Very good location. Nice hotel for what I needed it for.

This hotel is badly in need updating and repair. The pool area was dirty and the buildings themselves looked very run down. When we checked in we were not informed of any problems with our room but as soon as we tried to use the toilet we found out that they were having plumbing problems. They assured us they would be corrected shortly. After 41/2 hours we still did not have a usable toilet. It was a hotel wide problem so we could not change rooms. At our insistence the front desk staff got us another room at a different La Quinta in town. The front desk staff were very helpful and polite, but I would not recommend this location until much needed improvements are made.

If your employer is paying the tab, the Embassy Suites is right down the street a few blocks. This is NOT the Embassy Suites. On the other hand, the price is right. I just needed a crash pad for a few nights while relocating to a new job in Huntsville. The staff is friendly, helpful, and reasonably competent. The room was nothing to get excited about, but it was safe, convenient, and easy to access (compared to large hotels where you have to use the elevator to get to the n-th floor with all your bags, etc.). Ice maker worked, which is a plus. Breakfasts are better at other places, but this one has waffles, bagles, cereal, & fruit - enough to get you started. For the price, I didn't expect crepes or eggs florentine. All in all, if you'll be in Huntsville, this is a good, inexpensive place to stay. If you're picky and used to staying at places like Embassy Suites, you'd better pony up the money and stay at the Embassy Suites. . . nobody likes a whiner.

Pool wasn't open and that's one reasonI chose this hotel. Bathroom dirty. Half the staff was nice half rude and couldn't get extra pillows or use the pool.

I was sent to Huntsville for work, and my company put me up in this dump. Things wrong: 1. Internet didnt work 2. No shampoo or soap 3. Towels had stains 4. Floor was dirty, and wasnt clean. 5. TV was blurry on most channels 6. Almost every noise from outside is heard clearly in the room. 7. Nob on the thermostat was broken off, causing me to have to use pliers to adjust the temperature. 8. Stains on the floor .... I could go on, but I can only use up to 100 words. La Quinta: ""Its like camping, only more expensive""

I did not like this hotel's management or lack of management.

Breakfast area has Health Rating of 75 which is barely passing. Toilet leaked and was noisy all night, complained to no avail. Drive under canopy: pavement is oil laden and I busted my rear when I got out of my vehicle and the staff was completely unconcerned. This is a bad area of town, there are much nicer hotels for the money that are just as close to the center. Also we complained to the travel agency who kept us on the phone for 2 hours and did nothing. We also complained to LaQuinta. NEVER EVER STAY HERE!!!

We got a great deal just before the labor day weekend. Our actual room w/ the double bed was overbooked, but the front desk was friendly and gave us the king sized w/ no extra charge. It was located between 2 shopping malls and easy to get to. We had our dog with us and there wasn't a charge for him to stay which was nice. When leaving, our dog even locked us out by pushing on the door. Thanks to the friendly room service lady she let us in so that we could get on our way!

"I was very dissatisfied the room it was small and had no microwave or fridge. I had to buy a cooler. I later paid to go to another hotel, The Hampton Inn and there I was very pleased."

I liked the price of the hotel and the waffles at breakfast.

"The breakfast was satisfying and the rooms were clean, however, the internet did not work for most of our trip, and neither the front desk nor tech support could help; the windows were covered in only thin sheers so that streetlights shone in all night; the TV only about 6 channels and did not always work; there was no shampoo or soap; the people were friendly but didn?t seem to know what they doing; and the bathroom locks didn?t work. It wasn?t bad enough to bother changing our reservation, but I would rather have booked somewhere else. "

It was very clean and staff was very friendly. It did not have a fridge or microwave. I loved the hotel, it was a nice room, very clean. The only thingI didn't like is that is a little inconvenient having a six month old and no microwave or fridge for heating and storing bottles. Other than that it was overall a very nice stay.

The hotel was clean but the vending machines and the tv movies did not work. The room han no phone book or bible. It was ok but there are better hotels for the same price.

Parking was just a little tight. Hotel lobby seemed to be neat and clean - if you looked close you could see that it was showing it's age, but owners seemed to be trying to maintain. Room was clean, bath area (counters, sink, toilet, tub, tile, linens) were clean and neat - but still showing their age. Bed could use a little help. It was a bit noisy for a short while only because there were some military personell that arrived and they were out having a good time. One time occurrence.
