.

"Wow! The LaQuinta Inn in Gurnee is in a great location! Great food right outside the door, six flags next door and all the shopping you could ask for right across the street! It was also really close to the Naval Base so it was convenient to pick up and deliver our sailor right on time!"

Nice pool, nice breakfast area. The road construction was poorly marked, I didn't see the decor.
