We were in town for a wedding in and arrived early. Their check in time is 3pm, but we were able to check in early at no addition cost. We also loved the fact that they allow pets. That's our deciding factor when checking in to a hotel. They have to allow dogs because we don't go anywhere without our precious dog. At breakfast time there a couple that arrive right as breakfast was being put away. The staff stopped and let them get their breakfast without a fuss. The couple wanted a waffle but there was no more waffle mix. The staff went and got more waffle mix and gave the couple time to make it. That's going on and beyond for the customer. The staff member could have easily said "sorry you're too late breakfast is over", but they didn't they made sure the couple got their breakfast.

I rarely complain, however when it is this bad i feel the need to say something. starting from check in. i arrived late and the front doors were locked which is understandable. However, when i rang the bell it took a while for a reply. when he finally arrived we had to yell through the door and show him my confirmation number to get let in. the rooms are about par for thr course for everything else, not real clean but this hotel felt old. breakfast area was filthy and ended up walking across the parkling lot to denny's everyday even though they had a 15 min wait every am. pool area was filled with locals everyday, i found it odd that nothing was done about this after bringing to managements attention. i have a feeling it was family of the manager or employees. The super 8 next door was cleaner and cheaper, i wish i would have known this. however i will likely stay at the Holiday inn express that was around the corner.

Perfect location. I was in their lot with my laptop making the booking. Nothing. Very nice, clean with helpful staff. Needed to send & receive a FAX & they handled it.

I stayed here one night for busines. When I checked in, the front desk staff was pleasant, and I had my room key in minutes. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Internet connection was good. Denny's is right next door, so it was nice and convenient. I had walked across the street to HEB to grab some snacks and bottled water. Everything was close and convenient.

The room was clean, beds were comfy, staff was very friendly. Nothing. Wonderful clean room, the beds were comfy and the grounds very well maintained. The bathroom is small but served its purpose. Very affordable for our trip (to visit a terminally ill family member). Very accommodating. We will definitely stay there again and again.

La Quinta Inn was located close to the highway and next to a Denny's which made morning easier. The room was simple, the bed a little worn. The TV did not work too well. Over all the hotel served its purpose. The maids did keep the room well maintained.

The shuttle driver was friendly. The bed was adequate. Smelled like smoke everywhere you went, grimy, noisy, etc. Everywhere you went you were accosted with cigarette smoke aromas (probably bouquet because it was so steeped). The rooms were pretty shabby, odors galore. The breakfast was pretty stale (and I don't really go for the breakfasts and I noticed). You couldn't escape that you were right on the highway for good and bad reasons. The desk staff seemed detached and disgruntled. I spend a great deal of time on the road and I stay at all levels of quality, and this was up there with the worst.

La Quinta Inn, Harlingen, Texas, was very accommodating. I arrived early, and exhausted. The hotel clerks were helpful with a restaurant suggestion, wake up call, and gave me toiletries I had not brought on my quick trip to visit and surprise my son at camp.

Breakfast was great, had a variety of items. Run down, things in the room didn't work. The hotel looked great outside, then we went to our room and the room smelled like smoke, the TV didn't work (they didn't have an extra one) many of the lights and lamps didn't work, the bathroom was dirty and small.

Nothing. Service & attitude! The beds felt like you were sleeping on springs. I would never suggest people stay at this hotel. The rooms were old, the beds were no better. The hotel staff was rude and not courteous at anytime.
