This La Quinta is lovely in appearance and nicely situated, just great for a few days get away. The parking lot is probably the only part of the overall look that is not A+. Our entire experience would have been fantastic except for some poorly executed pool maintenance. After swimming one of us sat on the pool deck, only to discover later that it had powdered chlorine on it. This resulted in a ruined set of overalls and swimsuit. So the night there cost us more than we had bargained for. It would have been nicer had the personnel made some overtures that showed a sense of responsibility for the damages and possible health risk. They did, however, rectify the dangerous situation at the pool.

Nicely decorated room, comfy beds. Tiny pool that did not appear clean. The rooms were small but had very nice decor. The beds(double) and pillows were very comfortable. The parking lot was not very well lit and was small. Many guests were having issues with their room keys.

We needed a hotel that allowed pets; we loved that there were no pet deposits or restrictions. We were happy with the location; we were within walking distance of the beach. The room was decorated nicely and we had a very comfortable bed.

We did not like anything about this hotel. Dirty, bad plumbing, no security, bad odor. This was without a doubt the worse hotel I have ever stayed in.

If this hotel was damaged by Hurricane IKE, they done a fine job remodeling. The room was spacious, clean, plenty of towels, mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, huge television. Home away from home! Right on the Galveston Seawall with a nice view of the Gulf of Mexico.

Fair continental breakfast. Poor parking.

The hotel was very clean and the people that worked there made it extremely easy to get into my room quickly. The only negative that I can say is that the blanket on the bed was very stiff. The sheets and pillows were amazing but the blanket...not so much!

Ocean view. Ice machine didn't work. The hotel was not bad for the money. It was nothing fancy, but everything was nice and clean. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Would stay at again.

Nice place. It is newly remodeled at this time. The rooms are very nice. The only bad thing I can say is that there were always a couple of people hanging around outside drinking which brings the place down a notch in my opinion. Overall a good experiance.

Good location. Everything else. Our room had black mold in the bathroom. My wife is taking chemo for cancer, I did not think that was safe for her so I put her in the second room.

The hotel up keep was very poor. I am not a smoker and had no other option than to stay in a smoking room. There were burn marks on everything, the bath tub, the sink and even the dresser. The TV was also an issue. Every 30 seconds the channel would change all on it's own.

The room was newly remodeled. There was construction still going on. The hotel was short on towels and linen in the room. The staff was not overly friendly except at the desk. The room was attractive and the bed was about mid line in comfort. For the money it was fairly good hotel.

The La Quinta Inn Galveston was a comfortable size room. Adequate space, bathroom size fine, vanity area spacious. But all of that does not really matter when you walk into the room and what hits you is a foul odor. We had to go to the store to get disinfectant spray. Also the bathroom did not look very clean. The continental breakfast was not adequate either, there was no milk, no yogurt. Cream cheese & bagels were on low supply. When asked about lack of breakfast, one of the hotel staff stated it was her fault she forgot to defrost the milk. This was the first weekend of Spring break & the hotel & staff were not prepared for the fully booked hotel crowd.

The front desk area was more nice and clean also the dining area. We did not like the dust on the TV and tables also behind the end table by the beds and the molded dirty shower curtain no water adjustment. The hotel is ok, just old looking and our room needed to be cleaned more such as dusted behind the end tables by the bed an on top of the TV and the shower curtain was dirty and molded plus the faucet in the tub was to hard to adjust the hot and cold water. TV did not show a good picture.

The room was very terrible. The refrig did not work the microwave did not work in the bath tub the water would not drain nor would the sink. Nothing worked. We only stayed one night. Was not happy with hotel at all.

Location. A large group took up a lot of parking spaces and were partying. Management did nothing after we complained. Great location. Nothing fancy, but if you get a Gulf view, it is nice.

Friendly and courteous personnel. Is being remodel, it seems very unsafe and dirty.

I did not like anything about this hotel. It felt like a cheap motel that was paid for by the hour. Hotel was disgusting. Although I was only staying in Galveston for night, I refused to treat myself and my fianc so badly. The staff was ok and helpful but the hotel was horrible. From the moment we drove from the lobby to our room, we were dumbfounded. The place looked so trashy. Our room smelled moldy, the bathrooms were somewhat clean I was scared to look at the towels. We try to use the wireless but it wasn't working. We called the lobby but the static on the phone wouldn't let us through. I couldn't take it anymore so we left within 30 minutes of our arrival. They were nice enough not to charge us so kudos to them for that. We drove to San Luis Resort. Got a nice room for a decent price with a beautiful view. I recommend that to anyone, anyway. Nothing beats comfort and cleanliness.

Clean, comfortable beds, minimal noise. Minimal amount of parking due to construction. Would stay at this hotel again.
