We booked this hotel from hotels.com and received confirmation for the 3 nights we booked. Got there late at night and were unable to close the curtains. All u can close are the sheer ones and everybody can look into you room. Went to the space center the next day and came back in the late afternoon tired and ready to take a nap.No room service , beds not made and no fresh towels or empty waste baskets. Got a call from somebody at the front desk about 45 minutes later " no name given" stating she does not know who we are and the room is to be unoccupied and she wanted mu name. I advised her to have a manger call me .Next there was a LOUD continuous bang on the door, almost took it of the hinges and some female yelled at my husband who opened the door that she is the manager and he better tell her who we are or she will call the Sheriff. My husband explained our reservation the mgr stated she had us down for only 1 night. When they called the front desk they were informed that they had 2 nights reservation but not the 3rd. So why were we bothered by this RUDE person ? Nobody from either the customer service or the reservation could explain this. We checked out in the time it took to make the phone calls. There was no guarantee the same issue would not happen when 3rd shift arrived. DO NOT STAY AT ANY LA QUINTA HOTEL THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my 30 years of military traveling I have never stayed at any accommodations this bad. For starters, the room was not ready at checkin time. The desk accepted the Government exemption for the taxes, but charged the taxes anyway stating that the total price was within per diem and we shouldn't worry about it. Sure the Government is picking up the tab, but it's our tax money being used to pay. Along those lines, on the internet the Government rate was listed as $55.00 per night, but if you are AARP or AAA you get it for $49.50. I was charged the Government rate of $59.00 (but it's within per diem). We were also told that the "La Quinta way" is to change the rates and the rates had changed (but we were still within per diem). The first morning I had no hot water after letting the water run for at least 10 minutes non stop. Reported this to the desk, had hot water that evening and next day. On the third morning again no hot water. Requested a change of rooms and was given a new key. Opened the door to new room and found a cup containing melting ice, a carry out food container, full of bones and BBQ sauce, in the trash can and a used wash cloth in the sink. Went back to the desk to report that someone was in or had been in the room. The clerk said that the room was unoccupied, but she would report what was found to her manager. I was then given a second room key and an offer for a couple of free movies. I declined the offer and proceeded to check out this rooms condition. Finally something acceptable, for only one night remaining. The TV in this room would turn itself on, the remote didn't work so you had to get up to turn it off/on/change channels etc. The bathroom floor was sticky, I hope from whatever was used to clean it! But, who knows, didn't go barefooted anywhere in any of the rooms. The lady at the desk was only a worker, she did the best she could given her position at the desk. The manager has no people skills and is only in it for the buck. Charges as much as she can get away with and state "it's within per diem" when questioned. She actually wanted to show us a book with Alabama state law showing she could charge the taxes. Why accept the Tax Exemption Letter if you are not going to honor it? I Will never again use La Quinta traveling with the Government or during my own travels.

The hotel was what one would expect in that price range. The room smelled, the bathroom was kind of gross. There was a very nice pool and it was close to shopping and eating. The front desk staff was very nice.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Had some trouble with plumbing, but was taken care of in timely manner. Bathrooms could have been more updated and better working. Hotel was very clean, very quiet, probably the quietest I have ever been in. Needs attention to the bathroom area. Sink drain did open completely and water would not drain. Bathtub faucet was not working well, however staff took care of the problem very quickly.

After driving almost 11 hours to get to the hotel, they could not give me a room for three adults as agreed. The clerk asked if I wanted to cancel the room and I explained you can't provide the service agreed upon and yes, cancel. I had to go to the Country Inn and Suites next door and pay ** for a room.Upon my return home I checked my account and ** was taken out for the room at La Quinta. I contacted the on line website and explained what transpired and was told the money would be returned.

The hotel fitted my purpose for an in/out personal trip. Did not really need to spend a lot of time there other than to sleep and get dressed for an event.

Pool was green, broken stairs, mildew in shower, andawful. This hotel says it was remodeled. However, the first two rooms they put us in had broken air conditioners, and when we finally moved to a room with a functioning air conditioner, it was in the back of the building where they had not done any remodeling. There were broken stairs (not very safe), and the pool was disgusting! The bathroom has mildew and smelled of mold. The best thing about the hotel stay was leaving.

was difficult to get a good night rest. the mini-refrigerator hummed loudly, the A/C was also very noisy not to mentioned too close to one of the beds making that side of the room too cold but the far side very hot. the carpeted floor near the A/C was constantly wet, which of course made the room smell. for some strange reason the full size beds did not seemed full size but rather large twins comfortable for one person but not for two. the bathroom was a loud noisy event that we all regret. the flushing was something I never heard before ! a super sonic loud rocket flush that would wake up everyone in the room. the TV would get a limited amount of channels where 8 of of 10 were set on red tones. the pool was ok once I overcame the gross feeling of seating on those stain chairs. It Great location! at a walking distance to good restaurants and shopping centers.

