I was in Montgomery with my son for a funeral. The room smelled of gasoline(go figure)! There were two holes in the carpet about 8-12 inches across, the microfridge was not there as stated in brochure. When my son and I went to take baths-- the water was BROWN!!! The counter agent had to move us to another room that stunk like gasoline as well but the water wasn't brown! Very terrible experience!!

I will say that the staff was exceptional. On check in [...] was very nice and took care of everything. Later, I believe her name was [...] took over and she was just as nice and tried to assist me as best she could with the main problem I was having. Problems were huge and the 1st hindered my work. 1st I selected this hotel based on the fact La Quinta offered offered high speed Internet in the rooms. The APs were down and there was no Internet access in the rooms. Lodgenet managed the network and was unable to fix the problem. I was unable to work in the evening and had to spend most of my time at an Internet cafe. 2nd The bed frame had a metal bar that was used to support the bed. It extended 4" from the frame on the side of the bed and was covered by a bed skirt and could not be seen. At least 4 times I rammed my ankle into the bar which was very painful. Yes I did try to be aware of the bar but did escape me 4x.

The friendly staff, cleanliness and location made my stay at the La Quinta a joyous one. The only thing I disliked about this hotel is on the outside it looked a bit rundown. This hotel was comfortable for a business traveler such as me. The room was clean, and the breakfast was adequate. I enjoyed my stay.

La Quinta always strike me as very nice hotels with sometimes iffy locations. This is one of those. Judging from the outside and even in the hallways, I was afraid of what the interior of the rooms would look like. I was pleasantly surprised. They were great and the Wi-Fi worked nicely. The down side is that it was difficult to see from the road and get to. The address thoroughly confused my GPS and we drove around for 30 minutes trying to find the "right" East road. And even then it was off of the main road tucked behind a restaurant and right next door to another hotel. I only recommend this hotel if you are using Montgomery as a stop on the way to another destination. (a mere 13 homicides in the city this year!)

We chose this LaQuinta because we were traveling with our 2 dogs. When I was quoted a rate of $*, I really figured it must be a fleabag or in a really bad part of town. What a surprise! First, X, was extraordinarily accomodating when we called with car trouble. Nice young man! Not knowing if we could make it, he searched for other pet-friendly hotels in the Birmingham area for us. So glad we made it. We got to meet X in person and were not disappointed, just as friendly in person. Our room was very clean and well-appointed with a microwave and frig. Given that we were right off the interstate, it was relatively quiet. LOTS of restaurants within a one-mile radius. Television offered lots of stations including all the mainstays. I would come to Montgomery again just for the value. Thanks, X and LaQuinta!

The bath tub was stopped up and whenI went to tell the hotel they did nothing or said nothing to me later. The hotel was nasty there was a big burn spot on the floor. The bath was stopped up and whenI went to tell the front desk they did nothing about the bath and whenI went back to the room my key did not work. andI asked about the bath and the night guy knew nothing. The phone in my room did not work. It was a very bad stay andI would never stay at that hotel again.

Worst Hotel EVER. Me and some of my buds went to a football game, and on the way back we were to spent to come home to ATL. So we stayed at the La Quinta. When we checked in it was okay, but when we reached our room, we were disappointed. There was a terrible smell in there when we came in, and later when we were going to sleep, we discovered that the sheets were still wet, obviously from a washing... breakfast was okay but i'd rather sleep in my car next time i think of that hotel.

I have stayed at many LaQuinta's previously to this hotel stay. I was very disappointed. The hotel was very run down. The breakfast did not compare to other LaQuinta breakfasts that I have had. There was not much variety of food available.

The front desk was accommodating. The rooms smelled. We called specifically to get a handicapped room which we were told we had. We called ahead of time to verify that we were running a little late for our handicapped room and was told that everything was fine. When we arrived we had no handicapped room as previously told to us. They were very accommodating and moved us to the same hotel next door which was newer, with a handicapped room and did not charge us extra.

Roaches and crickets were residing there before, during, and after my stay. The water in all drains ran extremely slow. Two people could not shower back to back time wise because the tub would have possilby overflowed due to the slow drainage. It wasn't until I arrived home I looked at my checkout receipt and I had been checked out under someone else's information and hotel rate. I assume they had mine. I did arrive one hour before check-in and the desk was very helpful in finding me an available room. Breakfast was available as stated on the website.

It was apparent that the room used to be smoking. The scent was lingering in there (probably in the carpet). Much older part of the hotel - reason for the lower price I am sure. Overall, I guess it wasn't BAD, just couldn't recommend it.

The room as satisfactory and the motel was convenient to I-85. I did have a little trouble finding it because of its location and the lack of easily seen signs.

The location and the comfort of the bed. The choice for breakfast was not good. The room was comfortable. The hotel was wonderful for the cost.
