The hotel was completely booked the night we stayed. Our first room was located over a couple of barking dogs and we had to ask to be moved. The only room available was a smoking room. We asked for the smoking room to be sprayed with air freshiner and it was done within about 5 minutes! The staff was super and very helpful. It was noisy because we were near the pool (and it was packed) and the doors just weren't that great. The room could have been cleaner because the mirror was smoke residue covered. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't want to stay more.

I didn't feel that it was located in a good area! I did not stay at the hotel. I did drive down there, but was not pleased with the area so I did not even get out to see what the hotel was like. I ended up driving back to Bossier City, La.

DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL!!!! I went to college at ULM and my parents and family would stay at this hotel. It was a great, inexpensive hotel to stay at and the best one in town. THAT WAS 20 YEARS AGO. Now, there is a sign out front of the LaQuinta that advertises weekly rates. This hotel should not be part of the chain. Guys, try the newer hotels on the Interstate. Spend the money because $** a night isn't worth it. The place was like the Titanic. Beautiful in the start but it sank in the end. It just took 20 years, not 4 hours. I know the other LaQuinta's aren't like this one. I do know that I will re-think staying at another one.

After an extremely unpleasant situation in Amarillo, TX with La Quinta, I was very skeptical about staying in Monroe at La Quinta. I was greeted by the night desk clerk (X) who was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and suited my needs and the price was reasonable. The location is a short distance from ULM where my daughter is a new student and was very convenient while getting her settled in on campus. The manager was at the desk at check out and was also very friendly. I won't hesitate to stay here again.

The La Quinta room was clean and somewhat comfortable. It is definitely a no frills hotel. The staff was friendly. I feel that I got what I paid for.

Front desk clerk was very friendly and personable. Loud people in other rooms or in parking lot. This hotel was by far the least clean from others we would have stayed in. I do not think I will stay here again or recommend it to others.

This had to be one of the worst hotels. The staff at the front desk was very rude and not friendly at all. We had evacuated from Lake Charles and had 4 rooms reserved. We checked out after 2 days but they billed my debit card for a full week for all 4 rooms- over $$$$. When I called to find out why, they could not give me an answer- they said I had to take it up with my bank. We arrived around 11:00 and check-in was not until 3:00. So we sat outside in the heat for awhile and then went into the lobby. We watched them giving out rooms right and left, so we went and asked if we could get at least one room and they said no. Finally after watching them give out more rooms and bugging them some more they finally gave us a room. Anytime we called the front desk for anything, they sounded like we were bothering them. The location was good as we weere right around the corner from a big mall. There was never any ice because most of the machines were not working.

The staff was very rude. Room smelled of mold/mildew. Roaches crawled on the wall. I pulled back the sheets and found hairs under the sheets. Overall very disgusting hotel.

This La Quinta is about average compared to other La Quintas I have booked. It was typical 'Motel clean'. Didn't care for the air conditioning, no manual control, only 'Auto' or 'fan'. The full size bed was comfortable enough for me, bring your own pillow. Don't know why sinks never seem to drain properly, this in one was no exception. The separate bath/comode and vanity result in a small comode area. The 1st morning there was no waffle mix available (a big disappointment). If there is one thing La Quinta does right it's the waffles for beakfast. The location is convenient to I20, close to a couple of large malls, easy to and from the airport. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's about a 5.

The layout and cleanliness of the room. The continental breakfast was unattended to, garbage full, coffee empty and supplies short.

Heater did not work. TV would not go off, No Internet support. Bathroom Dirty!!!

The La Quinta in Monroe was very quiet, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast they provided each morning more than qualifies for a continental breakfast. I looked the waffles and great variety. The pool was large and comfortable and provided space for relaxing and eating outside. One family was so comfortable they were even having a barbecue. I would definitely recommend this property.

The maid was very friendly, she let the kids help her. The front desk staff was unprofessional and breakfast crowded. The hotel rooms were very small, old and the beds were terribly uncomfortable. My husband and I are just getting over a sore back 3 days later and we're young and athletic.

I was surprised to find this hotel. Hotel was reasonably priced and the rooms were nicely maintained

Very friendly and helpful staff. No fitness room, very noisy room, low end breakfast. A clean, economical hotel for business travelers. Noisy environment with cars pulling up to your room during the night and hitting their horn alarms, and there is not much healthy on the breakfast menu. Great staff who are both friendly and helpful. Needs an upgrade and a fitness room.

Nothing. The motel is within a few hundred yards of a railroad crossing. If you don't want to sleep at night, the hotel is fine. It was fairly clean, but the trains came by every hour all night long.

Close to the mall. No privacy and random people walking by and talking outside. Not a place for a large family to stay and we found a man in our room when we got back from shopping.

Close off the highway. I arrived at 2am after driving all day and there were people by the pool still partying. Rude at the front desk. Breakfast was below my expectations. Rooms were not maintained.

Proximity to interstate and university. Bathroom light did not work and ants on the door when we left. I was not overly impressed with the hotel for the availability of the room, location of the hotel and the price. Also, I am not sure if the area is the safest as there seemed to be quite a bit of police activity near the hotel.

Fast and friendly service. That I had to ask for tissue and not enough towels for a family of four. I had to ask for more. I enjoy my stay always at LaQuinta. Good customer service and very convenient. I'll be staying there again.
