The only thing that was very dissatisfying was the cab company that they arranged a ride to the airport with had no meter and was a total rip-off. They should deal with more ethical businesses to get customers back.

They allowed me to smoke on the balcony. They tried to charge me for free parking. Actually most of it was good. It was clean and tidy but the shower spewed water everywhere. My biggest complaint was that they charged for parking when 2 (1 of their own) publications said free parking.

Everything was very nice - location, cleanliness, personnel, price, etc. I highly recommend. The only down side -- there are no "smoking" rooms, but, hey, they do have rooms for animals.

One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was that it said "Free Parking." However, when we got there we found out this was not true, they do charge for parking. In addition, the breakfast left a great deal to be desired; they would have toast, but no butter. My husband spent his breakfast time searching for items and restocking what they did have, because there was no employee there to do that. We just felt like we did not get what we paid for.

We had never stayed in old town before and I must say that it was an excellent stay there. La Quinta was ofcourse a great choice as well. The hotel staff was cordial and the overall stay was just perfect for us.

Walking distance to San Diego Old Town Noise level by Interstate and Airport Staff was friendly. Rooms small, but clean. Pool area was nice. Free Wi-Fi. Free continental breakfast with waffle maker. We were initially assigned a room on the Interstate/Airport side of the hotel. It was very noisy. We switched to a room on the other side of the hotel and it was much quieter. Nice pool, and a couple of blocks from Old Town San Diego. Great access to airport and cruise ship pier, although cab rides were still $15-$20 from the airport to hotel and from hotel to pier.

the parking spaces in this hotel were very small. the only cars that fit are small cars. there are not enough parking for all the guest so i had to park my car outside around the corner. i really didn't feel that my car was safe because it was in the street.

San Diego is wonderful, and La Quinta Inn Old Town was in a great location to stay in to enjoy it all. Within walking distance to good restaurants and public transportation to downtown to avoid parking downtown. Close to Highway 5 and airport. Clean room, comfortable beds, helpful staff. Ask for a room not facing the road to avoid traffic noise. We were in the back and never heard any street noise, even with our window open. No fast food or grocery stores near, but we couldn't find those anywhere we traveled in San Diego. While staying there, we visited SD Zoo, Legoland, Mission Beach, LaJolla, Torrey Pines Park, Coronado Island, and downtown San Diego--all easy to get to from the hotel.Great vacation!

Conveniently located short distance from many attractions and quick walk to Old Town. Try to get a room that doesn't face the Interstate.

It was very clean and close to attractions. NA. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

This hotel is in a wonderful location. EASY to get anywhere in San Diego area from here. View is of the highway and industrial buildings though. No road noise unless you open the window. Within walking distance of a variety of restaurants (try Rockin' Baja Lobster in Old Town). Heated pool and hot tub are nice. Can tell the hotel is older, but our room had a recent makover. New carpet and bedding. Mattresses were OK. Room has fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Breakfast was fresh fruit, muffins, dry cereal, juice, milk, coffee. Underground parking is limited, spaces are very tight. Our toilet was plugged, called the front desk, and their response was to come to the door, hand US the plunger and leave -- not the kind of customer service I would expect from any level of hotel.

It was in walking distance of the MTA and Old Town. The pool and Jacuzzi were under repair. The rooms were equivalent to Motel 6. The breakfast was not good. Close to the freeway, have freeway sound, tight all parking spaces for compact size. The pool and Jacuzzi under repair. Good for one night stay and then check out.

everything was close by so we walked everywhere. they gave you a map that really helped and saved time.

The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were neat and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was friendly. Free parking. We swam several times and enjoyed the hot tub and the pool. My wife and son liked the breakfast every morning. The location was close to every thing we wanted. I selected this hotel from all good reviews on Tarvelocity, they were right on!

The staff was very friendly. Our bathroom sink overflooded.

Close to MCRD. The parking spaces are tight. Just plain need air out.

The room is decent size, bed is comfortable, linen clean. Parking garage very tight and dangerous. Hotel entrance is easy to miss, entrance to garage dangerous, parking spaces too narrow, charge for parking is unreasonable.

Great Hotel...very ...very....very...clean. I have stayed in some very expensive hotels....and they havn't been this clean. Would have liked to buy some sundrys...ie razors...more shampoo...but overall...I would stay again

Friendly staff, clean, convenient location central. Rooms small, very close to freeway and exit ramp, noisy. If you request a room for two adults, do not assume they are going to give you single beds.