Clean room, comfortable beds, quiet stay, coffeemaker. No refrigerator. The room was clean - very clean. The only thing I could have wished for was a refrigerator in the room. There was a coffeemaker and an iron in the small closet. Our stay was quiet and this hotel is right by a Denny's restaurant. I would stay there again if I was in Huntsville.

"I was sent to a non-smoking room after reserving a smoking room. The ice machine was not working The internet did not work No phone book in the room to order dinner The hot water handle in the tub fell off in my hand, with the water running!"

The first room I was assigned smelled bad. The staff quickly got me situated in a different room, which was better. However, it was at the end of the building and I couldn't get wifi in the room. I had to go to the lobby to get on the internet. Also, there were little things that were in disrepair, like the phone cord kept popping out of the back of the phone, and lamps positioned where there weren't enough power outlets, so you had to choose between the lamp or the coffee maker. The staff were very pleasant, and tried hard to be helpful. Unfortunately they never did seem to get the wifi problem sorted out.

My fiance and I came to huntsville to get away for a few days on vacation. We planned on making it a romantic trip, but wanted to save money on a hotel, so we chose this location @ $65 a night. The problems with it abound: -Poor staffing/ staff training: I checked in Sunday night but was not processed in the computer until Monday - Room cleanliness- Bootprints on bathroom floor, stains on carpet, stained linens on one bed - Room functionality- Lamps were not plugged in, 2 TV stations did not come in, Shower water never stayed at a good temperature for more than a minute. WIFI internet didn't work until final day of stay Room replenishment- Dirty towels were removed, but no clean were left in their place, had to ask twice for fresh towels. No extra bottles of shampoo or bars of soap were provided either. Service- Had to request twice for a stopped up toilet to be unclogged, and the staff argued when i went down to ask them over who would come and do it. This first required them searching for 15 minutes for a plunger, and then calling other staff members at home to find out where the plunger was. Asked for the stained linens on the bed to be changed, all the cleaning staff did was make the bed back up with the same dirty linens. Breakfast quality- not any real variety at all. 2 juice flavors, coffee, and milk. cereal, bagels, waffles, prepackaged danishes that looked like they would have come out of a rest stop snack machine, and hard boiled eggs that looked a week old. I did not see any fruit.

My son graduated from Redstone Arsenal. My stay was pleasant except for leaky bathroom.Floor was soaked 1st morning.I was busy running to son's grad so I didn't say anything because it was mopped up.2nd day I mentioned leak needed repairing. They changed shower curtain to a brighter curtain but did not repair leak.3rd day I told them I wanted to stay an extra (4th) night but leak needed repaired. They moved me to another room.I felt because I was prepaid for the 1st 3 nights I was put into the room with the leaky bathroom. It was obvious that the leak had been going on for a long while. The paint had peeled away from the vent.Towels were soaked every morning.

Price. Dirty, nonworking outlets in room. If you are just looking for price, the room was reasonable. Both sets of outlets, in the vanity area, didn't work, so I had to dry my hair by the television. The bathtub faucet handles were falling off and the water pressure was almost nonexistent. Staff was very friendly, though.

The first room we were assigned smelled strongly of mildew. The paint was coming off of the walls, there were water stains on the ceiling, and the room was not clean. We were given another room, which was dated but at least we could breath. The carpet was filthy, and the tub and bathroom floors were stained, and there was a moldy smell. The facility is old and there is a definite mold problem that is not being masked well enough with paint. The staff is friendly and obliging, and the breakfast is O.K., but was not well stocked. The LaQuinta Inn next door didn't look much better. I rely and appreciate these reviews, and I would never stay here again. I would recommend the Hampton Inn across the street or the Fairfiled Inn about 1/2 mile west. They cost about $* more a night, but well worth it because of the cleanliness alone.

This was a very good hotel, a 3 star in my estimation, with only a ding in the breakfast category.

New carpet, new bed was awesome (perfectly firm.) Renovation was in progress. The microwave and fridge added to the convenience. The renovations were excellent. The people were friendly and accommodating. It was an excellent choice for my business trip.
