Date of Stay:

The only unsatisfactory problem is that the room didn't smell well.

Clean, good mattresses. Location was very complicated to get to as we returned each night by car. A very good value for the money.

We were VERY happy with La Quinta in Somerville, MA. The hotel was clean, had free Internet, a free breakfast every morning, exercise facilities, and a complimentary shuttle to the "T" (subway). We got all of that for a fraction of the price of a big name hotel in the City of Boston. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was fine, nice large rooms compared to other hotels just 3 miles away toward the downtown area. Good breakfast with both lunch and dinner available at a restaurant adjacent to the hotel.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable and quiet. I would stay at this hotel again. It was clean and quiet- both very important to me. Breakfast was served but we did not eat at the hotel. It was close to our destination and we felt comfortable in the neighborhood.

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and courteous. Love that parking & very neat breakfast room was included. Just 2 miles from some great shopping.

We just needed a place for one night. We did not arrive till 9pm, we got lost in Boston and called. The front desk was very helpful giving directions. Breakfast was good, extra points for the waffle irons. They did not have wifi, but had a wired internet connection that worked just fine.

Great breakfast. Nothing. Easy to get to. 99 restaurant across the parking lot. Great breakfast. Laundry area helps out. Comfy beds.

Beautiful facility, pleasant stay. Unexpected plus was the shopping ctr. next door. Specifically booked due to shuttle pickup & delivery at the T--other hotels only take you to the airport to catch the train and will not take you to the nearest station. However, there was a mixup the morning of our departure. We boarded the shuttle expecting to be taken to the airport, but it went to Mass. Gen. Hospital where other passengers got off. The driver explained that the hotel had a different shuttle that went to the airport and we were supposed to have signed up at the front desk. He was very nice about it and dropped us at the T a few blocks away (blue line direct to airport -- no changing trains)

I stayed here for an event held at Boston Convention Center. I took the courtesy shuttle to and from the airport and took the bus ($2) to get to the convention center. It worked out pretty good (about 30min total). The only downside is that the shuttle only leaves the motel on the clock, so you may end up waiting at the airport for a while to get picked up. Overall, I think this is the most fast and convenient way to get to the convention center. I never went to and from the downtown area using T, so I cannot speak for the subway, but it if you are planning to walk from the train station to the hotel, its quiet a bit of walk in a sketchy street (with high way and industrial-ish neighborhood). I once took a cab from China town, cost about $25. Room was great, I went in the winter, so the room was really warm (I can see how other reviewer wrote it could get really hot in the summer). Food is good, with waffle, bananas & oranges, yogurt, and pasties. Staff are helpful, and the business center has printers to print boarding pass and such.

Located next to 99 restaurant good food easy access. Breakfast started too late for me at 7am.

my family and i traveled to boston but discovered the hotels downtown were outrageously priced, so we opted for a surrounding city. we chose somerville and stayed at the la quinta inn and suites, it was great!! the breakfast was complimentary and they had a very healthy selection of foods. the staff was very helpful and gave us pre-printed directions and answered any and all questions we had... and there were many!! i had a great experience and recommend la quinta-somerville to those who would like to spend their money wisely and have a great vacation!

The LaQuita Hotel was adequate for our needs. We used the shuttle to the T line which was very efficient. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with directions, dinner options etc. The hotel is however, quite old. It is in need of some major renovations. In our room there was a hole in the wall where the door had hit it. The bathroom wallpaper had been repaired and hung upside down. It appeared to be clean. The breakfast was standard fare, ceral, waffles etc. As I said it was adequate for our needs but I would stay somewhere else next time.

Included buffet breakfast was a plus. Bed very comfortable. Didn't like that not being able to open the window, but we understand the need to keep environment clean, & uniform. Good value. City location did not allow for walking the neighborhood, but it worked well for our purposes.

Great breakfast. Great service, friendly staff. Convenience was awesome. Took us in shuttle downtown to a local restaurant. Took Shuttle to subway station, close by and simple and inexpensive to use to come and go into Boston at will.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and the frequent, FREE, shuttle service to quick subway/train downtown made this stay both stress free and a financial TREASURE!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Comfortable beds, helpful staff, lots of space in the king suite. Free parking is great but hotel is off the beaten track-hotel has shuttle, but a little inconvenient. Terrific value with the free breakfast and parking. King suite roomy and bed very comfortable. Easy to find, and if you plan to drive, it is adjacent to Rte. 93 which gives quick access to Boston. A little inconvenient if not driving.

Good Value. Significantly less than downtown hotels. Clean. Quiet. Shuttle service to nearby subway station worked good. You can walk to the subway, but it's about 3/4 of a mile. Shuttle also goes downtown to Mass Gen Hosp if you don't want to use the subway. No shuttle on return trips. If your coming back after dark you probably will want to take a cab rather than the subway. Cab from TD Garden was $15 including tip. Cab from Harvard was about the same. Cab from Airport was $32. Cab from Fenway was $20. Shuttle goes back to the airport. Free breakfast was good. Strip mall [K Mart] nearby was OK. Adjacent resturant, named 99, was good. We did not have a car. If you have a car the free parking would be very important. Other guests seemed to be tourists, families of patients at MGH, out of state College sports teams visiting local colleges for games / tournaments.

Not much value for the money. Dissappoainted in room, ammenties and timelyness in getting from airport to hotel with the hotel shuttle.

Very good for the price. No complaints about the hotel or service.
