It is very close to Old Town Sacramento and the capitol; two places we wanted to visit while we were here to visit friends. They had a nice continental breakfast, pool and fitness room. There is easy access to a bike path/walking path along the river right behind the motel. Very nice staff and clean rooms. There is some noise from the freeway but not enough to bother us while watching TV or sleeping. Great stay for the price.

Perfect location for this trip. Limited access, single driveway. Located with several other budget motels adjacent to major freeway and near the downtown area. Very convenient location if trip is centered in Sacramento.

ameneties promised were not provided.(i.e. high speed internet and fridge). the room was clean but the blankets were shabby. i chose this motel for the price and location, which was convenient but will spend more or be a little inconvenienced next time. i will not stay there again.

The hotel is right off the highway and 5 mins from the heart of downtown, but it is really quiet and tucked away at the end of a street. There are several other hotels on the same block and a gas station across the street. Even though the hotel was large and mostly booked, it felt like we were the only ones there. The room was clean and roomy. The La Quinta Inn is easy to get to from the airport and we enjoyed our stay. We drove 5 mins to downtown to eat late at night and to get to the mall. It was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again when in town.

I was assigned this hotel after a cancelled flight. Due to the situation, and proximity to the airport, I resigned to tough it out. I wish I had taken the cab to a real hotel. This hotel is old, worn, and not worthy of the LaQuinta name. The window unit a/c ran all night making noise from a bad bearing, the beds sunk in the middle from age, the carpeting was laid over bare concrete with no pad, the linens were torn, worn and too old to be used. The only upside was it was no expense to me and there was free wireless. Only stay here if you don't have a car to sleep in.

hotel is right next to river beach, and the freeway so easy to get to and find. Staff was friendly, good breakfast waffles.

I dont want to say that the staff was unfriendly, but they were not nice. They were unemotional. The room was small but you get what you pay for I guess. The food from the restaurant that delivered was EXPENSIVE but tasty. Lots of dust and the shower curtain had mold on it. I like to keep the little samples of things they give, like coffee and shampoo but this motel only gave 1 of everything even though 2 adults were staying. I feel bad about complaining but I always compare my motel stays to the vacations I take in Vegas and this one didnt come close.

They do not oil their doors. When I would use the bathroom at night the squeak would wake my wife. Oil the squeaky doors, get the bathtub draining faster and I'd stay there again.

We stayed for 2 nights and was surprised with the age of this hotel. It was pretty old. The building is well painted outside, but the rooms need work. Our room's carpet was not well vacuumed, since we found pet hair. The pool is clean, but is not heated. One of our drapes was missing. The staff was nice. We left feed back with the staff in hope that they would improve facilities. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. I have seen better breakfasts at other La Quintas. If they improve the areas we told them about, we would be back.

we were advised we were not in a ""safe"" part of town. we were two females traveling and had a few problems with male customers downstairs from us. overall, not a safe environment.

Since I was conducting interviews in needed to be in different areas of Sacramento. This hotel was a perfect location with easy access to freeways.

It was convenient and moderately priced. It could have been a bit cleaner especially around the elevator.

We had a paid and confirmed reservation for a non smoking room with a king size bed. At registration we were told that no non smoking rooms with king size beds were available. They told us that we should call the hotel directly to check on availability. My wife and I were given a room with two full size beds. Very bad. Ranjan Gunasekera

Great place to stay for the price! Only 2 eating places within walking distance. Free shuttle service was awesome! Took us to the malls, downtown, Arco arena. Very friendly drivers and hotel staff. Free continental breakfast needs improvement. Definintely would stay again!

We had some friends who stayed at a nearby motel who had a living room, kitchen, and 2 bedrooms, each with a bathroom, that we would have chose instead. Further away from the freeway a few blocks for a similar price. We would have chosen that. The room at La Quinta was clean, beds were very comfortable, but no separate chair for reading. There was a nice desk with a chair. Bathroom was nice and large enough. Staff was excellent and location was a few blocks to the freeway.
