When a hotel says it has complimentary breakfast...they should have some fruit,a variety of cereals and This place did not. There was a paltry' plate of lower end sweetrolls, bagels bread. I stayed there 5-6 days and went to the breakfast 3 times. It was pitiful and when I asked they told me "We didn't get our food order." Also if you neede anything at night extra towel, plunger, etc. The person at front desk was alone so the client had to run up to the front desk and get whatever was needed.'On the other hand the young people manning the desk were very polite and kind.

bathroom too small. No other mirror in the room except bathroom. Very difficult to get ready with teenage girls. It was fair. The bed was uncomfortable. My husband is a big man and the bed bowed in the middle. For the money, it was less than adequate.

We were greeted by very nice people when we arrived. We were given 2 connecting rooms, they were very nice and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, slept great. The only complaint we had was after the first night one room was cleaned and the other wasn't, at all. We had to call the front desk to get clean towels, when we asked why the room wasn't cleaned they just said, " Oh, some people don't like their rooms cleaned when they stay 2 nights." We were not impressed with that.

Checking was fine...but it wasn't until then that I was informed of some sort of construction. Even then I wasn't given a clear description..just that "they would be working on that side of the parking lot" ?? Later in the week I had a knock on my door...it was some construction men asking if they could replace the dresser in my room...um okay?? Then each time I called down to the front desk (which I had to do numerous times) no one answered so I had to walk all the way down to the desk from the second floor because there were no elevators. We had received a call that I had left my credit card down there..which I hadn't...and when I went down to tell the clerk that I hadn't she told me she never called...again okay? I didn't know it was appropriate to call the guest a liar. And when I went down again for something else the same woman acted as if I was bothering her and she told me that she was swamped when I was the only person down there at the time. One day I had called for extra towels and a new bed sheet because a child had gotten sick and was told they would get someone up to my room. Two hours later...I had to seek out a housekeeper and get it from her. Many times we had to go and get our own towels and toilet paper, etc. The door did not shut tight...it had to be fully locked to get it to shut tightly....all in all I would say this was the worst hotel stay I have ever had.

Above and beyond customer service, high standard accommodation. I was expecting a basic budget accommodation for the price of this hotel; it far exceeded my expectations. The rooms have been recently refurbished to a standard much higher than the pricerange of the hotel rooms - clean, comfortable, well laid out, pillow top bed was a treat. The staff went above and beyond in making my stay convenient and pleasant - the shuttle driver helped me find local restaurants and the hotel gave me an extra late checkout which made all the difference before a long flight home. Lovely breakfast with waffles, boiled eggs, cereal, pastries. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

I was a little worried about booking this hotel after reading the other reviews but it was in great condition, clean, confortable. Near the airport and Mall of America. It was easy to find it, especially to someone who had never been to Minesota. If I decide to go back to Minesota I'll stay here.

Flew into Minneapolis and tried to call the motel for the complimentary shuttle, only to find out that it only runs until 1AM. We were advised to take a taxi and possible get reimbursed for the taxi ride. GPS in the taxi couldn't register the address so we paid for a longer trip as driver didn't know where he was going. In the morning, we discovered that there was no hot water in the shower or bathroom sink.

Convenient location. Smelled musty and had a well-used appearance inside, as though lots of student groups came through. Clean room, adequate space, but this hotel is well used with a musty smell. Good for the economy traveler. Needed a toilet plunger, front desk could not find one, said they would obtain one but never came with one. Nothing until morning; front desk help was not experienced.

The pictures you see on the web site are NOT the hotel you are booking. It was dirty, the staff were rude and very indifferant about the condition of their hotel. The place looks like a old nursing home that is being converted to a hotel. I booked it because I have had good luck with La Quintas in the past. This was like no other La Quinta I have ever seen. I refused to stay! Do yourself a favor and just look elsewhere.

One can tell that this La Quinta has been the very first hotel around the area. The complimentary breakfast was a joke. If you get there when it opens there is slim pickings afterwards. Many customers came down to nothing but coffee, there was no juice, the bakery & apples were gone. The mattress slumped in the center, my husband had a backache in the morning. So glad we weren't going to stay any longer than the one night.

Nicely remodeled, great continental breakfast and very affordable. There wasn't a thing.

This hotel was an excellent value for the monty with a free shuttle to and from airport and Mall of America. Most hotel employees were cheerful and helpful. Those that weren't were the rare exception and after I handled them with politeness they quickly became nice also (those were only 2 out of many). Housekeeping could use improvement as they aren't thorough enough in stayovers. They should realize these are the guests who may come back or not! The free shuttle was great as I don't drive at all! The continental breakfast was good but lacking fresh fruit. They had everything else even waffles! They had bagels, pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and canned fruit cocktail and more. They are in process of remodeling. I got a cheap deal because they're under renovation but lucked out and got a room that was already done. The new room was very nice. But just as I said, Housekeeping seems to brush and promise a stayover. However, when I checked in the room was excellently cleaned.

The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, but the wireless service was spotty and almost non-existent and La Quinta's technical support was not able to resolve the problem after 3 days and several hours on the phone. The front desk staff was as helpful as they could be.

The shower and the hardwood floors. The outward appearance. The hotel was a great buy and could not be beaten price-wise. The hotel staff was accommodating and friendly.

This hotel was filthy and smelled like cigar, cigarette smoke and other things! The room was just ok.. i did wonder if the sheets were clean when I pulled down the bedspread. The bottom sheet did not stay on the bed. I had to stuff towels under the connecting door to the room next to me because cigarette smoke was seeping into my room! The bath supplies were minimal..barely enough TP.The floor in the breakfast area was very sticky. There was no cereal or milk, or fresh fruit. Only waffles, bread, bagels and muffins. Coffee was minimal. Staff was downright rude at the front desk when I arrived. The breakfast bar staff were non-existant and generally not present.Bad experience all around. Will never stay there again.

The rooms are large and clean and the bed is comfortable. Location is convnient. There is free shuttle to the Mall of America. Amenities are adequate (for the price). Hotel does not have its restaurant but there is a burger type restaurant next door. There are other restaurants not too far away. Free breakfast is provided, but choices are limited. The only bad experience is the false fire alarm which happened in my last two stays.

The dinning area was small. I was traveling with a young child and the hotel was very family friendly. When I checked in, they asked which floor would I like, the first or second with no elevator. I thought that it was nice of them to tell me ahead of time before I choose which floor.

I had a wonderful stay in MN due to the location and condition of my hotel. I have been traveling to MN for business since 1986. I have stayed in the same location most of the time. Recently it has become a La Quinta. I found it was much nicer than it used to be. The bed was more comfortable. The desk & chair were made for high-speed internet access in comfort. I would recommend this location and hotel for any business minded traveler.

Very close proximity to downtown Minneapolis and the Mega-mall. No rooms with spa tub in hotel.
