i had dirty towels that appeared to have been stained up by god only knows what. the shower was dirty very nasty. when i brought it to the front desks attention i was told that i would be able to bring my towels down and i could pick up my clean towels at the front desk. for the money that i paid i thought that this was very unprofessional and that this was not in fact what i had paid for at all. i would not choose to stay at this hotel again.this to me was a shame as we planned to vacation this summer back to gulf shores and will now have to search for another hotel to plan our stay.i know that this may not be the type of comments that you may want to here but i am only being honest.

Good value for the money. Shower & bathroom was out dated. This hotel met our expectations. The Priceline price made all the difference, we got a decent hotel room at a good rate.

Front desk staff was rude and very unprofessional. House keeping did nothing more than replace unfolded towels. Ants in room, and continental breakfast?? HA !! at 5 past 6 for three mornings straight they were already out of fruit? Spoke with hotel management about misquoting me for an extra night and she tried to blame our online travel website claiming the booking info was wrong when my confirmation stated it very clearly.

No ice on either floor on either night of our stay. Rooms need sound proofing. You could hear people talking outside. You could hear dogs down the hall barking. The room was nice though. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The LaQuinta Inn Gulfshores was nice, comfortable, clean hotel and it's centrally located. I liked the fact that the sink was separate from the bathroom. It is located one block from Waterville and the zoo and about a mile from the beach. You will miss it if you don't have directions, because you can't see the sign from main road.

Service, appearance awfull. Service was horrible, appearance was disgusting, abandoned landcaping, poor decoration, the bath tub not well cleaned, poor amenities, ice machine broken, and I did not felt very secure at all.

the place was a dump, worst hotel i've ever stayed at, suite was a basic room, holes in wall, shower/ no bath, tile broken in shower stall. incredible waste of money!!!! pool not clean. old furniture. outside of hotel very rundown.

THis was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. Do not go to this hotel if you are expecting a swimming pool, dining/restaurant or comfort. The beds were very uncomfortable and who can have a good trip if you don't get any sleep. The pool was ridiculous, in a closed very air-conditioned room and was freezing. This is the south with over 90 degree weather. Why wasn't the pool outside? The staff acted like they were all new and didn't know what was going on. The only good thing I would say about this hotel is that the location is good and the cleaning ladies were very friendly.

way overpriced for the "suite" which was actually a regular room, the mattress on the bed would tip off if you sat on the edge, holes in the wall, shower stall (no bathtub) tiles were broken on the floor. the pool was unclean. the place was a dump!

this la quinta was a good value for the money and it is very close to the beach. i didn't realize the pool was indoor and 60 degrees. restraunts and other attractions were very close. it's a cheap place to sleep but that's about it. :)

Close to the beach. Had a free breakfast. Breakfast wasn't very good and area was dirty. So was the pool. Staff was poor. Close to the beach but for a La Quinta it could have been so much better. Like most things, it starts with the staff, they were pretty non caring.

This was the WORST hotel experience ever for our family. We were in town for a family reunion, and the service went from bad to worse over the entire stay. We blocked off several rooms, and my uncle's room's shower head was broken. When he called to the front desk, they told him they couldn't fix it until Monday (which didn't matter since we checked out on Sunday). They were rude and uncaring. The refused to discount their room or move them to a different one. There is a manager on duty ONLY during the day, who refused to help my uncle and his wife when they talked to her. Very limited on towels. When we called for towels, they made us come to the front desk to pick them up, and required that we bring the dirty towels to them in order to receive others. Anything we needed was never available, and in order to get anything, we had to go to the front desk. They didn't even have a first aid kit when I needed a bandage. The staff doesn't seem to care at all about the guests. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do NOT use this hotel. After this experience, I will never use another LaQinta Inn again. The rooms were too expensive, and were definitely not worth the price. Our rate was * per night for a very basic room with no microwave nor refrigerator. This rate was with the group discount.

La Quinta Inn Gulf Shores, GULF SHORES, AL is in a great location, 1 block off hwy59. 1 mile from the beach with several restaurants and shops within walking distance. easy in and out with very nice motel employees.

Free Breakfast and 1 mile from the beach. Staff was poor. Pool and breakfast area was not clean. I have stayed at a couple La Quinta's and they were much better than this hotel. The staff is poor, doesn't really seem to care that their hotel is dirty. Could do a much better job since their location is good.

I booked a nonsmoking room with queen sized bed but got a previously smoking room with a king size bed. The hotel was supposed to be all nonsmoking but the room reeked of old smoke and they had no clean bedspreads or other rooms to offer

The conditions of the hotel were bad, it was dirty and smelling. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends.

Comfortable beds. The pool was unclean and breakfast time limited. Overall this hotel fulfilled the need in which the stay was for, a place to getaway for a short weekend. This would not be a place to stay for an extended period of time.
